That Ghanaian army had absolutely squat on the readiness of the Nigerian army and the overwhelming number of soldiers as well as the funding for the project, were provided by Nigeria. This is not propaganda, or a display of nationalism. It is the truth.

Nigeria has sent soldiers to foreign African countries in the past. The ECOWAS military delegations to Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Ivory Coast were almost exclusively Nigerian. To say that the Nigerian presence in these countries saved lives is an understatement.

However, Botswana is not in west Africa, and so I suspect some ulterior motives behind this suggestion of theirs.
