How you manage see them when I no fit see the same, be like say na mod. thing. But my posts were completely decent and straight forward, no foul language or wrong suggestion, everything is as projected by the network. Is there something I am missing or need to know?
Computers / Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by webgenius(m): 10:19pm On Feb 04, 2010
Make I repost am again.
True talk Dual. This is the reason I used Starcomms in December Business time. I got rewarded with N7500 free talk time for on net calls by using my Starcomms prepaid mobile line to recharge. There is an on-going promo where you get rewards for using the rechargable cards. I then used MTN night plan for N2500 to supplement. This promo only works if you use recharge card denominations of N5000 and N2500 i.e if you pay thru the bank or ATM Card, you get nothing.
I guess Starcomms may be confronting those who are making spurious claims of free browsing for ridiculous amount.
Food for thought: how will the networks develop to provide us browsing speeds of 8-10 MB if awoof is as successful and widespread as the claim is at this time.

Problem with Almighty formula: MTN night browsing plan starts at 10pm and ends at 6 am. Starcomms business plan 9:00 to 9:00 pm. What happens to the intervals if you need to browse urgently. Glo offers Business time from 8:30 to 9pm I think. Dual what do you think of the different permutations?

Computers / Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by webgenius(m): 9:56pm On Feb 04, 2010
Another thing to note, use recharge cards of N5000 and N2500 only to load your Starcomms credit as the reward is 100% the value using these cards
Computers / Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by webgenius(m): 9:46pm On Feb 04, 2010
Hi Dual, you are so correct. This is part of the reason I used Starcomms in December. I also got rewarded by Starcomms with N7500 free talk time for Starcomms to Starcomms calls, making my usage of the data service practically free. I could then use my MTN for night browsing for N2500
To enjoy the free talk time, you have to use a prepaid starcomm phone to load the credit, activate the data service plan thru the phone and immediately get activated plus your reward. This only works if you use the mobile recharge, i.e if you pay thru the bank or using your ATM you get nothing.
I think Starcomms is now fighting back, against all those who are offering spurious connection charges for browsing without paying a dime.
Food for thought: if awoof is working as well as claimed and becomes widespread, how will the networks develop to the point of giving us total broadband (8-10 MB/Sec)

Religion / Re: The Expressway Churches by webgenius(m): 9:21pm On Feb 02, 2010
The fact is that there is some measure of truth in the poster's thesis. Many churhes and men of God today are way off the mark. Very few are worthy to derserve followership.Sometimes it appears to me that much of religion is a control game: the elite versus the masses, the rich versus the poor, the connected versus the loners etc.
I cannot also help but note that some of these Revs. are well educated in the art of manipulation and use this to intimidate their members. Has someone noticed that some of them passed thru a certain institution (  Adeboye, Kumuyi, Odukoya, and I think Bakare, Wale Oke etc) There is a grand design somewhere by someone very intelligent to manipulate people using religion.
Have you also noticed that the Nigerian state supports these people to achieve this control over the populace.
Nigeria is the way it is because of religion: Islam, christianity etc.
May God help us in our country. As someone said, the modern world is developing very fast in many ways, Nigeria is not. Even our African neighbours have left us behind

Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Girls Only! by webgenius(m): 9:25am On Jan 26, 2010
It is quite obvious that poster is up to no good. Why not concentrate on developing yourself educationally, socially and otherwise than looking for a 16 year old. If you are much older, look for your mate, if you are younger bend down your head and read your books. I'm sure you have many exams to pass and be serious in your life. Girls and relationships can always come later in life.
Romance / Re: My 'wife-to- Be' Is Not Happy About My Visiting Nairaland. by webgenius(m): 9:18am On Jan 26, 2010
I believe poster is trying to win our sympathy. I am sure the issue the babe has a problem with is not his visiting Nairaland, unless she is childish or a control freak. It may have something to do with his numerous exploits online e.g P.o.r.n etc. If she really loves you I'm sure she can live with sharing you with Nairalanders.

