Sirwallace:
You are not in their shoe to understand what these guys must have passed through on the road before this unfortunate incident.

When I travelled to Akwa-Ibom during my NYSC, i was told the journey is roughly 12hrs. So I bought ticket for the next day and left the park exactly 7am thinking I would get to camp by 7, latest 8pm.

Along the road in Ijebu Ode, one of our tyre fly commot. We had to come down and fixed that.
The unscrupulous IPob driver who promised he would reach Akwa-ibom stopped all of us@ owerri directing us to where we will get Aba, which is like an hour journey to Akwa Ibom. This was around 5. As first timer in the east, before I could get somebody that will speak pidgin or English for direction to Aba na war. I was doing all of these till 6 before I found bus.
Crazy traffic, rain, and check point set up between owerri and Aba took almost 4 hrs jorney.

When I got to Aba around 10, I was told the Last bus left. With my last card check up on me, I could not afford a hotel. So I had to wait for the next bus that would return from Aba. The bus finally came around 11pm. Our igbo brothers hike the T.fare by 100%. We sha enter (most passengers are PCM like me).

I got to camp by past 12am,

Some guys came after I got in.

My point: before you judge people, walk in their shoes first.
Okay.

mY PROBLEM with most of these things our Government do is that.....They don't provide alternatives to those poor people....They don't give them enough time...No single human face to their approach..they always carry out this thing as if the masses are their enemy..

In developed nations Government exist to help and work for the betterment of the people and society....

Here Government especially this APCSHIT works to punish the people..There are always looking for more ways to punish and further compound the sufferings of the ordinary man in the street....
Tomorrow, someone will build a kiosk on third mainland bridge, when government dislodges him, you wil shout 'where is the alternative'.

Let's learn to do things right in this country and stop taking government for granted.

Many people do things that only favour Thier businesses or individual livelihood without considering the comfort of others.

Honestly I feel so bad that our government could be so negligent in allowing this virus entry into our country. I actually feel they wanted it to enter the country so they could put all their so called measures into practice, and then finally say 'we did it' just like the former administration(during the Ebola virus scare).

This is the only thing this government has done successfully, comparing itself with the past administration.

GlobusResources:
Hello Everyone.

Thank you for this discussion.

Let me take this opportunity to say that we are for real smiley. we are a reputed organisation dealing in Poultry and Seafood.

coming to the discussion, yes we are successfully into broiler contract farming/ integration already and intend to take the benefit to as many farmers as possible to give them a platform to practice poultry farming and earn returns.

This model of poultry farming has been a successful one across the globe and we wish to replicate the same in Nigeria.

It will be arrangement which will involve a wage contract between an integrator(us) who supplies the intermediate inputs and takes back the output (as per pre decided terms) and a poultry farmer who provides inputs such as administration, rearing and care taking

The farmer as a caretaker gets a predetermined Growing charge (GC) provided all the agreed parameters are met.

Anybody interested can give us a call on the below number and can visit our office anytime during the day to have a detailed discussion.

To a large extent, you are the most gullible one here. For you to have thought that if any responsible or sensible government can dash such huge money like that? Yes, a senseless and irresponsible government like buhari's can do such; infact, I don't doubt him cos major gen buhari's is government is a corruption personified needless to say so many corrupt practices going on under his nose. As a matter of fact, I don't expect any sensible Nigerian to still be supporting this useless government of Major Gen buhari retd anymore except you are part of the beneficiary of the looted funds.
Such senselessness because of hatred for one man. Again, I say I wont educate you. Go and seek knowledge. If you want to blame Buhari, ask NASS to move for his impeachment over this, at least it is an impeachable offence. But of course, people in NASS know the truth, you keyboard warriors can continue to spew trash, it will all end here, on nairaland.

you don not seek full information about an issue, you just jump at it.

Ask yourself, will any sensible government just dash away money like that?

That agreement was initially reach during Obasanjo era and he gave a good reason for that.#
