Danhumprey: Bro,please forward this to the Front Page. There are alot of lessons to be learnt.seconded!! |
vivacious vivi: Apology accepted. Sorry I called you an Ijit.sister, analytically speaking, lecturers the remuneration of lecturers is fairly OK. some of those allowances they are seeking for ought to be paid by the universities. secondary school teachers are remunerated worse yet we don't hear them making noise, I ain't saying it's fair m just saying ASUU is selfish.. imagine if the polytechnics and colleges are demanding in like manner? how many hours do lecturers work in a week,? what I hate most is hearing them saying they are fighting for d students, That's a lie...a robust one, let them make do with the funds disbursed, I hate d government but to be candid they have tried |
Austeenx: He's füçkïñg.vaseline things right? |
nyere84: Ok. first, op am sorry for nt reading evrytin u wrote there.aunty... that ur picture na elele o...chai!!! |
tsleazy: Hahahahahahaha.....no be only 9ja, now where are ASUU haters that say "ASUU are very wicked, and care only abt themselves", what can y'all say abt uk lecturers huh ?shut that gutter... ur post smells of arrant foolishness and inconceivable stupidity... crap!!! |
zube01: ..wasak this ur excuse na wah ooh...na firewood u take type that ur excuse,?brother abeg no vex na my phone I take type am.my system no get bar @ all and I don type am there... Seriously I'm so sorry for keeping u guys waiting. |
vivacious vivi: I hear your point and it hold No water. Ask your self why an oil rich nation of ours has been running on a budget deficit from time immemorial. Our expenses will always be more than an income because all the FG and previous govts do is spend spend spend on various sectors that are not growth-enhancing. Half which either end up and abandoned projects, misappropriated funds or misplaced priorites -a la the case of the agricultural sector for decades.now Nigeria is oil rich... agreed. there's gross misappropriation of funds. agreed. let's take a Look at it this way,y not protest against corruption since obviously it's d bane of our development. if u schooled in Nigeria @ all u should know that even our. lecturers aren't innocent of corruption... if they want jumbo pay. it's as simple as resigning, getting a form for any political office and whatever... If we wanna fight corruption let's fight it... if we wanna earn more money we need not camouflage under the auspices of fighting for the students.... lastly, I ain't referring to ur dad,I'm sorry if u feel offended. Thanks. |
Austeenx: You don't expect me to use vaseline on a family picture, right?OK bro Thanks for d clarification. I Hope we get that new defender soon |
booked |
Austeenx: Wow!bro what of ur vaseline? has Barcelona signed a new defender? |
how does this inform ASUU that they are doing more harm than good? |
vivacious vivi: I am with ASUU on this 100%. Agreed, its quite unfortunate that students would suffer but nothing good comes easy. I have had it up to here with excuses made by successive govts on why certain agreements made with ASUU can not be honored. Its a gross injustice! At the end of the day, these same members of the so called Elite government will be earning unknown sums of money as "salaries", gettiung huge benefits and housing allowances, buying bullet-proof amoured vehicles worth millions of Naira (that is the vices that we end up finding about o), vacations abroad with 50 team delegations and mansions in various parts of the world. ASUU should NOT shift ground.I am ready to challenge ASUU to a debate, d government as corrupt as it is have shifted ground, what the hell is ASUU fighting for? let's say our lecturers aren't qualified enough, y don't they overhaul themselves if they are truly fighting for d system? OK. they want over 3 trillion naira? how much is the overall budget of the country? do u know how many years Nigeria has been running on budget deficit? common!! think... so after providing the funds Nigerian universities will automatically become world class? is ur Aristo Dad a. lecturer? |
The rate of ignorance peddled on this forum is alarming!! Gone were the days when posters outwit each other with facts and not hearsay, make-belief etc Do you have access to the employment contract of an academic staff? Have you seen or read through the 2009 agreement? You have to get all the angles to make informed contributions and not rants laden with youthful exuberance and indolence!! Even if they don't teach for ten years, the government will have to pay them!! The employment contract entails them to do research and academics and they are on academic strike or have you seen any university under locks and keys! Yes, the industrial action is affecting the students and not good for all concerned but the fault lies with the government and not ASUU! And if you think otherwise, let's discuss facts .
if ASUU. is truly fighting for d betterment of the system y can't they make do with d funds provided? y can't they manage it and come for more later? what the hell is the meaning of examination and supervision allowance? where the hell is the internally generated revenue of the universities? Please don't infuriate me with ur sentimental comment... |

Olumidzti: how many days do your senators sit per week? & how much do they get?if u want money like the senators join d gaddamn politics... or better still protest against their pay... imagine if everyone wants to earn like d senators what will Nigeria turn into? even shoemakers will go on strike. |

Nigeria... drama ,drama and more drama... |
so they have to be naked before we know Who's beautiful? |
continues It probably would have been better if I didn’t go back home, that morning, when I got home, I met everyone searching for my mum’s phone which I switched off after the call. They were already trying to reach the number which didn’t go through. I started thinking of an escape route for what I caused unaware of the fact that my sister saw me receiving a call. When my parents requested to see the phone with which I was receiving the call, I had no choice than to produce the kidnapped phone. My mum quickly confirmed her account balance…guess you know the rest? A moment of heavy tongue-lashing followed, as if that was not enough, my punishment for that morning was fasting, yes I was made to forgo my breakfast. I wasn’t moved a bit for I had something more valuable than food or so I thought… When I later got to my room to ponder over my discussion with Funke, I started wondering why Funke asked me not to trust her, y did she ask me not to put my mind on the relationship, ‘is she planning to jilt me?’ I kept asking myself several questions. Funny enough I answered all the questions the way my heart wanted it…’sure she’ll never break my heart’, I kept assuring myself. Later that day when I succeeded in getting recharge card from mama chisom via credit, I decided to call Funke, for moments without listening to her voice seemed…eternity. I tried and tried to no avail. Her number didn’t go through, I concluded her battery was probably low. I decided to call later in the night, the only response I got throughout was ‘switched-off’. Same thing the next day, I kept calling …I called to the extent that it became a reflex action…I was even dialing her number unconsciously for two day to no avail!!! It seemed like the end of the world for me, my heartbeat increased its beating, I lost appetite and only ate little food, my bed was virtually useless for the 2 days, sleep evaded me..all I could do was think, when I didn’t get answers, I thought harder…..Oh love!!! to be continued later. |