Wish you a happy birthday Mama Gee!!!!! From the much I have read you are very controversial or shall I say attract too many negative criticism, innuendoes, etc and as I have seen you always rise to the challenge and make your antagonists run for cover with their tails between their legs. grin grin grin grin
Enjoy your day
Politics / Invitation By Us Senate To Alhaji Mutallab by webgenius(m): 11:05pm On Jan 17, 2010
Hi all, what is your view on the invitation to Alhaji Mutallab, father of the suicide bomber to appear before the US Senate on the 19th of January? Should he go or should he ignore their invitation? I would have thought that this process would have been conducted before the listing of Nigeria as a suspect nation for terrorist activities?
Shouldn't he request or demand a reversal of this listing which is punishing Nigeria for his son's crime, a measure which is against the international principle of individual responsibility in acts committed by an individual and not a sovereign nation like Nigeria, before he honours any invitation?

Does the US Senate have the right or audacity to summon a citizen of another nation without routing such request through the government of that country? In this case if the approval of the Nigerian authorities was sought, should our government not extract a reversal of the listing before giving their consent to Alhaji to proceed to the USA.
What should be Alhaji's comportment before the US Senate if he attends: plead for his son or conduct himself with dignity and poise even in this trying time for him and his family?

Family / Re: Are You A Lady And Would Like To Meet-up With A Guy? by webgenius(m): 7:59pm On Jan 13, 2010
Well given your young age it should not be difficult finding a girl who meets your description. I just wonder what exactly you want in the would be relationship: companionship, friend, sex etc. I guess you also need to describe yourself a bit to attract a reply from a reasonable and responsible female.
I'd hope you are working as hard at self-development as you are in this search and ofcourse that you are mature and responsible enough to handle it.
Wish you the best as you make your decisions

Family / Re: Lecturer Wants To Sleep With My Wife by webgenius(m): 12:56pm On Jan 10, 2010
It's a shame that the moral decadence in our society is increasing. If you approach a woman or lady and she says no, why not move on and ask someone else who may be interested. These guys feel that it is a right for them to sleep with every female student who crosses their path, and that no woman can say no to them and graduate. They will go to any length to achieve this and sadly even their colleagues will support them as a mark of solidarity, the leadership of the university inclusive.
If a lecturer abuses the trust the society has placed on him by entrusting young minds to him to train and mould into shining lights of the future, why should he abuse that trust to satisfy his inordinate affections and lack of self-control and be spared the sanctions of the men of goodwill in the larger community?
Those who play ball are rewarded with marks, favours, prospect of obtaining jobs, etc, those who say no and have no connections are dealt with thoroughly.
May God help us to do what is right no matter how difficult

Politics / Re: Work Begins On $3bn Lagos Light Rail by webgenius(m): 3:20pm On Dec 29, 2009
I congratulate the Governor and his team. Imagine that metroline was supposed to cost 25Million in 1979, was cancelled by the military for reasons best known to them and now the good people of Lagos are to pay 3 billion because of reasons of 'national security'.
The time to do this is now, whatever it will cost, the govt should not be deterred otherwise the next generation will be building it at 300 billion. Even if it takes 20 years to complete, the people of that time will enjoy the benefits

Career / Re: GTBank Vs Zenith Bank by webgenius(m): 8:28pm On Dec 21, 2009
Without a doubt, Zenith is the better of the two. The amount needed to open an account with Zenith is negotiable, their website says no definite amount is required, but in practice it is variable. I have heard of people opening with as low as 50G, opened my current with 100G and later a savings account with something similar. Zenith has created a world of opportunities for me, its IT dept is second to none. It is really a world apart from the rest of the banks.

Hi, I think what the guys are telling you Leo is if you are smart enough , as I know you are, to post this topic, then you are smart enough to type "broadband" in google search and get more than enough answers to your enquiry. It's a pity they are not telling it you very nicely, it's probably like asking who Babatunde Raji Fashola is on this website.

Hi all, does anyone know if MTN 3G will work in Festac area? I have been unable to see the network signals and will like to buy the new N8500 modem if I am sure it will work in Festac Town.
