greetings. Presently I just collected one police character cert for a friend in Calgary. He did his finger prints in Calgary and scanned to them in Alagbon to generate. No matter where you are in the world as long as you need police character cert it will always be from Alagbon ikoyi.

Sometimes, insufficient funds could mean many things.

1. No sufficient proof of relationship to sponsor.

2. Lump sum deposit without proof/ explanation of source.
3. Low probablity of funding subsequent year of study.

4. Lack of proof of sponsor's source of income.
Who is your sponsor, they may be circumstances surrounding his or her financial capabilities which you didn't take not of. These refusal reasons are the easiest to tackle. Before you reapply, i strongly suggest you order for your Immigration file(GCMS). A very ridiculous reason could have led to this outcome. So get it.........#copied#.

No. You can do it yourself just that the problem is from you. Either you have forgotten some information you submitted and entered. Please if you have a copy of the IMM 1249 form you submitted go through it again and be sure what you filled b4 is in line withwhat you are filling to link online.

Well, i got medical mail this morning!. Its only God and Our Mother of Perpetual Help I can thank for this update.. I hope, pray and believe that this is a sign of God's favour and ultimately positive outcome.

However, on a more serious note. I think people should do themselves a service by first seeking answers to their questions first on google and similar search engines. After which, they can bring these answers for further deliberation and suggestions.

It will be kind of awkward if we start responding to individual questions that have readily available answers on google and other similar search engines.

If you are interested in a programme and require information about that programme, try using google. Narrow your search words and answers will pop up. Now, if this answers confuse you or you need a second opinion, you can table your search results here and we all can deliberate and help you with suggestions.

About reading previous parts/threads. It is totally doable. It all depends on what you want and how far you are willing to go to get what you want. Nobody is busy, it just depends on your priorities. If going to Canada to study is important to you, you will definitely allocate a large chunk of your time to ensure you get there.

Senior Mazi.I believe you die. Honestly speaking to everyone who are new here endeavour to read up. Everybody is busy yes!!! When I first came here I was referred and advised by a friend in Halifax to read up from part 1.....mehn I got tired and feed up that I will move from part 3 to part 7 and be moving around until my friend prompted me to calm down and read from beginning. I knew what I wanted and I started reading from the beginning. Mind you I also go to work everyday am a teacher and I still create time to read. When I finished reading from part 1 to 9 I had already gathered all my documents for submission I only came back to ask @MichV, Yemdogg and my friend in dalhousie to vet my SOP. It ended well that within less than 5weeks I got my TRV. Imagine since March 8th that I got my trv I still read and follow this thread everyday till date. Why? Because I cultivated the habit back then to read from the beginning and now am use to it that I can't go to sleep one day without coming in to read. Again I don't answer to some questions when I know the said moniker that posted the question should have read some parts and gotten answers from there. If you quote me I will answer. And again nice job to @Cscd1234 for encouraging people to read from beginning but sometimes you don't have to reply everything you see here when you know you can't refer them. If you know where exactly the answers are in any part please kindly refer newbies there. Its not easy to read from beginning anyways but everyone can create time. I rest my case. Happy New Month.

If you applied online then yhu have to upload the additional document on ur cic account. Means yhu will have to merge them for uploading as a single file.

Hence
If offline and yu didnt link online.
You need not merge. Yhu will just take advantage of attachment property in the mail section.
Add every document u want to revert with. No need to merge.

in addition to what he said. You should submit all original letters addressed to the embassy and your Letter of admission should be original also.

In addition, when your family member or your friend are applying for their Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) they must satisfy the visa officer that they will leave Canada after their visit by providing proof of strong economic and social ties to their home country. 

Examples of economic ties can include: a letter of employment, a proof property or business ownership, bank statements, financial investments, etc.

Examples of social ties can include: family members left behind who depend on them for financial and other support, proof that they must return home to meet their social obligations to their community and family, etc.

My problem with this Canadian thread is that, after people are helped and eventually across over to Canada, the become too busy or less interested in the thread.

The mostly won't come back to share their knowledge, and experience.

This is not good, some even deactivate their account after benefiting from the goodwill of numerous Nairalanders.
Some of us that manage to stick around gets discouraged.

I know difference in time zones affects our effective Communication with Nairalanders in Nigeria, but at least we should make out time to come back to threads like this and help as much as possible.

Wealth baba, let's discuss "hometie". If this trend of refusals due to ties to home country is anything to go by,
It's however pertinent on us to prepare a very sound application that present a very convincing and acceptable home ties clearly stated in our letters of explanation or statements or purpose.

I see a lot of people present land documents belonging to their parents. I really don't know the rationale behind this act but I think it's best if we declare our personal assets since it's a work visa and we are expected to have achieved some little things before getting married

Also, we should endeavour to link our siblings/aged parents that we know we are responsible for as our ties to home country.

Alternatively, I think if we can get a prospective employer to write us a letter that upon return, we would be employed as we would have garnered international experience and it would add value to their organization. I believe this should go a long way in convincing the VOs that we have every reason to return since it's a trv.

CAVEAT: Those points above are outrightly my opinion and are subject to criticism. I'm still a learner.

nice one Markab. Well in my own opinion it not all the various spouses works in an organization. What if they have their own businesses here in Nigeria? I think that will also serve as home tie becos you are coming back for your businesses and for those who are concerned you will need to proof that there is some1 available to manage the business while you are away. Most organizations are not happy you are going and leaving them so sometimes it very hard to get an introduction letter from them stating your job is waiting for you. The best in situation like that is to show you had a job at that time and also including all documents that shows you work there over the years you claim you have worked. Another home tie is the spouse immediate families. Including documents to show relationship that you have your family and your spouse familiy too. Hope I make sense small?

yes you will be corrected. If you the paper route you will be required to submit your passport with your application. That's the norms for paper route.
