Trump recently placed a 15% tariff on Nigeria and the country responded by banning the importation of 25 certain items from the country. The Tinubu administration has also been working on increasing local refining of petroleum products. Recently, a 15% tax on PMS importation was introduced to further discourage importation of petroleum products. This has seriously affected European and American refineries which are owned by Trump and his big oil buddies. They are not happy that Nigeria is prioritizing energy independence at the detriment of American and European oil companies.
Again, Nigeria’s recent romance with BRICS is unsettling the Trump administration. The BRICS countries are planning to issue a new currency so as to sidestep the US dollars and Nigeria has signed up to be a part of the BRICS monetary union. Trump had vowed to make sure this does not happen. The Yuan - Naira currency swap between China and Nigeria that has recently helped to strengthen the Naira is also another source of concern to the US.
So, a combination of all these issues plus Nigeria’s stance against the GAZA genocide is why Donald Trump is targeting the Nigeria government. If they can’t control Nigeria, they will do everything possible to destroy the country.

Alusiizizi: Sauteed mushrooms: Frying pan 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Chopped garlic Chopped habernero pepper 3 tablespoons of peak milk(concentrated) 1 teaspoon of salt 2 cups of mushrooms 1/4 cup of water
Put olive oil in frying pan and cook until oil starts popping, put everything else. Cover the frying pan. Cook until the water reduces, open the frying pan, then continue cooking until the mushrooms start browning. Remove from fire. Set aside.
Meats: 3 Kg of beef.(Chopped finely) 2 tin cans of peak milk(condensed). 3 tablespoons of salt Chopped garlic Ground habenero pepper. One cup of lemon juice(lime juice can be used here in place of lemon juice)
Mix the milk, salt, garlic, pepper and lemon/lime juice in a bowl. Into the bowl is put the chopped beef. Cover and leave to marinade for at least 5 hours(but not more than 24 hours).
Remove the meat and put in plastic bags and tie up to prevent water from entering. Do not throw away the marinade, as it will be used in the next step. Then you will put those plastic bags in a pot of water and boil for 30 minutes. During this time, prepare frying pan and grease with some olive oil. Remove the meats and put them in the frying pans, making sure to empty the contents of those plastic bags into the frying pans. Cover the frying pan and cook the meats in there until the juices reduce. At this point, open the frying pan, the fat from the meat would have either rendered or broken down, and it is this fat-oil that the meat will be fried in. Keep stirring until some nice crusts are formed on the meat.
Sauce: 1 can Tomato paste 1 can Tomato puree 6 fresh, fully ripe tomatoes 1 clove of chopped garlic 1/2 cup of crushed ginger 1/ cup of vinegar 1 cup of olive oil 1/2 cup of basil leaves 1/2 cup of rosemary Marinade from the previous step. 1 cup of water.
Into a frying pan put 2 tablespoons of olive oil, then put the garlic and ginger and just enough water to wet the bottom of the pan. Cook until the water is gone at which point you stir until the combination is roasted, Now put a little tomato puree into the pan and cook, this way you can easily scrape the entire content of the frying pan into a large pot.
Now, put everything listed above into the large pot and cook on low heat for about 20 minutes. Open the pot, put the mushrooms and meats that were prepared in previous steps into the pot, cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours. After this period, open the pot, increase to high heat and cook until the sauce has reduced.

