Bro, nations that doesn't make oye their common source of income will survive it. But look at Nigeria today, the govt depend solely on oye... Hence the reason I made the comment. The govt won't invest because oye provides 80% of the country's income...
All I'm saying is that neccesity is the mother of inventions. Let them blow up the pipelines and ltes us see who would suffer.
And please you and other Niger Deltans should stop using bombing threat whenever there is an arguementy. Its childish.

Another one on the loose. Other state will progress from which money exactly? Hope you know the reason for this recession? Stop saying things out of ignorance, be realistic with your claim.
I sorry for you. You take yourself too seriously.
Recession is here because we mismanaged our resources when we had supplus. Its that simple.

Tell me nations depend on oil for thier prosperity and I'll show you triple that number that don't have a single drop of crude oil.

You these illusion that Nigeria will collapse without oil is not only ridiculous but baseless and insulting to our collective intelligence.
There was a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria before oil, and of course Nigeria will remain if you decide to foolishly destroy oil installations.

When I see some comments on Nairaland, I'd just smile. Kids talking about politics ignorantly. If u've been following politics since 1990.. You'd know Ibori is a mentor and a Leader. Politically, Ibori is more influential,I repeat more influential than Tinubu. I laugh when I see people saying Buhari should arrest Ibori when he returns to Nigeria. Smh.. Even Buhari knows that if he dares, The militants will so deal with the pipelines as usual. The resource control causing dispute today, was what Ibori agitated for back in 2007, hence the reason OBJ decided to witch hunt him...

Ibori might not contest in 2019, but trust me, his presence would influence the results
[/s]

So little sense in so many words. What differentiates you from a child. Yovarr celebrating a convicted criminal, what happened to your sense of shame. I dont have issues with ibori, but saying that militants will retaliate if he's arrested shows how shallow and mean your mind is. Ibori stole from these same people, like I said, I don't have issues if they make him their god. But militant threat kwa, you think blowing up pipelines will crumble Nigeria? Think again.
They will only increase their own suffering while other parts of Nigeria make progress.

You are just gullible, bro.
Where you a witness to the crime or you only believe what you are made to believe because the media reports it? Like I said, parading these people solves the criminal whereas, with considerable certainty, the real culprits are still out there, which thorough investigation would have revealed.

Here's the thing, a rich dude commits crime, the police parade an innocent poor guy before the press, case is closed, the crime is solved. No investigation to ascertain the real culprit.

We pray, we are not caught in this kind of web
I'd not seen much foolishness in recent times. I gave you legal fact, you are making out of topic comments.
You ask if I saw them commiting crime, yet in the same post you say the rich thieve are chilling somewhere. I suppose you have evidence for such dumb claims. You better tell us what else you know.
When next you see a thief in your house, let him go because he's not been proven guilty. Nonsense.

Double Standard in Nigeria sink to high heaven. We support Police parading alleged criminals in News media but kick against jungle justice by the public.

Nigerian Police supposed to be protectors of the law and not the law. Alleged criminal is still innocent until proven guilty by the court. Nigerian Police are always quick to parade alleged criminal in the public in order to give hasty and questionable conclusion to criminal cases. How lazy and sick of them. SMH
These thieves were caught in the act.
Innocent until prove guilty is one phrase that has been basterdise. To the prosecuting counsel (in this case, the police), you are guilty until proven innocent. That's the fact.

I smh for you sir, you are indirectly telling me that a lady with 320 in utme And 70 plus as aggregate has nothing to offer oau compare to the a candidate that had 223 in utme And 66 in post utme.

If you are a lecture in one of the departments in white house And you have those two students, who do you presume will do better in an ideal condition.

If you are an employer of labour, who would you employ first, a graduate with first class or a third class holder
Well I don't blame you, I blame the country for tolerating And cherishing mediocrity. Imagine someone shouting vc list as If it is stated in the constitution.

Mediocrity is the bane of development in africa [/quymissi
These admission rules apply to every Nigeria University.
I personally was a victim in OAU, for the same course. Scored high, but because of competition didn't meet merit, catchment and I'm not from ELDS. What did do? I went round faculties pleading for a change of course, until I was admitted into another faculty because I had a good WASSCE and JAMB.
The lady spoke out too late. You dont choose a competitive course in a school like OAU and think you can go to bed cos you scored over 300. There are several students better than you.

When you are ready to discuss without invoking sentiments, only then will i gratify you with further replies.

See The person shouting vc list and tomorrow you will be shouting that nigerian education system is substandard.
See those people, supporting and sympathizing with the corrupt.

I don't believe your cheap propanganda.

If you want, people to believe your provost publish the admission list of your school and everyone will believe what you are saying and If not I buy your story.

I don't have any business with oau And I don't pray to, my concern is the bright future of a young nigerian lady that your provost want to destroy, by admitting candidates with lesser marks than that young lady.

I know you don't have a conscience but please pity that girl And admit her into medicine.
You obviously lack understanding of how schools run worldwide.
VC's list is NOT a corrupt list. If you condemn it the what do you say about catchment and ELDS?
Do you know that in Europe, admission is easier and cheaper for EU citizens? Is that also corruption. The only way to beat them is to be extra good.
You said you don't have business with OAU, little wonder you think and talk the way you just did...purely on sentiments and pity for the lady.
I had my first and second degree from OAU and have been long in the university system to know how it runs.

By the way stop exposing your ignorance. If admission list wasn't published, how did those who have bee admitted see their names?
Every list for every department is ALWAYS published.

Smh there are lots of candidates that didn't meet up to the cutoff point for the department of Medicine, and yet they were admitted.
If you have any doubt go to the various department and check if the admission process is really transparent as they claim to be.
I will challenge the school management to paste the list of admitted students on daily newspapers and school websites.
That's how it's done in the University of Ibadan and this will give no room for manipulation.
Oga carry your protest go school gate is he explanation not sound enough?
You have merit list, catchment area list, ELDS list and VC list. If you don't make any of this lists, who do I blame. Scored high to make merit, if you don't and also didn't qualify for catchment or ELDS, the you better pray for long leg to meet vc list via connections. It is as simple as that.

I no longer believe in propaganda.
If you can give me a reason why a low scoring candidate, who had 223 in jamb and an aggregate of 66 was admitted to study medicine instead of that young lady, then I will believe your provost.

If you want people to start believing the provost, then the school authority should publish the names of every admitted students and their aggregate scores on the school website and daily newspapers.

It will change the mindset of those who think that the admission process in oau is flawed.
You obviously read but didn't comprehend the explanation given by the Provost

I voted for a Buhari who is a democrat with a little sense of dictatorship. So far he's not even showing 20% of the force I expected. That's what we need in Nigeria.

I remember GEJ saying he didn't use more than 10% of his presidential powers. Abeg bubu use all your powers, we have to get rid of corruption. They cannot continue to hide under rule of law.
