Sorry brand new one is sold for N6000, at VI Lagos. This is the price I bought mine |
Looks like the effect of Telkom pullout is beginning to affect Multilinks. I am disappointed with their QoS. My 250 hours is gone even though I only use the modem sparingly, as Zoom is my regular. They tell you its possible you did not sign out before shutting down, yet each time I start my system, the modem is never on. They have short-changed me and I am now looking for another alternative to Multilinks for now. |
hi,what is the next step for MainOne? |
I think this soft sell is trying to pull wool over our eyes in a trade gimmick.Look closely at the other headlines which are false eg OGD picked the ticket for PDP for Ogun East unlike what the magazine displays. I believe the other headlines are just as false as they are misleading |
Churchill was Scottish (though born in Oxfordshire),started his political career there before moving to England where he held many political posts. |
Wiston Churchill was also Scottish.I guess it's a game of numbers: England 40-45 million, Scotland 10-15 million, Wales 5 million, don't know about Northern Ireland |
@fstranger6: Kobojunkie has agreed to marry you. I hope you can cope with her indepth analysis, very thorough exposes and readiness to take you on any topic or argument that ensues at home. You know she never loses an argument and is very vast in many issues. Do you have the balls? ![]() |
Gov Raji Fashola has been returned by the ACN for a second term in office. I am glad that he now has an opportunity to complete the numerous people-oriented programs he has initiated in Lagos. Is there any credible opposition on the horizon, who can surpass his record in office? |
hi all,has anyone tried the MainOne service during thi trial run at Lekki? Wonder if they have anything for home users like us in the pipeline? |
how is the android as at today? |
I am sorry to say that I have exactly the same problem, been wondering what I did wrong |
Na waa oooo!!!!! for this hard time wey money no dey, na im somebody go sell balloon cement say na , for 75G. God save our souls |
I think it costs N74000 for the android, a router and something else, don't know how many people will go for it at that price when not everyone is happy paying N7000 or N15950. Unless of course the is guaranteed quality service |
I think it is the router which costs about N47000, why should it not work well.I ddoubt if you can get a swap or a refund because they need your money, but no harm in trying |
@Fogman: You may want to know that I am currently using Zoom 1X to browse as I have been doing for about 6 months. Before then I was using Zoomblast( the broadband service) for about one and half years. The problem with your browsing may not be the network,it could be your system, your location etc. Anyhow all the networks do have issues now and again, with none being exempt from these. I have also used MTN, Starcomms broadband, Multilinks 1X and now also have Multilinks broadband. At the end of the day I guess one chooses what best suits him. For me right now I am using Zoom 1x, and Multilinks broadband and my monthly expenditure is an average of N8300 |
If you need a 24 hour plan,it would cost you about N10000/month on Multilink and this has a limit of about 6Gig per month.Zoom(Reltel) has a broadband service where you pay N15000 per month for unlimited use, Starcomms has same at N15950/month. But do you really need a 24 hour service? Besides, whichever network you choose, you will need some back-up in the event that your preferred network experiences some downtime, which is often the case with all of them. Should you prefer the option of busy hours, Zoom has an 8-8pm package, Starcomms has a 9-9 package The device you spoke of from Multilinks is a router, I do not know the make or the properties but I think you can get a decent switch or router for much less at Ikeja and this should serve your < 10 PCs. |
Ofcourse I am in the house.Depends on what the company does and how much of online activity it would be undertaking, its location for network coverage, which package would best suit it eg 9-9, or bundled hours, etc. With some more info, I am sure you will get the best response from the forum. Brand new modem with 1 hour surf time N6000 from a dealer and N8000 from Head office. |
Hi, please send it to netcruise@live.com.Thanks |
@Puskin: I go call Victor Odili and tell him about your travails OKbut I find it difficult to believe that the great Puskin is limited to one network.I expect that you would be on two or three (possible for about 8G/Month).Anyhow,I no get cafe for festac, only SO. |
Which problem? Abeg your guy dey wait ooooooo!!!!!! |

@Puskin: how you dey? Do you have IDM 6 for free to share with your guys? I no want that one wey you dey collect money for, totally free na im I want |
Anything new on our beloved Starcomms or have all the issues been exhausted? When will Starcomms begin to offer 4G or LTE like Mobitel or at least 3.5G like some of the GSMs? |
This thread does slip to the back pages so fast, I wonder why some less useful ones continue to make early pages even without recent posts. Anyone tried MOBITEL more recently esp their 1Mb/sec or the 512Kb/sec |
@dejavume : it is very possible with the AnyData modem. I use it on 5 systems. @dacouse: to change your package from 50 to 100 hours call customer care and inform them. It will take at least 24 hours, but do not load any credit unless you confirm that you have been migrated to the package of your choice. It is said that you cannot migrate more than once a month |
I wish they could have done a market survey before launch. Why the cap, if I am to pay N20000 and be limited to 5G.Why not unlimited download for taht amount? If they are interested in market volume they would have to review their package.Even MTN has increased from 3G to 5G for the monthly bundle at a cost of N8000, Multilink which used to have a cap on their 50 hours, 100 hours and 250 hours has removed the cap entirely. I expect the competition to become stiffer and prices lower, so Mobitel please review and see your customer base soar. I understand that Mobitel has spent over $70 million to provide 4G, but ROI will come over time and with a loyal satisfied customer base. |
What is its condition, how old etc? |
