maryyo:Check my signature |
Prospecmarley:How was it designed before? |
heywhy824:Do you have a project to undertaking? |
heywhy824:Ok. Thanks for the observation. However, UCbrowser is my default browser on my phone and the site appears very fine. I have even tested it against other browsers. I also used Google analytics to monitor the browsers my users used most and try to adapt the site further. As technology evolve, one should continue to upgrade and update one's site to keep pace with modern practices. Whatever way you look at it, responsive web design is the way to go. |
heywhy824:I am sorry how you feel. But the last time I check I tested the site on top 8 leading browsers. Also the site works Fine across various devices. Between you only rant without saying which Browser you are using. I guess you know that there is different between browsers compatibility and responsive design. Why not be specific rather than make general misleading comment |
The fates of patients on admission at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital are now hanging in the balance owing to a strike embarked on by members of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) because of unpaid four months salaries. When journalists visited the university teaching hospital on Saturday, some of the patients complained that the doctors had practically abandoned their duty posts since Monday April 11 and this had deprived them of efficient medical treatments. Some of the patients, who spoke under anonymity , said those diagnosed for critical ailments had pressed for referral to private hospitals and Federal Teaching Hospital , Ido Ekiti, to prevent sudden death. A top member of the hospital’s management team who reacted to the strike under anonymity because he was not authorized to speak said: “We are speaking to the striking doctors , but it seems as if they are recalcitrant , they didn’t want to bow to pressure at all. Bossforeva:You start first by engaging a professional blog designer. It is not enough to buy a premium theme. The best part of a successful blog start with a good plan. To be sincere N300K is not too much to invest in a blog. If someone tell you otherwise, that person is a novice. Have you find out how much Naij.com invest in their blog. Afterall, they hit the market few years ago. Now they own jiji (dot) ng If you will like to know how to get ROI for you money in the short and long time, PM me at info@webclick.com.ng Mind you, we have a blog design service at http://webclick.com.ng/services/corporate-blog-design/ |
Prospecmarley:Well you can google search for theme in any category of web design. For instance something like "free Wordpress portfolio themes". Mind you though, free theme comes with limitations but there are great free theme there that can work for you. |
An addon domain is a fully functional domain that can be created from within your control panel. Think of it as having multiple hosting packages all sharing the same control panel. You can create email addresses, forwarders and more — the same way you do for your primary domain on the account. The only difference is that the files share the same control panel and server. The Addon Domain is best for individual who want to maintain more than one website. Say for instance, you own a business, a church, a non-profit organization and possibly a personal blog. Instead of having separate hosting for all website, you simply use an addon domain to host them on a platform. Here is a little Math below: For instance, a popular hosting company in Nigeria charge N5000 for a 5GB webspace + 15GB Bandwidth excluding domain. If you host 3 websites with them, you would have paid N15000 for hosting. Compare that to the platform I use, where I use Addon domain to host the 3 sites on the same platform. My package comes with 20GB SSD-Accelerated Disk Space, Unlimited bandwidth excluding domain. This will cost me $38.88/year. Even at N300/dollar, I will spend N11,664. Don't forget that I have extra 5GB space plus unlimited bandwidth. Meanwhile, If I use the other package, I will have to upgrade if I exceed my bandwidth. How an Addon Domain Works When creating an addon domain, three things happen: 1. a folder is created in the public_html directory 2. a subdomain is created for the primary domain and attached to the new folder 3. the new domain name is associated with the subdomain This all happens automatically when an addon domain is assigned to an account. There is no need further action other than uploading content to the addon domain. Addon URL Example For the primary domain say www.webclick.com.ng, if you assign the addon domain kampe.com.ng to the folder "kampe," the following URLs would be correct: webclick.com.ng/kampe kampe.webclick.com.ng kampe.com.ng All three of these paths would access the same directory and show the same website. For visitors going to kampe.com.ng, there is no evidence that they are being routed through kampe.webclick.com.ng How To Get Started A lot of Hosting sites offer Addon Domain service to their hosting. Simply register the domain and use it as an addon domain. You can create emails on any of the domains. If you have any question, post it below I will try to respond. |
gidimasters:Thanks. Wordpress is really awesome since it is based on PHP and Mysql thsat power some of the world's best applications. |
Prospecmarley:I have a host of those premium themes but I don't have the licence to give it out to others. However, you can join premium theme club membership sites. However, you need to experiment with their design framework before you invest your money. |
Responsive website design is an approach for designing websites to provide an easy experience (navigating, resizing, scrolling) viewing the site across many platforms and screen sizes… computer screens, laptops, smart phones and tablets. Websites with responsive design will adapt and display on any device or screen size, making for an enjoyable experience for your viewers. It’s not enough to just have a website today. Your readers expect to be able to get the information they want immediately, and often in the palm of their hand with smart phones and tablets. With more people using their smartphones and tablets for tasks that only used to be possible on desktop, it has become increasingly important to create a website that works across multiple platforms and caters to the needs and requirements of customers. Customers need easy access to websites on all their devices. Creating a new website version for every screen resolution and mobile device would be impractical. The solution is mobile responsive website design. Responsive websites change their layout, and/or