DyshApp: Popular Nigerian health influencer, Dr Chinonso Egemba, known widely as Aproko Doctor, has issued a strong warning over a growing scam preying on desperate women seeking pregnancy solutions.
In a post on his official X account, he cautioned that fraudsters trick women by claiming pregnancies cannot always be detected on ultrasound scans.
“If there’s a pregnancy, it would be seen by ultrasound scans,” he wrote, describing how women are then pumped with drugs to mimic pregnancy symptoms before being handed trafficked babies.
He described the scheme as a “criminal racket” that exploits women emotionally and financially.
The warning resurfaced shortly after actress and former Big Brother Naija star, Bambam, shared a testimony online, claiming a woman in her church carried a pregnancy for more than three years before delivering. Bambam called it a miracle, but medical experts have dismissed such claims as misleading.
Dr Olusina Ajidahun, co-founder of Priv Health and a member of the World Health Organisation, echoed Aproko Doctor’s concerns. He reposted a 2023 thread where he described “cryptic pregnancy” as one of the biggest frauds in the health sector, alleging that victims were charged millions for fake treatments.
“These women are injected with hormones that mimic pregnancy, shown fake scans, and told not to seek second opinions,” he wrote. On delivery day, according to him, sedated women are given babies they never carried.

DyshApp: Swiss food giant Nestlé has sacked its Chief Executive Officer, Laurent Freixe, with immediate effect after it was revealed that he had an undisclosed romantic relationship with a direct subordinate.
In a statement, the company said the move was necessary to protect its values and governance standards.
Freixe, who joined Nestlé in France back in 1986, only became CEO in September 2024. Before then, he had served as head of Nestlé’s operations in Europe and Latin America.
Following his dismissal, Nestlé’s board has appointed Philipp Navratil, the current CEO of Nespresso, as the new Chief Executive. Navratil joined Nestlé in 2001 and has held several leadership roles, including overseeing global strategy and innovation for Nescafé and Starbucks brands before taking charge of Nespresso in July 2024.
Chairman Paul Bulcke expressed confidence in the new leadership, saying the board believes Navratil will accelerate growth and efficiency while keeping the company’s strategy on course.
Meanwhile, Nestlé has been facing financial pressures, reporting a 10.3% drop in first-half profits in July, partly due to sluggish consumer spending in China. The company’s share price also fell by nearly 25% last year, raising concerns among Swiss pension funds invested in the firm.

President Bola Tinubu on Friday called on the family of late former Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh, to uphold the values that defined him as an exceptional Nigerian statesman.
Tinubu, who was represented by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, spoke during Ogbeh’s burial in Otukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The remains of the elder statesman were interred in his country home, Efugo, Otukpa, at about 1:18pm amid tributes from political leaders and dignitaries across the country.
Delivering the president’s testimonial titled “Contributions of Chief Audu Ogbeh to the Political Development of Nigeria”, Akume described Ogbeh as a humble, compassionate and unifying figure whose contributions to Nigeria’s political landscape would be remembered for generations.
“We equally remember him for his humility, compassion and generosity. He was a unifying personality who bridged divides and brought people together. His impact on Nigerian politics and society will be felt for generations to come,” Tinubu said.
The president acknowledged that Ogbeh’s death had left a vacuum in Nigeria’s political space but insisted that the legacies he left behind remained indelible.
Tinubu further said Ogbeh’s political journey cut across Nigeria’s dominant parties, noting his key roles in both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Chief Audu Ogbeh played significant roles in Nigerian politics, particularly in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was a founding member of the PDP and contributed significantly to Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999. He served as the PDP’s National Chairman from 2001 to 2005, working to balance party dynamics and navigate complex national issues with reason and principle.
“Chief Ogbeh also played a critical role in the formation of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and its merger with the All Progressives Congress (APC). He joined the APC in 2015,” Tinubu stated.
The president added that beyond partisan politics, Ogbeh was remembered for his “integrity, intellectualism, and dedication to public service.”
“His dedication to Nigeria’s progress and development was unwavering,” he said, urging Nigerians to emulate his example of leadership and service.
Dignitaries at the burial included the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev; Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Barr. Pius Akutah; Executive Director of Housing Finance and Accounts, FHA, Dr. Mathias Byuan; Senator Titus Zam (Benue North-West); Deputy Governor of Benue State, Sam Ode; former Anambra governor, Chris Ngige; and former Benue deputy governor, Chief Steven Lawani, among others.
