Just cos a few hundred miscreants are causing mayhem in the streets does not necessarily mean they represent the views of the populace in general. What worries me though is whether the people wld be free enough to come out and express themselves considering whats going on at the moment. It would be naive to think the PDP has no supporters simply because of the actions of a couple of misguided extremists. A state like Kd for example Currently has a Christian PDP Governor so I expect a tough battle between the Northern and Southern parts of the state and considering that the Governor still has a little sympathy among some in the North, I expect him to do well considering he's already sure of the southern votes. It all boils down to how free the people ultimately feel to express themselves so security would be the key all over the north. |
@ekt_bear, Did you ever stop to imagine that probably aliens were shipped in from Niger, chad and probably a legion of underaged voters were registered to make up the huge voter numbers in some states in the North just to lend credence to the belief that the north is more populated than the south? Lets say maybe (just maybe) the financiers of the initial mass movement of aliens across the border were not willing to do same for the elections hence the low voter turnout in the North, or how else do you explain it? The south however had actual resident voters hence the high turnout. Just a theory sha. |
@sbeezy8, u r a typical home bred eejit. The election in Palm beach Florida that brought in George W Bush was flawed wasnt it Olodo? How did that destroy the credibility of the elections in general? Pls tell me you water-brained human specie. |
Some Nigerians can be such massively annoying fools. I'm certain if some of you flapping your mouths here and shouting rigging had just a little less education and had your brains exposed to the desert heat like your fellow dimwits, you'lld be among those carrying machetes and arrows in the streets searching for people to butcher cos your messiah got trounced in an election. This same elections that you cant see anything good in are being hailed by the international media (that ordinarily would jump at a chance to point out flaws in an African country) CNN, BBC name it as a tremendous success and yet we still have made in Nigeria buffoons shouting themselves hoarse over rigging. Nonsense. |
^^^ I'm sure you didnt notice he's won his election abi? Na now you go know wetin dey. |
I consider myself (with all modesty) politically aware, but only discovered the CPC logo was a spear when i saw Pastor Tunde Bakare dancing with one two days ago on Channels Tv. The CPC has zero presence in Delta state and thats a fact! Not even the Muslims here give a damn about him, now compare that to an aged woman in my polling centre that had to be restrained from deafing (slapping) a corp member that refused to accredit her cos she came late. I really do not blame you guys for doubting the figures sha, but the level of support i saw around me on saturday made my head swell with pride especially knowing that the PDP failed woefully in the previous saturday and would most certainly not score a single vote there come 26th. And pls dont even think of mentioning ACN, the opposition party in the state is the DPP so Ribadu was not even in the race as far as people here r concerned. |
Quite typical. Trust the hopeless foools to come to a gunfight bearing machetes and arrows like their Boko Haram cousins. I hope the FG sends in the army quick enough into the streets, those guys obviously do not value lives so the quicker there's someone out there to help them snuff their own lives out the better. |
Perhaps the Mod should consider putting some sort of age restriction on this thread or just start banning these very obvious reta.rds. Whats with all this silly posts about Cows and fishes and Texas? Seems too many cyber imbecyles are determined to prove their foolishness on this thead. |
Watching channels tv and apparently, the VP (Sambo) Lost his polling unit in Kaduna state to the CPC. Same report also says the PDP is doing quite well in Kaduna south but doing poorly in the northern part of the state. I predict a tie or at the very least, the minimal 25% the PDP needs. |
I'm certain all of you running your mouths like broken faucets have verified this story. Or perhaps its more like; who needs verification when its the very honest and forthright mallam thats talking, right? No wonder the courts dismissed his corruption case without even a single hearing. Such a honest and factual man! |
@Fogman, Actually the news was that Gej was negotiating his release and had agreed to trade a couple of thousand barrels of Nigerian oil to the British govt in order to have all the charges dropped. source? Sahara Reports of course. |
And where is INEC in all of these? |
I am Goodluck Jonathan I have no enemies to fight If I can make it, then you can make it My favorite lines. GOODLUCK TO EVERYBODY |
@Pukkah, Not sure who u're referring to but i didnt refute or dismiss the story but only asked for the details and advised that the story be taking with a pinch of salt judging by the penchant of the source for publishing unfounded and ridiculous stories. Reading thru the story, i'm left to wonder what manner of investigative journalism this is. Whatever happened to getting the criminal to rope himself and others in? Why the hurry to go to press with a half completed investigation that leaves more questions than answers? Why would anyone not believe that the journalist fell for some cheap scam? Why the rush to get the reaction of that grossly irresponsible CPC clown cum-spokesman called Odumakin? Honestly, all i see are a whole lot of accusations and a whole lot of denials which could have been avoided if the journalist had been professional enough to go just a step further. This proves absolutely nothing but i'm certain would be just about enough to get out online looneys extremely agitated. |
Already in the paper huh? So have you read it? If you have why not fill us in a little on the details Mr wide mouthed Odumakins Young Buffoon(OYB)? is it not the same 234 that was so dumb it carried a front page report that Gej voted twice during Edo state elections? Why shouldnt i take a report from them with a pinch of salt when it is curiously released the same week it is confirmed that their target is outside the country on health grounds? Pls convince me your head is on its right side up. |
