Did anyone watch Wendall and Lomwhe whispering about the nominations? There's no way i'lld believe Vimbai didnt disclose her swapping decision to her fellow country man Wendall. How else could he have known who was swapped for whom. And the fact that he could only point to 'something tells me' as his reason for an information he could only whisper about just gave him away.
And Ernest keeps on being a complete eediot by the day. Imagine the sissy trying to turn Danny against Luclay by narrating a one sided story of their clash earlier in the day. I was kinda impressed with the maturity shown by Danny, even when ernest made reference to the clash between Luclay and Lotus thinking it would infuriate Dan, he remained indifferent to his hapless story.

^^^ Frankly, you're not making much sense. It's either your love for Karen is clouding your judgement or u watched the scene expecting to see world class rappers dissing themselves. I admire Karen just as much as i think you do but fact is she had an opportunity to diss Bhoke in front of the entire continent and she lost out. When housemates where asked to vote for the winner, the votes went unanimously for Bhoke as did mine, I do not think even Luclay voted for Karen. So what on earth r u talking about?

THE AMAKA:
they did kiss and she did spend the night once in his bed. but remember, he made a pact with Ernest to get them to the end, even if it means using and manipulating these girls. so i guess that's what he's doing. Miss P, Bhoke, and Kim = DUMB. they will get played and dumped.
its almost sad that all the people in the heads house that were nominated were girls. when will these dumb broads stop this madness? the only reason why Michael is up for eviction is because Vimbai felt he oversteps his boundaries a lot, but other than that? these females are dumb. I'm sure big brother producers knew what they were doing when they put 16 girls in the house and only 10 guys. a female needs to win this season, but they are not playing the game right. im sure in the final 10, 5 will be boys. DUMB GIRLS.
Interesting stuff. didnt know this.
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by wesley80(m): 8:36am On May 27, 2011
Amaka,
You think BB was seeking to discover a Lil kim when he came up with the street rap contest? You think it was a coincidence that Karen got paired with Bhoke? The street rap contest between Karen and Bhoke was not about rhymes or rapping skills, it was about getting at each other and creating a legitimate means for the two ladies to vent. thats exactly why it was the most anticipated and Bhoke won Karen hands down not necessarily cos she had the better flows -which she actually did compared to karen's- but cos she said more painful dissin words.

About Alex and miss P, its a deep one sided affair with Miss P deep into Alex and mouthing off about it to Kim but apparently, Alex is oblivious of her existence. When confronted by Kim about his love for Miss P, Alex didnt hesitate in saying miss p was imagining things. No be by hips o.
TV/Movies › Re: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by wesley80(m): 6:07am On May 27, 2011
^^^ Which of those guys do you think Karen would fall for? Is it flabby Nick, dumb Ernest, or colourless Danny? She was never attracted to Alex despite the craze for him in the house and she proved it by nominating him with the first opportunity she had. As for Luclay, i'm sure She likes him pretty well even though she claims he's just someone he's comfortable with and they arent having any trouble getting along, come to think of it ; he's the coolest guy in the house! So what da hell are u folks talking about?
Was a bit surprised to watch Bhoke turn Karen inside out during the street rap contest, she hit Karen so bad my girl never recovered till the end of the contest. I guess karen underestimated her.

@Otumfor,
I understand u're just an average Ghanian foool trolling around in a Nigerian forum and incapable of being objective becos your countrywoman is the subject. What if i find Confidence's stretch mark laden boo.bs a turn off? How does that stop her from being the object of your perversious wankin desire? If u're attracted to a woman old enough to be your mother what business of mine is it? I bet u didnt know she's gone under the knife(by her own admission) at least twice herself to keep foools like u gloating did u?

Point taken, But I'lld luv to add that time does not have to be different and the forum does not have to be progressive for Fashola to make a mark as its Head. As the old saying goes, He who chooses to bury his head in the sand like an Ostrich in times of adversity may not only shield himself from disaster but also quarantine himself from opportunities.
Politics › Re: Amaechi New Head Of Governors Forum. Fashola Not Interested. by wesley80(m): 11:22am On May 25, 2011
Gbawe,
You do understand what it means to be a lobby group right? Your argument above is surprisingly premised on the NGF being a kingmaking group - now where is that coming from? Now pls take a look at my first post on this thread again and see what Fashola was saying. My whole point is that the group could be turned into a potent political force and could serve as a political springboard for anyone smart enough to harness its potentials, Judging by Fashola's comments in US, he has recognized that fact but is obviously constrained by the nations politics to aspire to such a position of influence hence he's laying low. Have i communicated YET?
Politics › Re: Amaechi New Head Of Governors Forum. Fashola Not Interested. by wesley80(m): 10:04am On May 25, 2011
Gbawe:
Take your own advice first because you need it far more than I do with how you think I care for anything other than debating views I have. When I stepped up things a notch , with real points, and then ask you to dispute what I write , if you can, you start rambling , like a market woman, about "getting groove back", "tiredness" et al . You should concentrate on real argument or get lost. Am I the one who makes it a point to respond to your posting with contrarian argument that is actually empty when put to the test of logic?

