BusinessIndustry Showdown! by webizone(op): 5:22pm On Mar 05, 2015
Hi peeps,

This thread is open for those of us who have always compared between/among two/more industries which have impacted us in no little way sometimes, even influencing our way of life.

Here, we compare:
-Their impact (who do we need more)
-Political issues surrounding them.
-Of course, how much money flows there (which one get better moolah)
-Any other debate you have to side one industry over the other.

To set the ball rolling...

DEBATE #1

THE OIL INDUSTRY V. THE TELECOMMUNICATION INDUSTRY
Intro:
These two giants have undoubtedly changed our lives so much that we cannot imagine a modern world without them. What inspired me to match these two up was for the fact that I heard from a geologist friend that it took about $20m to dig an oil well per day and an engineer friend that it's not difficult for a telecom company to have just made N25m one minute ago (yeah N25 per min call rate x 1m active callers excluding other services like sms, internet data, etc).

Also inspiring is the fact that energy is in use constantly by drivers/generators right outside my door and by-products like plastics even found on your laptops and phones right now are all from oil.....
While everything happening right now consumes data which people are constantly transfering as we are nothing short of social who constantly need information to act or react, in whatever form it may be.....

So, there you have it peeps. Debate!

i hate that since sunday i placed a withdrawal order for shop payout but i haven't been verified.
why must ur shop withdrawal not be instant and needs this long process to effect?
if it's like that for the shop, how much difficult is it for ur bank withdrawal then?
If that's gonna be ur way, i guess i may have to take my business elsewhere because i cud b comfortable betting n loosing but when i can't get my wins, i am not interested.

u will take ur selected numbers to d lotto vendor and instruct him or her on how u want it to be played. We av 1banker which means u placed bet on a single number and if that number was among d winning numbers, u've won. 2sure is a game u played by selecting just 2 different number, both numbers must be among d winning number before u won. 3direct is a game u played by selecting 3different numbers and all ur selected numbers must be among d winning numbers before u won. 4direct is a game played by selecting 4different numbers and all ur selected numbers must be among d winning numbers before u won. Perming is a game u played by selecting 3 to 10different numbers and 2 out of ur selected numbers must be among d winning numbers before u won. U can also play game against each other I.e u can play as much as 20different numbers, u will just instruct the vendor to play selectd games against each other. Ask and u will get more clarification.
Thanks for explaining to me. I still have questions like:
1. From a pool of how many numbers will u select to play each game?
2. What returns should I expect from each game type.
3. Which one is NATIONAL? Is it a game type? What other game types has a special name?

Thanks again.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Stop Placing Unrealistic Targets On Marketers, CBN Tells Banks by webizone(m): 9:04pm On Nov 20, 2014
I used to say this to marketers and am saying it again: Instead of suffering yourselves for these organisations all in the name of a petty-paying job you might be sacked from tomorrow why not get a product that is rare in your locality, set your price, and put in the same marketing effort for it, and yourselves? If your destiny na marketing, I tell you most solemnly you would be the one bankers rush to ask for you to open an account with them.

Nawa o. Well, I guess everyone can never think the same no matter how bad the situation is.

Iranu oshi.
I think the solution for men who want to solve the problem of raw disrespectful girls and those with bad mouth is/are:
- Don't talk to them, don't date or marry them, if possible never give that kind sex. Infact, ignore them and never let them come near your stuff while you keep buying more.

- Let other girls handle them and you will give no support.

I tell you anytime one meets you, she will choose her words carefully. It works! *winks*

Fair enough.... but does that girl now turn to a runs girl because of that guy? So because the guy did that to her she now cheapens herself more? O meni ka o bu mmetu? Male prostitutes.

MEN
Don't U get it? Yes men patronise them because it seems to be only what the women are offering them.
I am an astute statistician. And it tells me that the probability of ever having a relationship at all with the opposite sex is higher through prostitution.

Are there more prostitutes than real girls?
Is it always a money thing that girls go into relationships or a secret desire to engage in casual sex for profit?

These questions fill my mind as a result of an experiment I did over a long time.
It goes this way:

If I ask to take a girl out and possibly date for real or just say I was searching for love, I get ignored.

But, let me just say I am looking for a one night stand or as it's called "an escort" or just a companion for a weekend, and just say sth like "I will take care of you (meaning money) and satisfy you in bed",
my phone will just be buzzing like crazy,
and if I get to see their pics, those girls are really beautiful , I mean crazy fine.

What went wrong?

FamilyRe: Opinion- Guys Think It's All About Their Money? by webizone(m): 1:47pm On Nov 10, 2014
freshdude2:
1. Thinking so would be a mistake.

2. Another mistake. Women love what money signifies; comfort, security, self-actualisation. A moneyed man symbolises all this, it's only natural for women to love a moneyed man. grin

3. Of course, she would, but in most cases she'd be settling. We all know women generally want the tall, dark, handsome and rich. Being poor and broke is an unfortunate combination and almost every woman married to such a man didn't have any other option to begin with.
U know, u actually made sense. U hit the matter while being in a woman's shoes.

Men of these days think it's all about getting rich and having the best woman in this world.

When they see an ugly rich man with a beautiful wife, they think it's all about money without love.

Do you agree that a lady would marry an ugly, not-so-rich man?
VickyyB, sm1 wise always told me make I no dey carry people problem for head. You have your own life to build. It's their choice and you've got your own choice to make.

RomanceRe: Are Guys Really Over-confident Or What? by webizone(m):
VickyyB:
It baffles me when ever I come across some threads, and Nairaland guys would be posting about how they will never marry an ugly girl or covering the girl face while having sex with her. It makes me wonder, "are all guys really cute"?
Aren't they suppose to be thinking about how we will manage to have sex with their ugly self?

Now, a girl created a thread about, "Curvy girls and pretty girls which one a guy would prefer".
A guy was like, lets marry pretty face and make ugly ones go extinct.
Are all guys really cute? Doesn't it take a cute man and woman to make a cute child.

Often times, I jam some threads on a celebrities section where guys would be insulting a girl for making snide comment on a celebrity picture posted by Original Poster but when a guy do the same, it's a different ball game. Everybody will keep mute. Is it really a guy world?

Even our fellow girls isn't helping matters. Trying so hard to impress men while baskin in an euphoria of hypocrisy.
Like a thread 'Firsteva' created about her boyfriend and two cars.
I thought men said we are weaker links and their subordinate?.
Why were they complaining that firsteva was exhibity the trait by begging for car? Smh

Double Standard.

What do you have to say?
VickyB, when I decided to follow you it was in that thread where people were deciding btw pretty face and "killer body". The way u commented, I just thought this girl really knew what I was feeling and thinking. Yep, now I know. You read the same threads I did, followed the same pattern of thought and posted. Maybe I was just lazier than you. Although I actually think it's a woman's world as you thought it was a man's world, ha ha. I think u will always defend women blindly as do I for men.
But I have evolved beyond that, I think it is very blissful beyond imagining if we let ourselves go for the other, to respect, love and cherish. My two kobo.

Aside: U r a really pretty lady in ur profile pic o. Well, I fine pass you sha, mwuahahaha. wink