You Shouldav at least waited till you read 'NEXT on Sunday' before posting. The only thing you've succeeded in doing is posting a speculative headline from a reputable crap publishing news organization. Anyone with his head still on its right side up would take this with a pinch of salt. |
Had a forgetable day at the polls today.Got to the station around past eight and waited till around 12pm before the electoral officers showed up and they seemed confused as soon as they stepped out. With just 3 officers to attend to hundreds of voters, there was confusion as to how best to conduct the accreditation.while the corp members wanted to read the entire names out, voters already on queue insisted on one by one accreditation, after about 30 mins of an extremely slow process, a heated debate broke out and it took d intervention of a patrolling platoon of soldiers to restore order after which some order was restored and the officers read out the names(close to a thousand i think) that took some 2 and half hours and at the end, my name wasnt on the list. So after 6hrs of waitin, i'm heading home without voting. Crap. |
Seems to be same old story in Warri as there's still no electoral officer in sight with just over an hour to the end of accreditation, just a couple of police men assigned to the polling centre reassuring us that they r on their way. Still watching and waiting and hoping. |
^^^ oh really you mean that hurts? How bout i say i didnt insult you but was only airing my opinion? You should at least have the decency to admit you misunderstood the president instead of giving excuses and trying to dig in your heels. |
@mcgboye My friend u r yapping. That you work for some inconspicuous big four - crap - endorsing - organization is no excuse to have a pathetic level of comprehensive ability. You lot dont know when to admit the fact that you were failed by a combination of your low reasoning ability and your negative inclined state of mind. Reading thru your second paragraph, i cant help but laugh at your naivety. You obviously do not know heck about leadership and what makes a good leader do you? where was it you said you worked again? And pls do yourself a favour, dont even try to play that 'i'm new around here' card, dont even dare. |
See how easy it is to infect dumb people with foolishness? How can a simple statement made in the context of a country you all silly hypocrites claim to know so much about be drawing this much criticism if not out of pure mischief or perhaps more appropriately; foolishness. The statement by the mischief making OP was quoted out of context as the concluding part pointed to the fact that 'Nigerians are more passionate about elections into Executive positions'. I live in Warri and tyres and stuff were already being burnt in some areas as the electorates felt this was all a deliberate attempt to have them disenfranchised judging by past experiences. Now this was in an election people barely knew the contestants! Now imagine if this had happened in the Governorship election or lets say somewhere like Kano during the presidential elections, can you dumbasses pause for one second and think what the story would have been? Sometimes i find it hard to understand Nigerians, How can some ignorant bunch have the effrontery to claim they know so much when they exhibit such obvious unforgiveable levels of ignorance? SMH. |
@Kliffo, Are you surprised? Thats just the way it is with BB and his entire team. I watched their spokesman ( The duck mouthed Odumakin) on Channels Tv earlier today and judging by his own comments there's no way I'm surprised to read this kind of comments online. His every sentence was an abuse to the ruling party and shamelessly accused them of sabotaging the process to gain some sort of advantage. As he yapped and yapped, i just wondered what kind of candidates would choose to have such an uncouth and foul mouthed fellow as their spokesman, well one doesnt have to look too far to get answers do we? |
Pls put your argument in perspective. What exactly is your grouse here? Was it that letters of invitation were withdrawn after they were sent out or becos no 'credible' opponent is left to debate with the President? If its the former then fair enough they erred, but if its the latter then i've got to say its your emotions getting in the way. |
^^^ Whatever. |
proudly9ja:So does that make the Debate a joke? were the other candidates excluded cos they might floor the Democratic and Republican candidates? |
@OP, U've been shouting yourself hoarse over the non invitation of these candidates and I've been quietly hoping u'lld realize your folly sooner rather than later but as always, it seems u're never going to get to the point of self caution. Now which of these names (Ralph Nader , BobBarr, or Cynthia McKinney) are familiar to u? Probably all i guess, but how many of them did u see standing one on one with Obama and John McCain in a debate? Were they not presidential candidates also? If McCain had decided to stay away from the debate would you expect Obama to be debating with a political non entity like Ralph Nader just cos the American people want a debate? There are lots of unbelieveably ignorant people like u out there even in the US but they channel their objections through the right channels by calling for changes in the system that wld grant an equal footing to all candidates in presidential debates. until that is achieved, it is up to the Debate organizers to use their discretion in deciding who makes the cut and at the moment, Okotie and the others do not so if you want to see them in a debate u can do what was done here www.reason.com/blog/2008/09/26/watch- bob - barr - debate -the-pres or just spare us another display of your ignorance. |
These Dumb Odumakin-like BB Supporters. They never let an opportunity to call names pass them by! |
During the last elections, voters without a voters card but whose names were on the voters register were allowed to vote on presenting a valid means of identification. Now recall that the last voters register had no pictures for voter identification so i expect it to be even easier to vote this time without having a voters card. BTW, so you too one vote? Thot your interests were strictly elsewhere.lol |
