Hi All,

I need your comments on this. I have had the opportunity to choose between iPhone and the latest Blacberry. My major concerns are to have a phone that has useful apps and durability. Yes, i may like some form of design looks but that is secondary. I need you to put yourselves in my shoes and tell me which you will likely go for and why. Thank you.

Nairaland / General / Stop! All Treads Of Ethnic And Religious Sentiments On Nairaland! by wariowei(m): 11:57am On Feb 19, 2010
Dear Nairalanders, Seun copied;

I see this forum as one of the biggest, if not the biggest, online forum in Nigeria. Linking voices from the North to the South and the East to the West of Nigeria. A forum populated by vibrant youths and the future leaders of Nigeria. This is a forum that not only educates the Nigerian youth but also informs, entertains and give links that betters their future. I call this forum the gathering of the Nigerian Land.

Howbeit, if we not careful with the type of topics we post here, we use this forum to create online wars, create bitterness amongst us, increase the dividing lines, and make us many Nigerians instead of one Nigeria. I have read through various treads and some of them carry much more than enough sentiments of ethnic lines. Why will Nigerian future leaders be celebrating the woes of our fathers. If we must be like the US, UK, etc., we must use of strength to build our tomorrow. In the UK youths dont talk of being Scottish or Irish or English, but they say they are British. So applies in the US. Our fathers have spent years fight endless wars on this divide but what have we gained? Nothing! Instead we keep decelerating while other countries of the world have left us far behind.

I am an Ijaw man but I believe in you from the Igbo region, Yoruba region, Hausa region, North, East, West, South, to build us together. Let us have the interest of one another at heart. Use our ethnic diversity to build our unity. Use our various religions to foster peace and tranqulity. I hope to see a Nigeria where the Southern man will stop talking about Millitancy and resource control, the Eastern man stop talking about Biafra, the Northern man stop talking about Politics, The Western man,  I dont know. Other African countries are waiting on us to take the lead in making Africa a champion.

Adminstrator of Nairaland, I propose you allow only constructive treads on Nairaland from now on! Thank you!

The beauty of renovating a house is not just by pulling out the inferior blocks but taking out time to search for a quality and reliable replacement for the inferior blocks. In my own opinion, if you cant see a better replacement then allow the inferior blocks which has being serving to expire before replacing them.
Politics / Re: Civil war not against Ndigbo — Gowon by wariowei(m): 8:24am On Feb 16, 2010
There are two sides to a coin. The story of the Nigerian civil war has being told in many conflicting scripts but this generation must stop dwelling on the past and think of the future. The Eastern region which the Biafrans claimed they owned is not carried by all and sundry. The Ijaws and the Ibibios and the rest of the ethnic majors in the Niger Delta all have the voice for self determination. I do not see the actions of Gowon in bringing back the dividing Nigeria as being wrong, I do not see the inclusion of the Niger Delta in Biafra map as being right. But we must live and lets live.
Politics / Is Man-know-man An Evil Act In The Society? by wariowei(m): 7:37pm On Oct 25, 2009
Hi All,

I was one of the many who hated this 'evil' called man-know-man in Nigeria. Especially, as I have tried in several ways to get want I want, even when I'm qualified, and no one is even noticing my presence. As a result, I get offended when I see people that are are less qualified get it.

Come to think of it, what if I'm the one that gets it at the end of the day, when people that are more qualified hadn't? What will I call it? Miracle? Now, this whole thing changed my orientation but I still don't know where to draw the line. So, I've brought it for us to examine.

Pls make your view clear!

Thank you!

Finally, abstain from sex until you're married. Cheers!

Hi Nairalanders,

I got this mail from a fellow who needs the help of good Nigerians. His story is pathetic and i think i should let you know. Read below message and check attached for the pix.

Subject: kidnapper / armed robber that operates in Rivers, Abia and Imo state.
Friends,
Please help me spread this email and the attachment to all your friends, relatives and coworkers. The attachment is a picture of Nwaeze Adiele (also known as Eze Adiele), armed robber and a Kidnapper who lives in PH. He is from Azumini in Obingwa LGA of Abia State.

Himself and 3 others kidnapped my mother in July 2008 from our village in Imo state. The boy from my village that brought the Kidnappers has taken the police to Nwaeze Adiele's house in PH and also to his village (along KM-9 Aba-Azumini Road, Akpaa Mbato Community in Obingwa LGA, Abia State) but he ran away. From his house in PH, the police recovered three AK-47 guns, 21 magazines for AK-47 (each one with hundreds of rounds), several riffles (one of which belongs to a policeman that was killed on the 5th of January this year, 400 bullets for the different riffles, 2 bullet-proof vests, army uniforms, car licence plates, and many other stuffs he uses for kidnapping.

According to the Rivers State assistant commisioner of Police, there have been so many reports of armed robberies involving one of the man's cars. The car (a nissan pathfinder) and a stollen Honda Civic is in the police custody now.

The police has arrested and put the wife in Jail.

He drives a light blue Peugeot 405. Please help me pass this email around and please notify the police immediately if you have any information that will lead to his arrest.

Thanks you.

