Its not hard to see why Nigeria is in a mess despite numerous churches in Nigeria and number of people that call the name of God daily. Can you explain more on this |

worry359: You can not just buy a visa like yams at the market! You must convince the visa officer that you have a valid reason for the visa, but more so you must prove that you will return home after your visit. I think he is talking about paying for visa fee and not visa issued by embassy Holudarey01: Sharp guy. Why not wait for admission first. It's just like paying for sevis when you're about to write GRE If he can perceive that the admission is sure, it's not a bad idea to pay for visa fee since he is afraid that the price will increase just as the same way PMS fee increased over night and am sure if some people are aware they would have purchase 100 litres and keep it at home and sustain with it for the main time |

Dominicumoh: Thanks a bunch for your concern...The VO gave me those reasons because I was bold to ask him after I was rejected a second time. It may be difficult to get a scholarship now because I've already schedule an appointment for next week Friday. I just need advise on how to get it done successfully. Bro... Do you ask yourself why VO gave you that answer after asking why the denial second time kindly think deep of that VO's answer |

cutemorgan: Good evening house, Visa was approved today at US consulate, Lagos. I have to take out time to appreciate everyone; deetus(for his help with my SOP critique) imperiouxx, slimmy, santaclause, snazzygirl, zeezahbee, bigfrancis, walspring, biikeys, bbdd, happney65 and all other gurus in the house, everyone on this thread is appreciated. Special shoutouts to my ogas in the game too; SirRiddy, Holudarey01 and Fortissimo (Thanks for the morale..Your heads are valid in profojah's thick voice *lol*). And of course adorable Rhemmie91 (thanks for being there since undergraduate days).
Got to the embassy some few minutes before 10am for my 11am interview. At about 15 mins before 11, we joined the queue and we headed in. Thanks to all the gurus here, I was quite familiar with the process and very few things seem strange to me. After the security checks, we were directed into the hall. Contrary to my thought that we will still chill a bit after the biometric verification and all(mehn, they directed us to join the queue ni straight up), then a lady directed me to window 7. The V.O was interviewing a lady while I wait in line. I could hear some of their conversation(mehn I dey there oo but my mind don travel). After she concluded with the lady, I just dey there oo, I nor gree go her front(make she nor think say I dey do oversabi), then she beckoned on me to step forward.
V.O: Good morning, can you pass me your passport and your i20. Me: Good morning ma, Here they are. V.O: What will your research be about? Me: I will be working with Dr. Bleep on the development of alternative synthetic routes for natural products using oxyallyl and triphosgene. V.O: oh..ok, so what's the essence of the synthesis(cant remember the exact way the question was structured)? Me: Natural products are obtained from plants and to get a small quantity of natural product we might have to exhaust a vast amount of plant. So we will be working on alternative routes to synthesizing these natural products. V.O: So how did you know about this school? Me: It was referenced (mehn, fear make recommended disappear comot for my head) to me by one of my lecturers. He did his graduate study there. V.O: I can see you have assistantship. Me: Yes ma V.O: Is it a research assistantship or a teaching assistantship? Me: It is a Teaching assistantship. V.O: I will be approving your visa, you can pick up your passport from the circled location by Tuesday, and there's a briefing organized by education Usa. It's coming up......can't remember everything she said. Me: Just nodding, thank you very much ma. In all, it was just God grace. Can't say I was eloquent(my voice dey cut) but it was God al the way. Many more success stories to come by God grace. Amen.... Congrats and enjoy your stay in Obamaland.. Are you a member of educationUsa |

bigfrancis21: He may be right though. It is on the US embassy's website that the current exchange rate of N197 to $1 being used will expire next Tuesday, 5/17/2016. Meaning that the new exchange rate will either be higher or lower, the possibility of being higher being more stronger.
http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-visafeeinfo.asp I guess the new exchange rate will be $200 and I don't think it will exceed the CBN official rate.. In few days time we will know the new cost. |

warriboy21: y dnt u tel dat to someone who threaten to expose d visa page of a person e used to call friend
pls respect urself. i respect u alot..... . I understand you based on the threat aspect but we should not forget that something happened before the threat surface, Am sure if that something didnt happened there wont be no threat because to you/him/others it was a joke but not a joke to someone else, what someone with over look, another person will take it personal. I dont want to raise up dead matter and i am not here to side anyone on these matter since i could recall how it all started and i am aware that you knew the beginning and how it all started before the threat as you claimed? There are some matters here that we need to over look just as some other people over looked it.. If most of us here can mind our business and main purpose of this thread, i am sure things like that wont happen.. How many times do you see the likes of OjaP, bigfrancis, Imperiouxx, godG etc post or talk about unprofitable discussion here? N.B ----- If we respect ourselves and stay calm and dont provoke trouble, I am sure that trouble wont look for us. I can't imagine myself having malice, grudges and quarrel with someone I can't see his/her face, I tagged it childish |

Dominicumoh: Hi Guys, I was denied visa again Abuja Consulate. first denial was on April 22, and second was 9th May,...I am on my way again to the bank to pay another visa fee because I just have to get the visa. I have $40,000 funding from my uncle.
After the second denial, I was bold to ask the visa officer his reasons for denying me,..He said it was unusual for an uncle to spend that much on his nephew's education and that it was impossible for my company to ask me to return to them after my studies because I worked only for a year with them,.just when I was about bringing out my uncle's bank statement and the affidavit of support, he told me to just go for now and called on the next person.
Please I need your candid advise. I want to schedule my appointment this time in Lagos, and I intend to get an official letter of support from my uncle stating that I am his nephew and he is willing to pay in addition to his bank statement and the affidavit of support from the school. what can you advise?
Also, my uncle's account statement is in dollars,.his dominiciary account,.Do they accept such statements?
Please advise ASAP because I don't want to miss this opportunity my uncle gave to me. I want to do an M.Sc in Electrical Engineering in the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut..... Bold 1 You need to give conc reason why your uncle wanted to sponsor you and spend that such amount on you in order for the VO to be convinced in his/her spirit/mind Bold 2, Sometimes people need to be aware of things they tell VO during their interview because some excuses are not reasonable at all. So you need to tell the VO why it's 100% possible for the company to ask you to come back and continue to work with them after your studies unless it's family company or business.. |

brightify: Hello gurus in the house, my uncle payed for my sevis fee through check, but my payment status remain not paid, he mailed it on Saturday may 7,why did the status remain not paid? Just take chill pie because the stuff is yet to be delivered to dhs offie and after they received it, they will take it to bank and process the check for 1-3 working days.. If lucky, they can get payment on day one and update your payment status if not they wait untill bank clear the check |
