And I can understand the daftness of people who are unhappy that Sanusi sacked some bank MDs. Yeah, you hate it when mighty fall abi. Ok, good feeling. You have a benevolent heart, good psychology. Go to the bush and hide yourself. You hear of people in asian world who commit suicide because of paltry sum they collected as 'gift' for something 'nice' they did one time for somebody which the state now saw as BRIBE. In the US and europe, you have to cover your ass very well else you get to fake plane crashes or something like that in a bid to make off like madoff. What I am trying to say is that banking is not child's play it is closer to the govt than any other business. Why because it effects the economy. Have you not heard that no matter what Sanusi reduces MPR (reference for banks to follow in marking their loan to people, real sector included) so as to encourage banks lending to real sector at lower rates, the banks still refuse. And the poor investors or investors wanna bes run away from such potentially crippling interest rates. Collect a loan from a bank @ 18% and service it for one year and ask them how much you need to pay off the loan so that you will understand. Banking is very important and effects the economy. So no sane govt leaves it totally to psychiagtric patients or unidentified, pathologically green monsters. I would not like to mention what some of those bank MDs did. It will take another topic and a lot of copy and paste (who would type it, me?). If you do not know by now, actually, you don't have any business on this forum. You are probably one of those people that gather around in the morning massaging each other's ego critisizing the country and its leaders. OK, lets cut it short. Those MDs actually had to go and more (prison maybe). Please do not be surety for a stranger as the bible said. What do you even know happened in those Banks. Banks where even some staff that knew what was going on would tell you it was good to remove the corrupt and inept MDs. Haven't you heard a story from one of them. That big house in Dubai, SA, UK, Abuja may have been paid for with your money. Ok, maybe a chip of the block that made up the building. Yeah u know they put everybody's naira together to do these things. fake loans, x10 renting etc. You never felt it because the CBN created money and gave the bank's to give you back. We're so daft in Nigeria that even when someone fights our enemy for us, he/she has to take us through the kindergarten, primary, secondary impossibly , tertiary eduacation of what is happening. Ok, if we cannot understand, lets leave it for our unborn children. The will either curse us or suffer or both like Haitians who remain in poverty because because their ancestors were sending ship loads of gold (bought from their hard work) to france for centuries. I go for making babies now. Bye. |
Please lets understand one thing. Creation of wealth is putting your money in the real sector. Like setting up a barbing salon, building a hospital, school, making slippers, building road. If not for the future money to be made but for even the immediate salary that you will pay the workers that will build and manage the business you are setting up. You know how many families are fed with salary from road construction, advert agencies, web development, hospitals, name them. FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, winning a contract is not creation of wealth but implementing the contract is creation of wealth. So if you buy stocks @ 10 Naira or 40 Naira in the secondary market, how many people have you employed, how many families have you fed. None. Because you just bought the 50k ordinary shares or whatever they call it of the company. But when you buy @ the primary market, especially when it is oversubscribed, some people might still tell u that you have not created any wealth. I wouldn't like to go into that. Buying from the secondary market means buying the same stock which has the same price (50k or 1 Naira as the case may be) in the eyes of NSE at an agreed price between you and the seller, irrespective of how much the seller bought it. Do I really need to go on to make the two arguers understand? Please understand the man. What he meant is that Nigerian's are shy from investing in the real sector where lives (including theirs can be touched). You need to understand how many people Dangote and the likes are feeding to comprehend that merely buying stocks does not really touch lives as much as investing in making 'dunlop slippers'. Buying stocks is more or less intelligent gambling but it is very good for us to buy stocks so as to maintain the value of our companies in the eyes of people any way since a company making lots and lots of profit does not really care how much their stock is valued so far as they bought 50% of it to protect them from being swallowed from behind by a warren buffet or 'no nigerian counterpart yet' . Really guys, shut up and go and make some pure water, raise pigs or something like that. |
Nobody saw the death of Yar'Dua. If they did would they have chosen a northerner as his vice. I think it is high time another party won the presidential election. if not for anything but to stick the regional rotation of who will be president, vice, speaker etc up the royal PDP ass. This rotation and quota system and federal character (to some extent). is messing up our growth. Why don't they rotate who will fly their plane whenever they are flying. Why don't they rotate their personal physicians. Why don't they rotate their personal guards? Because these and other positions are crucial to them, they do not want to tamper with them. But they will play the rotary stuff with presidency. Abeg make una no dey take Nigerian presidency, speakers of the house etc serious o! The positions are not as serious as ordinary taxi drivers on the lagos road. I have one trusted taxi driver and I wouldn't rotate him for anything. I mean the mas sef no be okoso. |
IBB is just a confused idiot who believes that because idiots called him a genius then he is a genius. He was called a genius by mediocres who were only after recognition, money and power. On hi being called a Maradona, you need to understand what the name Maradona signifies. First go to Buenos Aires and verbally doubt the ability of the real Maradona to coach his country, they'll deal with you, there and then. Why because they love him. Not just because he played well for them in his hey days, but because he loved them so much he'd cry like a baby whnever they are losing an international match. So what, anybody can cry? Well the real Maradona loved his country so much that in Mexico '86 at a crucial match between Argentina and England (Argentine enemy), the guy was so desirous of putting his country one up against her enemy that he had to score with the famous "Hand of God". Do you even know why he called it the Hand of God? Retribution. You would have said he used a crooked means to push his country forward but just sometime later in the same match he breezed past 6 english players (which of course is more than half of the English side) to score a winning goal. FIFA was proud, English men were awed, the world was numb. Short Maradona was waving his shirt in the air like a child. One up on the enemy for my motherland Argentina. Does IBB love motherland like that. That said, may the pen or mouth or whatever means anybody uses to called Babangida a Maradona break into pieces. Evil genuis? My foot. Anybody is a genuis who can employ a GETAPO like arrangement of idiots who snoop for information while others are working for a daily bread. I have read about some public utterances of IBB and I must say they are not tactical indeed. e.g. that people should prove he was corrupt during his tenure. Thats bullshit. If you cover your ass enough, which in Nigeria is not hard, it will be hard to prove. I mean what can you prove in Nigeria when people cannot even prove that one's driving was right or wrong talkless of clandestine and corrupt actions that were meditated upon on a sleeping country even before the action was executed. Damn it if I had the same opportunity as the guy, I would have done better. We are the new children of Nigeria and our voice is coming from a distance, like a trailer load of gravel. IBB get off the road! |
