Hi Ticha,
Thanks for finding time to explain things. Please, I have few questions:
1 you suggested that study-route is easier to PR. What are the chances of surviving/paying up even as a student (job availability) when most economic activities isn't quite flourishing (pandemic)?
2. Apart from upgrading and packaging one's professional resume, are there other things to do in other to land a job in NZ directly from Naija?
3. Must one have a job/be sponsored by a company to qualify for a work Visa?
4. What professions/careers would you suggest have more opportunities to get jobs/work visas directly from Naija?
Thanks |

@ damflo...can you walk us through your job applications journey?
Work visa process is easier in Dubai,
I applied for appointment and got a response that same day to come to the embassy 2 days later, but I had to postpone it to the following week because I was waiting for the physical copy of the Labour Office pre approval.
Visa interview was very straightforward and the officer was very friendly and helpful. Just a few questions. 3 working days later approval email, and 3 days later visa was collected. So everything took a week from Appointment Date. Landed in Germany a few days ago.[/quote] |

I think you should email and call the embassy immediately. Also, please, can you share the bank process? Thanks ghettonews: Guys today I successfully blocked my acct through Sterling bank. But the little worries I have now is that my interview date is on 15tth Feb and the bank said they can't guarantee me that it would be ready by 15th which is Monday, I just don't know what to do, can I go for the interview explaining to them that I already funded but haven't gotten a confirmation? Will I be interviewed |

To folks in Germany;
What are the Pre and Post-graduation opportunities for those in the field of management sciences (e.g Msc in International business, Business Management, etc) ?
Also, must a student who graduate from this field only work or search for opportunities in it, even though he had taken some IT courses and certifications while studying?
Thanks |

NaotoKan: After you get in, there are many scholarships you can apply to. This is because you are a student unlike when you were a prospective student. There exist limited number (not more than five last I researched) for a Nigerian to apply while in Nigeria as a prospective student. The issue here is having to present living expenses bank statement to the immigration authorities prior to being issued the CESR (pre-visa). This process is independent of your admission and payment of tuition. If you already have an MSc, then it is best you apply to a PhD program - better chances for the professor to apply for scholarships (which will cater for your living expenses) on your behalf prior to coming so that the immigration authorities will have an evidence there is a source of finance to cater for yourself. Remember, these living expenses are the periods for your program. MSc is for two years while PhD is for three years. Also, I don't know how old you are but I don't see the point targeting another MSc. Why not a PhD? Then again, this depends entirely on you and your professor of interest.
Good luck! Please, can you suggest schools that mostly grant such scholarships and specific links. Thanks |

DGodson99: Hi there, I like to speak for my profession which is IT. I would suggest UI/UX, infrastructure services, data analytics. These are very relevant in the German market right now. You really don't need to know programming for these but if you can learn it aswell. There are tons of free materials online to guide you especially LinkedIn and youtube. Thanks brother! Please I have few questions regarding this. 1. Where/how do one start to learn data analytics (as a beginner)? 2. Please recommend learning sites/materials. 3. How long does it take to be competent/competitive? |

MrAAA2: Hi fams. I arrived Cologne, Germany yesterday morning from Dubai-Bahrain-Frankfurt using Gulf Air. The flight was nice and no time wasting from takeoff in Dubai DXB Terminal 3 to Frankfurt Terminal 1. The Germany border control police did not seemed to care about COVID-19 Negative result neither did the Gulf Air in Dubai. I have been continuing my lectures in my self-quarantine. Inside is warm with the heater/oven while out there is cold between 4-7 degrees celcius.
For those who will be travelling from the Gulf Region, please use Gulf Air if you don't have much money as their prices to Germany and France are quite cheap about 45% cheaper than Fly Emirates and KLM. When arriving at the airport, make the following handy: 1. Passport 2. Enrolment certificate 3. Required letter of presence (mine was never asked for) 4. Boarding pass slip 5. For Germany, Digital Entry Registration printout 6. Read about prohibited items in Schengen countries.
Thank you. @ MrAAA2 ... Congratulations !! Please I have few questions: 1. How did you block your German account from the Gulf (an explanation will help). 2. Did you show any further statement of account ? If required, Naija or other banks? And how much? 3. How long was the Visa process? Thanks |
