LiteratureRe: Lagos And Abuja: A Tale Of Two Cities. by wazobiang: 10:27am On Oct 06, 2010
there are many guys that hit abuja running and they made it fast, legit. most of those guys are in that same fcda or work with the fcda people you complain about. wait till people you know buy big cars and live in big houses in town. you na real olodo o!

how could you have lived in lagos all your life and you don't know that once people are living the good life in a town, it doesn't matter whether majority are suffering, it means there's hope. people are living good life in abuja. heck! some rent a house a walking distance from their place of walk and they drive to work within two minutes.

guy, you are missing lagos. people in abuja (wuse, garki, apo and the like within abuja town) consider lugbe and kubwa to be as far away, if not futher than lagos. why? because, they travel to lagos ever so often, some of them have never been to lugbe or kubwa nor do they hope to ever go there.

maami, people have made it in abuja. i get stories, don't kid yourself. you should know better, you are from lagos. i hope you are not igbo because an average igbo man will know that, "nna men, so far as na human beings dey live for those big big houses, dey drive big big cars, living in peace, i go make am here".

about they bomb blast. of course you know nothing lasts. bad things happen everywhere.

that doesn't say you cannot make it in lagos. in fact lagos has more opportunities than abuja. but in a zillion years, lagos will not fetch you the peace or tranquillity that abuja (town shaa o!) offers. forget that, na atlantic ocean fashola wan push all the agberos go.

take it from someone who knows the nooks and crannies of both towns. yeah! been there, done that. came, saw and conquered.
PoliticsRe: Is Aba A Reflection Of What Biafra Would Have Been? by wazobiang: 4:29pm On Oct 01, 2010
@poster is expectedly dumb as any nigerian on the side of the nigerians drawing us back can be. the problem is that we cannot ignore such people because they are part of us and they try to portray others as evil while they are good and others point at them who point at some others and its a crowd of pots calling kettles black.

even in physics, where things are even predictable, you cannot say what something could have been. to ask if Biafra would have been like Aba is wicked. Simply put.

But you know what? People like you don't go far. Keep eating shit!
RomanceRe: Should I Tell Him The Dirty Secrets About His Fiancee. Urgent by wazobiang: 11:12am On Sep 03, 2010
i decided i wont reply often on nairaland and this is an exception. if you know love, love for a fellow human being, a friend, you would know that at least it is important that they know who they are getting married to. if you know us (human beings) you would know that we pretend a lot. someone on this list said that he didn't spill the beans in his own case and the couple is getting on well with their life. how dumb. couples in marrital trouble pretend everything is okay until they cannot take it any longer.

how could you have a video like that and you are still hesistating. don't you see the evil in the lady? i am sure they guy has told him about the few escapades he has had and she's telling him she's a virgin. come on, that's one up on your guy's backside.

if you do not know what to do just send your guy the email with the video attached AND MAKE SURE HE WATCHED IT. you can use another email address and ask him to reply when he has watched it. that you will assume he has not watched it until he sends you a reply about it. or tell him you have more which you will send after he has watched and confirmed to you what he saw.

nigerians we are so wicked. that is why the wicked find our land fertile. abroad hookers are not ashamed to be hookers. they have social security numbers and are entitled to the same welfare and care as any other citizen and they are not afraid to tell you that they are really really BAD and they attract the kind of people that they can live with. who even cherish them. Porn stars are married for example. Hookers live in an apartment just like u in other countries.

but in naija, somebody will live a sordid life and will pretend her way into the arms of a hard working man only to mess it up and both of them will continue to live a fake life. faking that everything is fine.

meanwhile the guy is so latently mad that he starts chasing every thing that has a hole in between to the chagrin (abeg jare) of the wife who has done her own chasing earlier in life.

tupac would have said "thats the way it is"

BusinessRe: Are There Venture-Capitalists In Nigeria? by wazobiang: 9:48am On Jun 23, 2010
go fry dodo. u wan free money for naija. u neva serious. who know u and who u know. no be nairaland u go find them.
from experience i dey tell u.

work within your means and when you meet any so called venture capitalist don't even divulge any serious information to them. he! even the main idea/the big picture alone is enough for them to steal the job from you. if it work's out, watch your back and prepare a good mou because you might be killed for your share.