abeg, what of @wazobia-ng |
OK, my children. I will scatter my thinking upon you now whether you like it or not. Get your umbrellas all you that believe that being fat and acting the part of secondary school children is OK. All these orobo's are robbing young and up coming girls an opportunity to cut their teeth on the acting arena. I don't have a quarrel with somebody being big, fat, oboish, whatever, but we should remember that we just picked the camera and the stage is still new to us. Oyibo flew into the jet age acting. They know the terrain of acting. My belief is, if you are old and fat, act the part of old and fat not the part of sweet sixteens. I love orobo's anyway, but man, not on my wide screen and acting the part of a 20 year old who we know so well what they look like. It makes the whole story so unreal. Even if they deny the truth, they should wait time, which has been around before all of us were born, will prove them wrong and the people that once yearned for the wave them aside in disgust. Orobo's should act the part of _THICK_ madams. Period. |
abeg one more for the masses! GLO HUAWEI MODE: E160G IMEI: 359390029766336 Thanks in advance. |
My dear, you see I have heard a lot of argument about programming languages that it bores me and I feel like farting in response. For this one, I must say something. If you feel programming is stressful, then forget it. Else, there's no difference in programming languages. I've seen secure applications written on so called insecure languages, and beautiful applications springing from the least expected languages. I could only wonder. Ego. When a man talks about programming, it always has a shade of ego, not excluding yours truly. But yet, it should be noted that at a particular programming age, if you cannot pick up a new language and start programming in it within 24 hours, you never actually made it as a programmer. What am saying, its not the language, its the understanding of software development. Whatever you are learning, learn the standards, read rfcs where necessary. And finally, if you learn a language for money I will not blame you, life is hard. But eventually, you will find that like women, you should date quite a number to really understand one. But then like women you learn one at a time. Do not be greedy and try to learn another when you cannot yet solve a real world problem with the previous. My advice, love programming, not the language. Period! Au revoir. |
The future of a banker? Well, I used to work for Zenith Bank then. On the bus from Gbagada to Ajose Adeogun, right in VI, I will see some oyibo's jogging. Yes jogging for life. Meanwhile I've been robbed of sleep which I slug out with the uncomfortable condition and knowledge that am not going to sleep. I don't even think of the immediate discomfort then. I think of sudden heart attack at the age of 50. Haba! Bank job? In fact all bank M.D.s' should do the retailing, marketing etc themselves. I wanna live a good life like the oyibo's. Period! |
I type in a lot of stuff and lost it when the browser back button went. But the summary of what I wanted to say is that they guy himself just said all this. And we have not heard from the girl. Marriage is a complex issue. Thats why some people refuse to wade into other people's marriage issue. A man is created to be able to live with any man and vice versa. About looking before you jump into marriage. Its true but I hope you know that some people have lost out simply by looking too deep. And I have seen men that married "prostitutes" and living happily. Not prostitutes as in hear say but as in they were in the know when the lady was plying her wares. By the way lest I digress. The girl may have cheated before marriage (hence the baby termination) but has not opened it (that thing between her legs) to any man since she became married. It will become rather complicated if the guy now cheats on her after marriage (very possible, I tell you) because of what is happening. He might actually be drowning his sorrows on top of another woman as we discuss. I cannot blame the guy for marrying someone he cannot cope with. I blame his parents and siblings for making him 1.) incapable of knowing when its above his tolerance level or 2.) a sissy My advice is that the girl might be a sheep in wolf skin (the are like that nowadays). If he should divorce her and marry another woman as someone I know has, he may find out that the first wife was better. Or not. If life with the first wife was better with all the so called biting, stabbing (sissy!), and not greeting his father (Yar Ardua or man with blemish?) what then will he say or do. My gut feeling is that this is a girl that lived a bad life before marriage and is trying to live a better life (albeit immaturely pursuing the objective) and the guy 1. is not giving her enough sex (since she has run short of steady supply) 2. is not coming fort with the money he has implied he had (its surprising how guys can give impression of having dough just to score and then when they want to marry they forget to lay their financial cards on the table so as to not leave room for any financial misunderstanding) 3. 's parents have been stressing her and she's replying faithfully 4. does not love her again. u know as they say, love conquers all. Banza! She is your wife. Analyze her. In marriage, if you fail to analyze before you jump in, you are in an even better position to analyze after. Get in her shoes. Maybe for example she's feeling crowded because of you and you family looking sideways when she steps in. Keep your family away. And please note that if you did not disvirgin a girl yourself it makes no sense saying she might be promiscous. Even the ones you disvirgined yourself might one day feel a better "leather". As far as am concerned the lady is in panic mode hence the nake curse. Her back was against the wall and she did what she heard years ago always works. The bullshit doesn't work except you deserve it and/or were warned. The way I see it the guy coming up with flimsy reasons for divorce. He might deserve it. So guy, if you want to walk away, walk away peacefully and don't throw mud at my sister (even though I do not know her) because bricks might be coming your way spiritually, literally, likewise or otherwise. |
