I am not a fan of the various labour unions but I respect the unions and will never treat the president of a union in that manner.

The truth is that most of the losses are paper losses. Many of those companies or conglomerates have been investing in forex through several currency trading activities, they enjoyed the margin when it was profitable so they should also manage the loss.

I strongly agree with you that the bulk of their losses are paper losses.

Another strong opinion is that most companies in Nigeria connive with their auditors deliberately to report losses on their financial reports for most years to reduce tax liabilities and pay the minimum tax payable. I am not down with the importation of Crude Oil for KRPC. The alternative is to sell the KRPC to a private investor who will just buy the goodwill, landed properties, machinery and equipment at scrap value. Federal Government is expected to settle all pending liabilities of KRPC and allow this new investor to invest their resources in new, standard and updated refinery.
