Excellent. Finally Nigeria can produce and mill more of its rice. Government policy of rice finally working. If there wasn't a ban of import from land bordeers, I bet you we won't see this kind of development. |

admax: All this rice this rice that being produced by everybody for 9k etc is now getting ridiculous!
Can we produce rice in commercial quantity? That's the main question and not producing rice for few hundred people, then shouting about it all over social media.
Nigerians eat tonnes of millions of rice per day! Of course we can. Previous government prefers we import, thereby stifling the efforts of farmers. If a small country like Thailand can produce enough rice to feed themselves and feed a whole West Africa, why can't we. If I were President, I'll completely ban rice importation. |
Technology Market › Re: Tecno Mobile Is Owned By A Nigerian by wellmax(m): 11:14am On Dec 08, 2016 |
Deenite: Tecno Mobile is a mobile phone manufacturer with their factory located in China. The company was started in July 2006 in Hong Kong, after Nigerian entrepreneur, Nnamdi Ezeigbo, approached a former Bird employee for a partnership to manufacture affordable dual sim phones Nigerians could easily afford. The rise of telecommunication networks created many opportunities in the Nigerian market. Their poor services caused many Nigerians to purchase more than one mobile phone, so they could try a different network when the other was bad. Nnamdi realised this problem and approached Nokia in a bid to convince them to manufacture dual sim phones for Nigerians, so they would carry only one mobile phone at a time instead of two. They refused to listen because, seeing people carry more of their phones meant more phone sales for them. Nnamdi pitched to this bird employee to come with him to build a mobile phone that would make the lives of Nigerians not just easy, but also more affordable. They came to an agreement, and Nnamdi registered a business in Nigeria called Tecno.
After a while, they finally designed the first Tecno phone called Tecno T101. The market rejected the phone because it had a lot of issues, including the dual sim feature not working properly. This prompted them to go into more research and development, and the result was the Tecno T201. This phone was a lot better than the first, and the market slightly accepted it. With its first research and development centre in Shanghai, China, Tecno Mobile was founded as Tecno Telecom Limited, but later changed its name to Transsion Holdings with Tecno Mobile serving as one of its subsidiaries. Tecno focused its business on Nigeria and the South Asian market. However, following market research conducted in South East Asia, Africa and Latin America, the company found that Africa was the most lucrative region.[1] As a result of this, in 2008, it stopped doing business in Asia to exclusively focus on Africa. While the Tecno was having a great time in the market, it spun off a subsidiary from itself, named Infinix, to cater not just for the middle and lower class, but for all classes of individuals in the country.
Today, Tecno and Infinix are the fastest selling phones in the Nigerian market, and have a rock-solid reputation that has guaranteed their future in the country. The tecno camon c8 [2] helped the mobile phone manufacturer compete market share of Samsung, and Apple in Africa at 55% in 2015

odogwubiafra: And they want a sane person to believe this crap. So how many days does NPF need to explain to the governor why they redeployed his CSO.
Wike should better recruit local hunters(or even milita...) that will provide cover+ instead of corrupt and compromised and shameless NPF. They actually do not owe him any explanation. He didn't appoint his CSO, the Police appointed one for him. |

AyamConfidence: okay I'll ask you this...did you discover this yourself or is it mere hearsay ??
Second, can you prove the above?? JW's do not celebrate birthday parties, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, or other unbiblical celebrations. Even Christmas and Easter are not celebrated as they are pagan holidays. "...birthday celebrations tend to give excessive importance to an individual...Jehovah's Witnesses do not share in birthday festivities (parties, singing, gift giving, and so forth)...." (School and Jehovah's Witnesses, 1983). "...nowhere in the Bible do we find that parents are to be worshiped, or that there should be a Father's Day and a Mother's Day kept in their honor." (Awake!, May 8, 1956). "Christendom's chief holiday, Easter, therefore finds no support at all in the Bible. It is of pagan origin." (The Truth that Leads to Eternal Life, 1968). But the truth is that these celebrations are harmless, and not contrary to Biblical Christianity. To say that Mother's Day or Father's Day is a worship of parents is absurd. It is a show of respect and appreciation. The Christmas and Easter holidays are very Christian holidays that coincide with pagan holidays. They were set on these dates to divert attention from the pagan holidays to the truths of God. |

Second, can you prove the above?? JW says.... "To get one's name written in that book of life will depend on one's works, whether they are in fulfillment of God's will and approved by his Judge and King." (Watchtower, August 15, 1972). ... but the Bible says... "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9, NIV) |

The operatives, who spoke during a meeting with stakeholders in Port Harcourt, also said it would not allow any police officer to go close to the polling units with guns and ammunition. Odesanya said the police command would ensure that hoodlums did not have their way, stressing that the law would punish perpetrators of violence during the exercise. This is one election the police are taking seriously because we want to prove to the world that we are capable of providing security. The police will not give in to such laxity in security again. We will not fold our hands and watch criminals hijack the process. Police won't carry guns and arms, yet you are promising full security. How do you do that? |

Nigerians should stop being gullible! Common sense is indeed not common. Its for people like you that we are where we are today. We cannot continue to be a dumping ground and expect to make progress. I only blame sabotage who will still go ahead to smuggle because of quick returns. And the gullible Nigerians who will buy imported rice. |