TravelRe: Nigeria Embassy London Worst Mgmt Thread - Outdated! by wazobiang: 9:21am On Jun 23, 2010
why do people expect getting access to nigerian embassy to be a breeze when they do not have a nigerian passport. i for one know that it takes three months to book for a us embassy appointment for visa in the us embassy just for visa. my former girlfriend who was a british born can also tell you that you cannot get a british passport just like that.

please you people should stop talking nonsense. you cannot just enter a country's embassy to request for a passport and get it at the snap of a finger except you are immidiately related to fela, gowon, obasanjo and all the people like that who are already clealy known to be nigerians.

PoliticsRe: So So Sad ! Yar'adua's Death Paved Way For This N10 Billion Madness ! by wazobiang: 9:45am On Jun 18, 2010
please check your facts well. if you know how govt works you will know that such budgets could hardly have bee approved recently. it most likely was approved by yar'dua administration. but i am sure the man never knew about it or was fooled into aproving it. That is if it stands fully approved and the funds have been released for disbursement.

govt doesn't work like your pocket. there are processes. i believe the time jonathan came is was too short for that approval.

haba! are you saying that we started preparing for our 50th anniversary just a few months to the even? comon, that budget was approved by yar'dua administration. period.

Back yesterday before the match we were analyzing that we can beat greece and korea then qualify and i told my friends that greece will also be hoping to beat nigeria and argentina to qualify. we think only of ourselves we don't imagine what the other people are thinking. what a foolish analysis.

but even if we qualify, what will it mean. those bunch of losers, bar enyeama, do not deserve to be in the WC second round.

We have wasted a billion plus naira taking our arse to SA only for this shame.

SHAME ON YOU @POSTER
SportsRe: Red Card: Was Sani Kaita's Lunacy Chemically Induced? by wazobiang: 6:57pm On Jun 17, 2010
chidichris:
this dying country has now gotten a reason to die as quick as possible.
kaita only acted as a catalyst.
we are destined to die so what kaita did was to hasten our death.
why waiting when u know that u will die.
on the other hand, what will it look like if the three(3) major ethnic groups in nigeria go their seperate ways?
i think my side will do well especially in football.
we will not throw bomb and we will not kick other players and by so doing, we will earn international respect for ourselves and we have oil too.
old men from my side do not still and do not go to jail with white hair.
pls, jonathan, this is the time and the best time to divide this nonsense non-entity.
everything about this country is rubbish.
kaita has introduced another sense of destruction into our football lives. who is sure this is not his own way of protesting the pdp zoning cancellation that is about denying his ppl presidency come 2011.
do we still have another aboki in the team? if yes, i expect an own goal in the next match.
i pray that come next world cup, biafra will go there as a different country.

CareerRe: Would You Rather "work For Somebody" Or "work With Somebody" by wazobiang: 1:40pm On Jun 17, 2010
Bros that question is out of context for people you are interviewing. They are coming for an employed job and you ask them if they prefer to be employed or not. What do you expect? they will say they don't want to be employed? so that you will show them the exit door? You will not get an honest answer from desperate people. Are your people even trained in body language or are you depending on the street smartness of your colleagues to guide you on the answers you get from these people. Abeg, try and ask relevant questions. Know what you are doing if you deviate from relevant questions. Don't waste their time, they got more job applications to write.

For your information people that are seen as proud sometimes may be people who are sure of themselves and their capabilities. Confident people. Any confident person will want to be self employed. They may or may not tell you that if you ask them that question in an interview. Their answer will depend on their character make up and factors like deceptive abilities, openness, desire for that job etc.

Don't let your company be so proud (funny enough) to ask job interview questions that are out of context and see people that want to be FREE as proud as a result.

You need proud people who are confident of themselves.

In fact let me tell you, everybody wants to be something even bigger than self employed. Everybody wants somebody else to their work for them. Don't you think so. Those that told you they prefer to be employed are liars. Don't take them. Remember that.