Politics / Re: Black Or White: Who Is More At Practical Racism? by wariowei(m): 10:18pm On Jan 07, 2009
Kobojunkie:

I was under the impression that black america was only 12% of america?

Yes, you are right about the figure drawn from 2006 census. But you see, there are various contentions on the proper definition of who the blacks and black-americans are and all that. So the figure, i thinks, runs between 12.8% - 22% depending on the bases of your assessment.
Politics / Black Or White: Who Is More At Practical Racism? by wariowei(m): 8:12pm On Jan 07, 2009
Recent changes around the world today have shown the fact that blacks are worse when it comes to racism. Yet, we complain more on the issue.

Today, before our very eyes a black man rose to becoming the president of a country that has only about 22% blacks. Is it not amazing?! Now, turn the table the opposite direction, will a black man give presidency to a white man with that percentage in population? No oh,  you sef check am na.

If the Igbos like they should take half the population of Lagos, the Yoruba man will not give them governor of Lagos State. And so it is with other regions of the country. Even if a white man has family line in Nigeria and he's as good as any thing else, they wont give him president. When will a white man become the president of South Africa?

You can see that blacks are fighting racism, yet they are racist themselves.
Romance / Re: My Boyfriend Relies On Me For His Financial Needs by wariowei(m): 8:42am On Sep 23, 2008
Chei ya!!!! Poor Poster.

See amma, I'll give you tips to help you make rightful decision. The issue here is not about how much you've spent on him or how much satisfaction he gives you on bed. Of course, these are obvious benefits of a r/ship and that's what most r/ship anchor on. And it certainly can come from either parties.

Let me quickly remind you that you're not the only one in such shoes, lots of girls are in it and are much more comfortable with it. It depends on what you want now that will also help you in future. Because i believe the answers you look for are futuristic. Now find out these questions:

1. Does your man really loves you to want to sacrifice for your sake? Now, the sacrifice i mean here is not all about money because money isn't every thing. I mean the much interest he shows on things concerning you.
2. Are his vision and goals what you want in your kind of man?
3. Are you comfortable with his features? By his features i mean the way he talks, the kind of friends he hangs out with, his size, looks, intelligence, etc.

If you get your answers (not mine) correct 3/3, girl, i'll advice you stay with him, if not, walk away!
Family / Who Gets More Of Your Love? Your Father Or Mother? by wariowei(m): 9:00am On Sep 14, 2008
Hi Landers,

This issue keeps me thinking all the time because i wonder who gets more of my love in my family. I threw this questions to some friends and their reactions were quite different. Some say Mother to Father is 50:50. Some say no! Theirs is 90:10, 20:80, etc.

How do you share 100% love to both parents? Please be fair and honest.
Travel / Re: Missing Plane Found In Cross River: After 6 Months! by wariowei(m): 6:15am On Sep 04, 2008
I think the FG or the aviation ministry needs to set up a CTU or Forensic investigation unit made up of hunters, fishermen, fulani cow rearers, native doctors (orubo), abrakatabralists, etc. What can I say? Since western technology cant help the situation in Nigeria, lets try local.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Why Do Most Nigerians Want Obama To Win? by wariowei(m): 5:52am On Sep 04, 2008

Miss use of thread!

Miss use of language!

Miss placement of anger!

SEUN,

Arrest all of them now.

Are the millitants responsible for your joblessness? It surprises me to see young folks who call themselves graduates, make such negative contributions on issues involving Niger Delta. Obviously, none of you negative contributors are from the Niger Delta. Of course, greed wont allow you to see the real true facts on ground, even if the facts are as white as snow.

An inheritance of greed. That's what i call it. Our fore father, out of greed, refuse to identify these issues, now you all are sweeping these same issue under the rug. The rug will keep smelling until somebody with a Godly heart comes to clean the mess up.

I wish someday the hammer of this Niger Delta region, in which you've badmouthed on such a long thread as this, will fall on you all. Yes na! Instead of using your heads as graduates to profer positive solution to this problem we all, as Nigerians, are facing, you're busy talking nonsence.

Change oooooo! Nnateh?!

Romance / Re: Marriage: He Wants Me To Wait Until I'm 32 by wariowei(m): 12:33pm On Apr 22, 2008
Amma Rockchic!

I don't mean to scare you but I think 27 years, for a woman, is far too ripe for marriage. Of course you know what happens when something has passed the ripe age. Come on, any year added to this will further strain your chances of getting married to a man of your choice.

Here's an advice. Since both of you are working, tell him move for your marriage introduction now, then the proper wedding may come later. At least, it's a test of seriousness, If he doesn't, then quit!

Two things are possible here. Either you pause your age while waiting for 5 years, or you pause your chances of getting married to your choice man.

Act fast! Act right!

I suppose this forum is meant for a positive drive towards harnessing information, creativity and innovativeness for the betterment of ourselves, and our nation, naija, at large? What is idea of exchanging abuses on one another, and trying to show how much stuff we've got in a negative manner?

eKWutoZiaM, it's quite irresponsible of u to have introduced this line of talk, spreading your dirty manner in public. It's people like you we kidnap and punish. People like you will always become virus in a good forum.

Make use of your time well.