Do you know what the NGF is? Do you know what it is set up to achieve?

Why don't you point us to the section of the Nigerian constitution that recognises the functions and powers of the NGF as a starting point ? If you cannot then you and others should accept that in normal times , with a stable and non-threatened Presidency in place, the NGF is automatically forced to live within the parameters of its existence as , more or less, a lobby group for the articulation of specialist interests. many such group exist and they , and others , cannot go around claiming to have influence they simply do not have by virtue of how their is no legal powers ascribed to their group. The NGF , for the avoidance of doubt, is effectively a lobby group.

You ridiculously continue to point to fashola's praise of the NGF as some endorsement of your argument as to why Fashola may desire to lead it. You simply misunderstand Fashola because he is only praising the notion that Governors can come together to gain a common voice to lobby the Government with on issues that matter like state policing, revenue allocation formula, linkage federal roads etc. Unlike you , Fashola understands what the NGF can achieve for Nigeria in terms of the push for development . He is not looking at things from a political angle. Fashola know that the principles behind the NGF is good but the reality is very different with how it is those who fervently want to preserve the status quo (PDP Governors) who will carry the day by being in the majority. This , at least in part, is precisely why he would not be interested in leading the NGF . Giving the NGF any other role or power than that it is historically limited to , when the polity is not troubled, is conjecture.

I really dont have the stomach to continue arguing with u but for what its worth, let me add that the bolded is a vindication of everyone that has taken a position contrary to yours on this thread. How can you dismiss the powers of a body potentially powerful enough to influence decisions as divisive as State policing? Why would Fashola choose to mouth off abt the NGF in faraway DC? Do u think he doesnt recognize the inherent powers in such a forum? Leadership is what u choose to make of it, a dumb organisation as the NGF could be turned into a powerful political tool by a leader that knows his stuff and if Fashola hasnt realized that then I'm afraid he's just as DAFT as u. Great and ambitious leaders of which Fashola aspires to be one (prove to me otherwise) do not choose to lie with the sheeps, they are out there wrestling the wolves so pointing to the dominance of the NGF by the PDP as an excuse for his backing off is simply escapist.

@Gbawe,
The feeling of tiredness is mutual. I'm just as tired of the unbelievable level of ignorance u've been exuding lately, i think u should be the one doing the 'getting lost' bit though. Why dont u take out some time and just give it a rest for a while? Just get some rest and see if it wld help u get your groove back cos u seem to have terribly lost your way and u're fast loosing the respect u once commanded. Just a piece of advice.
- he whom the god's have decided to make an example of, they first make deaf - forgive me, my literature is terrible but i believe those were the words of Chinua Achebe. A word is enough for the wise.

Christianity Etc › Re: How Many Here Have Read The Bible From Cover To Cover. by wesley80(m): 11:57pm On May 24, 2011
@Beaf
Sorry but there r more contradictions in your little assertion than i think there can ever be in the 66 books of the Bible. Every mans belief has got to have some sort of basis and it doesnt seem like yours does. A couple of yrs ago I fell into deep depression and felt like a humongous failure when i couldnt get my Eck friend converted, so i'm not even going to try having a faith argument here. But one thing i know for sure is that some churches arent really for some inquisitive and questioning folks - been there myself, I had to keep looking until i got the answers i sought and a church that fits me like a glove. The answers u seek r out there but u seem to have already given up your search.
Christianity Etc › Re: How Many Here Have Read The Bible From Cover To Cover. by wesley80(m): 11:20pm On May 24, 2011
@OP,
You mean cover to cover as a religious exercise, to settle ones not necessarily religious curiousity or a chest thumping task?
I cant say I have done so personally but i doubt if there's anywhere in the good book my eyes have not seen. I personally think such an exercise no matter how well intended would easily turn to a vain exercise cos the Bible isnt some storybook or novel. To really 'read the Bible' and understand it, one needs some sort of Revelation knowledge (here's where i think Beaf got lost).

@Beaf,
I'm sorta curious. Sometime back u alluded to the fact that u believe in the existence of witches (correct me if i'm wrong). So now that u think Christianity is phoney(?), do u think Witches are the Ultimate powers out there?

@Gbawe,
In my first post on this thread, i quoted Fashola praising the governors forum in faraway Washington DC. Now would he choose to praise an irrelevant and irresponsible body he has absolutely no interest in at a public forum in faraway United states?
Your penchant for basing your every argument on illogical articles so long as they appear on some news site is worrying to say the least. How does being 'tipped' for a position by 'colleagues' translate to being favorite for a position? Whats even more troubling is your desire to keep arguing illogically when your argument has been proven to be fundamentally flawed. Forgive me for thinking u've had part of your head swapped for Kobojunkie's.
