I built an ether channel and enabled IP-ROUTE , where my core and distribution layers are L3 switches. pls how do i make the ports of my core interfacing my distribution switches to be in passive mode . the idea is that i dont want my distribution layer to participate in my routing.

I think, if you are using PAGp set the interface to auto, if you using LACp set the interface to passive

1. What do I want?
2. Where do I see myself in few years to come?
3. How well do I comprehend?
4. Can i do what does it take to get to the top of these fields?
5. What training would I need ?
If you can answer these questions, your choice would be easy to make.
Just look at the career prospects and see what is enticing to you.
Last but not the least, go for the knowledge and not the certificate.

I have known since my undergraduate days that being an I.T certified individual boosts your chances of landing a good job after school and my experiences in the labour market justified that. Actually, I just had my CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) but someone more experienced is telling me to switch to the Microsoft path. does anyone in here have something to add which I can learn from here?

it depends on what path u wanna go, servers or networks...
Cisco has a wider range of opportunities than Microsoft, there are several paths in Cisco, and each path is essential (r&s, data center, security, collaboration, wireless, voice) but the opportunities are more abundant in professional and expert levels. Trust me Cisco is the real deal if you can get to expert certification, well paying international and domestic jobs await u. but Cisco is expensive and quite difficult, so plan before doing it. Microsoft certificates aren't as difficult as Cisco's, so every employer doesn't see that "uniqueness" with your Microsoft server certifications, might get you a job, but then you'd need to back up with more non-microsoft certifications to grow. both have jobs, but in the long run, Cisco pays you better(expert o!!!)...

There's no Georgian university of Canada, what I believe you are referring to is Georgian college, in Ontario. And what they have is a post graduate certificate in information network security systems. once completed, you are awarded an Ontario graduate certificate, and not an MSc.
for requirements, you just need a bsc in computer science, engineering or an IT related engineering field

And to those that got TRVs,did you all get the notifications,how many times and will also like to hear from those who got their TRV without the updates,thank you.

When you get a message from CIC saying you should login, it means a v.o is currently accessing your file, as to how many times u should get it before update, is not really important.
Those claims are unsubstantiated, it's just mere hearsay . Everyone who got approved online got that message, how many times does not determine when you get your TRV.

You don't need a new admission letter so long as you are applying for visa for the current admission session, I.e you didn't defer your program (e.g if you are going for fall and have an admission letter for fall, you won't need a new admission letter, but if you are going for winter, you will need a new one)

I completed an engineering masters degree program in the uk back in 2013 and wants to diversify my career opportunities in my current work place by taking up a PGD program in international business management to boost my chances of one day hoding a management role within the organisation.
1) Having lived in the UK from 2012-2014 and currently here in Nigeria, is it mandatory that I also obtain and submit a UK police certificate along side my TRV application having already secure the Nigerian police certificate.
2) I work in Lagos but will be in Abuja for a 1 week conference come next week when I intend to submit my application hence I wish to know if I can also submit my application there in Abuja without raising any red flag given that my address says lagos and there is a submission centre in lagos too.

1. No you don't need the UK police clearance, since your country of residence at the moment is Nigeria
2. You can submit anywhere, so long as it's in Nigeria.
But to chip in a few words, hope your SOP explains why you are doing a PGD after an M.SC, because right now that's the big red flag in your app.

If you have your complete documents, apply, processing time is 14weeks(average). It's not late yet

I got a mail last week tuesday instructing me to go ahead and do medical exam. One of the instruction says I have to complete the test before the expiration of 14 days. I only have the opportunity to do it tommorrow.

I called consutant practice to know the number of days it will take before the result can be sent, thry said 6 working days. IOM said two working days. This shows the mrdical exam result will not get to the embassy before the end of the 14 days

Considering price, medical test in IOM costs 33k while it is only 28k in consultznt practice. Hence, I prefer Consultant practice because of the price, but ...

Do I need to bother about the number of days it will take them before sending the results? Or I should go ahead and do it in any of the two hospitals.

IOM sends almost immediately the result comes out, this I'm sure. Consultant practice doesn't, and bear in mind, God forbid, you require further tests, Consultant practice may be a little bit slow.
So if speed of delivery is your concern, and you do not want to "experiment" the validity of the 14days, go to IOM. This only represents my own opinion.
