It's a well known fact that most guys get the jitters when they want to approach a girl. (Girls, forget those fast talking ones, that's a minority). So you can imagine the stress a guy goes through when he sees a lady he truly feels would be perfect (all from her appearance, typically how God made guys) and knowing that he is most likely to get rejected. Ha, it almost always happens. Some may persist but most give up. Why? Maybe because it so often occurs that it is a NORMAL EXPECTATION. Which is why guys are exceedingly surprised if the girl shows interest. And as different as they are, surprise may come with different reactions. Some may think she was cheap (normally unfaithful guys), and some will treasure the moment, and the girl, forever because it was rare (really wanna find the one but afraid of rejection type of guys). Sorry, I digressed a bit, but I just wanted to show context, or the foundation with which you can understand this type of guy. So how does the majority of jittery 'good' guy become unfaithful? Well we go back to 'the rejection point'. The 'perfect' girl rejects him (oh my God, disaster!), and this type moves on with..., eh, kinda heartbroken. Whenever he gets over it and gets ready to 'love' er, 'like' again, the cycle repeats itself over and over again. Well, that kind of unrelationship has drastic effects on a guy's self esteem. A lot will begin to feel worthless, inadequate, and downright useless. Desperately, a lot will begin to reduce the bar right down to naive school girls, porn stars, prostitutes, sugar mummies, wowo girls (nobody would really date but since they have got bodies, well...). Now, I don't mean they have sex with these, but for those who do stick to their fate (ie, u end up chasing school girls for life or u might marry one). So many would not end there though, what happens is that THEY LEARN. They wait for the time society wants them, no, I mean, literally pushes them to get a mate. Well, people, I hope you know when that time is. For the slower minds, it is when your family just want their grandchildren, nephew or niece from you. It is when u have your big car and when u drive around the street or go into places, and everyone, yeah including some typical girls want your attention. Well, he just plays along and may initiate a date or gets married. But, he just knows the women actually are the initiators. It shouldn't have been a waste of time and energy talking to girls. The woman has to come to him. And if she does, and she is better than the one he's with, then the ' I think I love my wife' phrase appears in his mind. Well, happy the man who finds the woman that makes him not 'see' other women. Happy still be the woman with a faithful man. God bless our homes with love, peace and harmony. Amen.

P.S.: Women stop being hot after marriage, why? Abeg, don't nag, continue being beautiful, continue saying sweet words to your husbands at intervals, and make love TOGETHER. Heeeen. Aha!


Should she take the first step, or accept him to know more about him? YES and NO. My answer is that it depends on the type of guy. AjanleKoko: Well, it's not a 'strategy' at all. Just a way out for brothers who 'lost out' when they were in Uni.

Like you rightly pointed out, girls like to date upwards. So Mr Corper should take advantage, and go after uni or poly girls who live in his town of primary assignment. So he can quickly 'upskill' himself where women are concerned.

That way, when he is unleashed unto the wider world, he can be better equipped to handle man-woman interaction. Just imagine a guy who had no babe all through uni, and also roasted during his NYSC, now getting a job in a nice bank in VI, where lots of nice bubbly chicks abound.
