My opinion once consciouness is generated by the brain, during the 5th month of pregnancy, then quantum mechanical properties of the brain kick in to elevate consciouness into a whole new realm, where, at times it seems independent, capable of operating beyond its locality.

The anecdotes in Deepsight's video link do not show proof positive what consciouness is, from whence it comes, or precise ways that it operates.

Scientists know that the pineal gland develops at roughly a month and a half following conception, and I believe that is precisely the moment when a fetus becomes a quantum observer in some unknown reality. What they don't know, or are hesitant to admit, is the exact connection between this collection of cells and awareness. The article below, for example, assumes that awareness is the product of a marginally developed neural network, and that the actions of hormones on this network of cells produce what we consider conscious reality.

If we examine the process of death from a common sense perspective, every dead person has a moment, immediately preceding the creation of new diamonds, or worm food (depending on your level of cynicism), when they are NOT YET dead. In that very moment, the brain is dead, everything is dead, but the pineal gland, and the rest of these areas may have released their products into the blood for the last time. From everyday observation, dreams only turn off or go off when when there is some motor activity, muscles to open the eyelids for example. Dead people have none of these things. You could slap them and they would remain in that dream.

Maybe it is possible for a dream to get shut off without moving your eyelids, but I doubt it. Dead people have complete ataxia, and at such their eyelids won't move, even if their eyes are wide open.

I don't think his belated remorse has that power to overwrite his action because he already had knowledge of the truth before committing the act. He already knew the Word of God concerning that act. He already knew the consequences but he willfully did it. This is too easy . People have different names for a supreme being / creator and try to communicate or relate with this supreme being through different methods . 3. Some regions/people/communities have religions which are actually the worship of heroes or great men or women who helped them in the past in wars . These great people in their tribe were immortalized through some kind of spiritual ritual or something like that and then prayed to for them to keep the people/community/region safe and protected . As he's an atheist , if he has problems with people preaching in buses etc , does he have problems with people who sell wares - like drugs , pain killers - political campaigns etc in those areas the same way ? 2. The fact that religions believe in a supreme being is irrelevant. What's more important is that YOU don't believe in those other supreme beings, which brings us back to the idea of DISBELIEF.
