plaetton: The consistency of tales from all ancient cultures leads me to conclude that the ancients encountered non-terrestial beings whose presence were much more active in those days. Undoubtedly. But reality suggests that the encounters may have been hallucinations. |

Catholics are very ho)rny people in general. I wonder if it has something to do with staring at the face of a beautiful woman all day and night.
That is the wrong way to treat the mother of God, pretending to adore her while subliminally generating a woody with her beauty. |

plaetton: Actually sir There are plenty of ET tales from Africa. The Dog on tribe talk of children of stars who taught them the charts of the stars. For a primitive tribe, they show a sophisticated knowledge of astronomy.
The absence of a written language, no doubts, prevented the transmission of much ancient E T stories from all over Africa. They too were geeking. Hahaha. "Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behaviour and information processing. They open you up to the possibility that everything you know is wrong." Terence McKenna |

plaetton: My dear friend, you would be surprised to know that nearly all of Earth's religion were founded and constructed on the aftermaths of Alien encounters. Example, from a modern mind's perspective, what does the term " fallen Angel's " connote? How about " boat of heaven" or Chariots of fire in the sky, or " pillars of smoke by day and pillars of fire by night ( does a rocketship come to mind) ?
The bible says that " the Kabod (mistranslated as the glory of the lord) of the lord descended on the mountain " with billows of smoke, and that the earth quaked. Now, just imagine the gradual descent of rocketship with smokes coming out of the exhaust and the noise of a rocket engine.
There is no doubt in my mind that the ancients wqere simply chronicling their encounters with technologically advanced Extra-terrestial beings. There were many of them , and many encounters: Encounters that formed the basis of the worship of the different gods of ancient Egypt, Canaan and Babylon.
There is also no doubts that a modern ET disclosure of contact would collapse the current religions, and maybe form new ones. That would depend on how the ETs view us and our progress over the past 4000yrs.
If they give us a pass mark, they might help elevate us to higher realms of thinking. But if they, like the insecure ET/god of genesis, is threatened by human progress, then they just might blows us back into the stone age, and then it's Deja Vu all over again. Which one is closer to the truth, in your opinion: that the writers of the bible encountered real and actual aliens, or that they were under the influence of entheogens? |

zenith4biz: [color=green]These verses teach specifically that Elijah was taken up into heaven. Again, this might be a different heaven. Others have written and questioned how these men could be in heaven before the shedding ofthe blood of Christ. Yet, I might add that Satan has access to heaven--at least some part of it (Job 1:6). Perhaps these men did not yet have full access to the glories of heaven or were not able to enterthe throne room. Obviously, I am not certain here. Satan has access to heaven too? Hahaha. Chai, dis man too strong. |

You have to induce yourself to experience fairies Bros - you can call it any name you want.
.
You sound ignorant - http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/01/22/the-strange-science-behind-virgin-births.html
Try this, take a large dose of your entheogens; ask one of the fairies you meet to take you back 2000 years and consult Joseph on it. If that doesn't work - do some historical research and stop displaying your ignorance on historical matters on a public forum Why are you showing me that link? Hahaha. Did you even read it? The article is making fun of virgin births, not supporting the idea. Your biblical authors were under the influence of entheogens, just like the modern herbalists, shamans, and native doctors. Their personal hallucinations have nothing to do with me. I share mine for the purpose of generating amusement and general insight. They obviously consumed a lot more mushrooms than I did, because what they saw were bigger than fairies. Imagine being so HIGH to the point where you can see angels at the four corners of the earth holding wine glasses. I envy them, but for different reasons. |

Missonas: When you say designed you make it sound like God made us without a mind of our own. That is NOT what I'm saying. I'm saying that he is the designer of our MINDS. Where did our minds come from if it wasn't also designed like the rest of everything? He's an omniscient MIND designer. My decision to be an atheist is, by principle, a product of my designed mind. annoymous: The nairaland thing, while I don't agree with it, is just a measure, albeit extreme, to get people to act with decorum when it comes to commenting on religious issues concerning Muslims. For example, I start a thread on maybe hijab or something now and then atheists and Christians storm the thread and start blaspheming, not only making a nuisance but also derailing the thread.
We can both agree that Book haram are misguided Muslims. If you think they are acting on the Qur'an or the instructions of the Prophet, then I cannot help you. I am embarrassed by the fact that they do what they do in the name of Islam which doesn't sanction any of the evil atrocities they commit.
Christians are known more for that than Muslims. Fellowships in universities in Nigeria are notorious for luring people to their gatherings with various incentives esp financial /material so that really is not a Muslim thing.
To be a Muslim is not difficult though. You just have to believe that God is one and that the Prophet is His Messenger and act on that. Have you ever read the Qur'an? You will be surprised that it's different from all the hate that it is being portrayed to be in the media. Muslims at least ACT like there is a God, unlike Christians in general. How can you know that an omniscient and omnipotent God exists, and yet subject yourself to secular laws, courts, and jurisdictions, even those that explicitly contravene the laws of the God? It doesn't make sense. |
