Regional government may be the best for Nigeria, set up the regions to compete against each other
They won't do that, because, with this arrangement, they don't have to work or exploit their own resources to develop their zones, but rather exploit the oil in SS without regards to whether people are suffering there or not. But blaming them is not good enough. The biggest portion of the blame goes to leaders in the SS/SE for not at least using those God given resources to develop those areas.

100%. Go form your Biafra.
I am understanding you a bit clearer now. And your frustration with black men. I don't need much to tell me where you are from and how frustrating it can be. I have an idea of a place you can get a man you will respect. Something tells me you need a man who can stand for himself, someone who doesn't really bend to authority but to himself, with only follow if orders align with his goals.
But you also need a man who's done well for himself. Even though, he has the strength of character above but he should not be average in resources but may not be super wealthy.
But you have a tribal streak in that you don't want to risk marrying outside your tribe.
Am I right thus far?

Ghana, Rwanda and Zimbabwe have the highest inflation in Africa
No wonder then, that they are the most vocal against foreign powers that keep taking their resources of recent, with Ghana threatening to back their currency with gold. But it's a little late for all these now.
Nigeria is still sleeping, doing all the corruption it does, and allowing the bulk of our commonwealth to go overseas until everything crashes, then they will start disturbing us with "reforms". Case in point, I can't pay for my facebook ads now through debit cards because this government didn't expand our economy to earn foreign exchange, yet they steal the gains from the oil trades.Typical african leaders.

The ignorance in Nigeria is very powerful. While it's true that there's now Islamic takeover in Sudan, you guys don't know that Sudan is an ancient centre for knowledge in Africa. It is said that the medical schools in Sudan rivals or in some cases beat what you can find in Europe. If you are a medical graduate from Sudan, you don't need a remedial in certain western countries.

See am na. You guys now think of Sudan in terms of islamist terrorism. That's how other people think of Nigeria nowadays with Buhari and Boko Haram.
Music/RadioRe: Enugu:Remembering "COSMO FM",Best Radio Station Ever No One Talks About. by webizone(m): 10:00pm On Apr 15, 2023
Peritome:
Do you still remember Cosmo FM?

Do you miss her?

No one is really talking about her.

I'm aware today's Wednesday not Thursday though to talk about "throwback". Funny!

I could remember 15years ago when I left the West where I was born & raised to settle in the East, after Rhythm FM Lagos, Cosmo FM Enugu happened to be my best source of edutainment that added to my civil & social living till date. She was established by the former governor of Enugu state, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani a.k.a Ebeano. She was the best thing that happened to Enugu as at then. Really added to lives like me.

A radio station that's filled with best of the best OAPs like Big Sid "the extra large teddy bear", Jay-Dee, Cleo-Patra, Ogus Baba, Ashionye, DJ Grand Fingaz and others that are now scattered all over.
Then my small transistor radio never leaves me whether home or out(when out, I plug in my headphone). I'm always on the go with COSMO. Keeping me up with all genres of music, shows & programs like World Chart Show with Pee-Jay Butler from California, U.S on Saturdays 5.pm & Rick D Top 40 also streamed from U.S every Sunday afternoon.
Ogus Baba Comedy show every Thursday I guess. Wisdom for Winning by Pst Edwin Bayebo of House on the Rock, Enugu everyday by 6:55.am - 7:00.am just 5mins, e.t.c. Music plays all night long, my radio hardly goes off.

It was great having COSMO Fm all those years.

Do you know about COSMO FM?

Share yours like I did.
Nice to know that someone from the South West has this to say about the South East. Some of my favorite programmes which you didn't mention was "Believe it Or not" and "Ehen".

Cosmo 105.5 Fm... Unbranded.

This station was, and remains the best I've ever listened to. I grew up a radio child... always with my mother's transistor radio, so I've had my fair share of favorite radio stations. Cosmo tops them all.

Sad that EFCC had to close down the station instead of appointing managers for it. For years I prayed that she'll come back on air.

I still hope it will.
Ah so it was EFCC that spoiled a better thing?

And when the village people will kill the man, the family will chase the wife and children away and take over his property. One that happened near here. They are from Ebonyi State. The brother took over the shop and told the wife to stay at home, but car and start flexing, when hunger wan kill the woman, she brought her sick son to the shop to beg the boy for money, only for the boy to call his mom and that wan came and start abusing the woman and told her to back to her family. But her brother whom she stole money from to stand her husband didn't accept her back. No she went back to her village. Think before you act.
That one is a problem on its own. And each problem requires wisdom in tackling it. Of course, for people who come from such a culture, it's not advisable. That's why it's very important to know the culture or place one is marrying into and figure out how to negotiate it which Hakimi just did.

Marriage is very tricky o and before one gets married, one must solve a difficult puzzle.

IbeOkehie:
I understand why Nigerians are uncomfortable when this topic is brought up...and yes, everyone should be uncomfortable grin It's a psychological downer, it's depressing. Every Nigerian lawyer I've talked to about this subject always rushes to this same logic you brought up here, but the practical effects of the Land Use Act doesn't support their opinion.

Land belongs to indigenous people - collectively or individually, family or tribe? Who makes decisions about the land?

Holding land in trust means exactly what? It effectively gives government, specifically Governors, power to do whatever they want in the name of the people.

When you read your C of O, it grants you a revocable lease of 99 years. The name says it all, it's a Certificate of OCCUPANCY, not ownership. That's plain, easy to grasp English.

OK, that's the law, but what about the practical effects of ownership, as in what actually happens in society. I know people whose lands have been seized by Government in cities, villages, Abuja and Lagos. As in, I know them personally. Yet even those affected always argue that Nigerians own land in Nigeria, when they've been PROVEN wrong in real life. It's really a curious psychology, Nigerianity stretched to the limits.

Good Luck to Nigerians.
You are wasting your intelligence and time on a mumu. Sha u get energy. Just figure out your advantages and act codedly.
PropertiesRe: Oba Lateef Atanda Adams To Seize 300 Houses In Surulere, Lagos by webizone(m):
IbeOkehie:
Lack of stable property rights is a big problem in Nigeria. This is something I talk about a lot when I find myself discussing Nigeria issues. By law, when you take it to the basic law, NOBODY owns land in Nigeria, it's all property of the Government. I can count a dozen people I know whose lands and houses in Nigeria have been taken by government or credibly disputed.

The funny thing is how almost no one cares about the issue including victims. It's really strange, even a friend who is currently suffering this issue in Port Harcourt says it's no big deal. I don't get it

The distress in Nigerian Government finances means a lot of this sort of thing will be happening in the near future.

If you work hard to buy or accumulate wealth and that wealth can be easily threatened or taken at any time, the tendency is for people to stop working hard or investing in ways that produce wealth. This is one of the major reasons Nigeria is very poor. The country has a socialist culture.

I hope there will be reforms in law and mindset so that cases like this become bitter memories of the past.
Why do you think Nigerian politicians are buying more properties outside the country?
Honestly, I think I would advise most especially the Igbos to buy properties in saner climes, build living property back home and rent in places like Lagos.

The biggest reason why Nigerians don't own the land is because they are not represented in the constitution. Otherwise, if Nigerians were defined, then it goes a long way to give the people power over the land. As it stands, the state government is the most prominent owner of lands in Nigeria which, the Federal government under Buhari wants to steal from by moving for the waterways bill.