appearance, based on the size of the screen the site is viewed on. Responsive website design is flexible in layout, and use fluid grids, layouts, and images, and CSS media queries. As a reader moves between their laptop, ipad, or smart phone, a website viewed on these devices should automatically resize to accommodate resolution and screens. In other words, the website has the ability to respond to the reader’s preference. Even more sophisticated responsive design is available for smaller mobile devices, such as coding the site to hide some information, or present new information, or provide a simplified and stripped down version of the full website. If your website is more than two years old, you should think about redesign of your site. New and better technologies are available now that make your site easier for you to manage, and for viewers to access. Older technologies are becoming outdated (such as ‘Flash’ websites.. that will not view on mobile devices). First publish at http://webclick.com.ng/responsive-website-design/

When I started web design, I used Whogohost. Since we launch our Web design agency at WebClick (http://webclick.com.ng), I have been using Namecheap where I got more value for my money. I had a host of issues with Whogohost including downtime, inability to access my emails and the support was not really encouraging. However, I use them for registering my domain especially the country-level domain. As for hosting, they are no go area. Infact, I have succeeded in moving all my clients from the platform except one who seems not to care. HOWEVER, I THINK IT IS WRONG TO CONCLUDE THAT THEY A SCAMMERS. They are one of the oldest hosting company in Nigeria. That being said, I think they either switch their hosting platform or improve on it. |

I am tempted to align my self with those who put the legislative arm of govt as most corrupt especially with the current happening in the NASS |
ifyan:Lol |
Jesusloveyou:That is some point there esp. about the judiciary being there. But we never can know other arm may also overtake them afterall, they have all been around the corridor of power |
The recent happening in Nigeria political space has left many wondering where the hope of the poor lies. There has been blame and counter-blame, accusations in all quarters of the arms of government. Sometimes when you think the judiciary will provide the recipe people expect, they will come with another technical excuse or admit error in some judgement. I am writing a white paper on these arms of government in Nigeria but I am confused as to which of the arm of government is less corrupt. Please what is your take on this. If you will list the arms of government in order of their corruption from highest to the lowest, how will you rate them? |
Smooyis:What do you expect? However I am happy with the development since the kidnappers turn to kidnapping kids, poor and students. |
Just stopping by. What about suggesting some CUTE females on our raider? http://webclick.com.ng/bloggers-partners/ |
What is your best payment gateway for ecommerce in Nigeria |
TippyTop:Are you implying that Tompolo and Shekau are in the same category? How do you come about your analogy? |
Whether you’re struggling to create a pre-ordering option within your current ecommerce marketplace, or you’re anxious to find out how your warehousing setup will interact with your online store, there are plenty of ecommerce options out there that can help your business succeed. It’s in that spirit that I’ve taken the liberty of listing out some of the best platforms that I think small to mid-size businesses should be using right now. Here are the criteria I used to evaluate each software product: Cost Ease of use E-commerce features offered Website hosting and design Customization options Payment processors (including in Naira) Merchant tools Automation capabilities Back-end features Marketing tools Third-party integration Reporting and analytics Service limitations Customer service Here is a full list of 5 best e-commerce platforms, and a summary of what each platform offers in no particular order 1. WooCommerce — Build your e-commerce business on WordPress, or add an online store to your existing self-hosted WordPress website or blog. WooCommerce provides you with a shopping cart, payment processing, back-end integration, online store management tools and more. Like WordPress, WooCommerce can be customized with different themes, extensions and plugins, giving you limitless options for your online store. 2. Shopify — One of our top pick for the best e-commerce software for business is Shopify, which lets you create an online store quickly and easily. The full-featured e-commerce software includes an online storefront, payment processing, Web hosting, a website builder, marketing and analytics tools, third-party integration and more. 3. osCommerce — osCommerce lets you build a secure, self-hosted online store for free. One of the most widely customizable e-commerce software products, osCommerce is an open-source solution that also offers more than 7,000 free add-ons, so you get total control over how your online store looks and works. The company has been around for 14 years, making it one of the most reputable e-commerce solutions for small business. 4. Ecwid — Loved by many of the small business owners we spoke to, Ecwid lets you add an online store to your existing website in as little as 5 minutes. For even more selling opportunities, Ecwid online stores also work on mobile devices and can be added everywhere, from social media (including Facebook and Tumblr) to marketplaces like Google Shopping, Yahoo and Shopping.com 5. Magento is an extremely elastic ecommerce platform in that it can fit the needs of small or large businesses, making it probably the most scalable platform on this list. The platform owes its popularity to the fact that it’s open source, which means that adding features is extremely easy. For example, if you’d like to increase conversions on your site, you can add Nosto, a free extension that tracks unique visitor behavior and offers them suggested items based on their online actions. While Magento can be a great option for growing companies, it is a platform that’s more mature (i.e., complicated to use) than the average platform meant for first time ecommerce retailers. While that shouldn’t deter smaller business owners when it comes to integrating Magento into their workflows, I do suggest that you make sure you’re confident in your ability to learn the ins and outs of using such a sophisticated platform before implementation. Over to you. What is your best e-commerce platform? What other questions do you have concerning e-commerce? |
