Dear Nairalanders,

I'd love to know how much it will cost to build the office space in the picture attached. It will be a bungalow with a toilet. The outside walls will be 9 inches block wile the inner blocks will be 6 inches.

I'd love to know how much it will cost from foundation to finishing, such as roofing, ceiling, water closet (soakaway not inclusive) and aluminium frame windows but doors are not inclusive..

I believe this comment was made out of ignorance. First of, the man you quoted had every right to ask important questions instead of diving neck-deep into fire. This mentality of yours is the reason people get defrauded on daily basis in this country. They want quick cash, so whoever presents them some fishy deals, they jump right at it.. Leave the man be and apply for it if you so feel it's genuine...

I pray people don't fall prey in these hard times.. When someone pops up from now where, posts something like this online, same day he registered and even claiming he wouldn't have time to reply messages, then know that there's something fishy...

How do we confirm the genuineness of this? It would have been best if you provided documents to back up your claim or at least, you tell Nairalanders your company name and provide evidence to back up your claims. Or at least you come on here to reply people's comments and confirm that you're genuine. Times are hard and anyone can come up with something juicy and have people defrauded off their hard earned money and brilliant ideas. So do come and defend this claim so that one can be able to acquire your funds for their business.

Also, you failed to state if the money you want to provide will be in form of grant, or equity claims or a loan.

I have my own system that I use to vet on my site forums.

OK. But I still think it's more tedious doing extra work outside maintaining/building his franchise. I think it's we the users that need to employ measures to enable us identify such criminals. It wouldn't be a bad idea going to site with a security personnel (especially for those who can afford it). Also, with what I'm seeing here already, I'm considering pulling off from the internet and facing clients from the real world only. Reasons being the one of discussion and, there are too many fraudsters on the internet, making it very difficult for clients to trust the reasonable business owners on here.

I'm just observing for now tho. If it keeps being this way, then I'll strictly use here for just information acquisition and a place for relaxation, rather than for business.

A few people would have paid and can probably identify these criminals, if they see their faces again?


If we can forward these info to the security agencies, they can easily bait and track down these kidnappers.
It's just too easy for them to shake people down this way.

Same thing is happening in the situation of young men who are desperately looking for jobs, only to get scammed by unscrupulous "employment Agency"

I hope anyone or builder who gets a similar call does not keep it to himself.

The worst part of it all is, scamming unemployed graduates. No matter how evil one is, one should never do that. Even the devil will have some bit of sympathy for such set of unemployed.

I've seen loads of such scam ads back when I was hustling for job. Thank goodness I never attended any..

What exactly can he do when in the real sense, some of those criminals aren't even active. Some are just visitors and not registered while the registered crooks are nothing but trolls on here..

That's humans for you. While some engage themselves with things that can fetch them their daily bread, others are looking for how to steel from reasonable humans. I wonder if taking the easy way out is worth it. How I wish the OP noticed they were fraudstars from the get go and then went their with police (that's if the policemen won't even strike a deal with them there and have him (OP) arrested as the culprit. Pic 1. The panels in their temporary resting place... whether we'll put them back on the roof, or install them closer to the ground is still up for debate.

Pic 2. The terrible state of the flashing and of the silicone gives me real doubts that a roof made of panels would have been water-tight for even one rainy season.

Pic 3. This observation might help inform others (and our final decision): in spite of the heavy rains we're having, there's a thin layer of dust that has settled on the panels in the short 3 months they've been up. For comparison we wiped the left side of the panel. As more layers of dust accumulate over the years, solar production will also decrease. This is expected, but our assumption that any dust would be washed away by rain is partially correct: most of the dust would be washed off, but enough would still accumulate that can only be removed by manual wiping.

If only someone would invent a windshield wiper for solar panels...

Apart from the problem listed here, it think it's kind of a bad practice to lump panels together (when not designed for roofing material). This is because they require species between each other in order to allow for free circulation of air around the panels. Which I had seen this thread earlier.

I believe you fabricate iron doors? If so, do you have any fabricated iron doors with burglary as like in door-in-door style.
Please if you have any post the pics. I have seen some, but just like to see varieties in design fabrication.

I'm pretty much aware of the kind of door you're talking about. However, I do not have pictures of it since I'm just starting up and no one has requested for it yet. Those kinds can be done with either steel door + burglar proof or steel door + steel framed net.

What is press iron, and what makes it different from other irons? I have seen it mentioned in making of iron doors.

Hearing of press iron for the first time. What I know basically is hydraulically pressed steel plates with different types of designs. This is usually achieved with hydraulic press or manually by beating the shapes onto the metal plates. An example is the one in the pic below
