^^^ Thought as much. Mbu onye Aboh though with paternal roots in Ashaka but since my family has lived in Aboh for about 7 generations, we kind of identify more with Aboh and have adopted Aboh roots though we still maintain a strong link with our paternal roots in Ashaka. Nnem bu Nwa di ani Aboh (ekpe), which means just like you, i can vie for 'Iyase(re)' I'm curious though, which of the Umuti's? Aboh people know of two; Umuti a clan within Aboh and another Umuti which is a bit farther away though somewhat recognized as an Aboh clan (not too sure about this though) |
@efisher i believe the calculation was done based on the amount we r supposed to save from the withdrawal of petrol subsidy. These r actually govt peddled figures so they shld be the ones answering, in any case, kero has been unoficially deregulated for months - ask anyone the last time they bought the prdct at the official N50 price. The level of deceit in this saga is just sickening. |

^^lmao!!! |
@OP, Do you really believe your friend that's a 'high ranking member' of your cult of mofos can speak for the OPC? |
^^^ Your suggestion sounds great but seems too vague. Give it some teeth. @Topic, if this is true, then surely it's an outrage! |
Mayflowa:I wld be cheering with you if i'd not expected those buses some eight months ago. I spend 80% of my time in Warri which i believe should be the most polluted city in this country no thanks to Okada's, holding out on an initiative that would save the environment and its populace just to score political points is completely sick. |
Uduaghan has been singing about these buses since last year. It's always been 'marco polo buses will be commissioned in the coming months' since February last year, i'm shocked to hear they are 18 seater buses (except perhaps it was the error of the reporter) and the much hyped marco polo buses are still on the way. |
dasparrow:I think you did splendid in your written Ukwuani, i wonder if you'll understand mine! e bu onye ebey? Ornu kene isuni turu kumani ni ntim. Ome di ka shi e bu onye ishi uka kem, ye bu nde 'ukwuani mili' ele nwene enyi Ugbogloba kpo na ya. |
mbatuku2:Wrong! Threads like this have a purpose and despite the unfortunate antics of intolerant folks, they somewhat fulfil those purposes. If we were to open threads based on emotions, then the entire culture section would be non existent. Your call is akin to someone trying to discourage folks from starting Igbo because they attract the regular ethnic bigots that prey on them or saying Igbo threads should be stopped because some 'find them offensive and cant deal with it'. How does that sound to you For real? There's a sense of belonging that being Nigerian wont give me that i'll find in being Igbo just as there's one being Igbo wont give me but i'll find in being Ukwuani and so on. People just have to grow up and deal with their insecurities, their small mindedness should not be excused. |
Peharps you didnt bother getting to the part of Pastor Adeboye's prediction where he said 'at the end of the year, Nigerians shall say ; all is well that ends well". Surely that was too vague for your atheist arsse. |
And the argument here's what? Subsidy had to go for local manufacturers to be patronized and jobs created? |
Just as a bunch of foools were throwing up bombs and shooting xtians in the name of propagating islam, another bunch of foools are about to start blowing up mosques and shooting muslims in the name of fighting the foools that started this and people think it's the way to go? What makes it worse is that this is about to be done squarely in the name of Igbos! All these seems deliberate and well calculated but if the foools in this thread are too lame to see this, then it's quite unfortunate and i can only pray God saves us from what lies ahead. |
umechuma:Since you're the BLC spokesman, what colour do those Northern muslims paint the mosques they worship in? |
How can you ask 'muslims' in southern Nigeria to leave? Arent there sizeable indigenous muslims in certain parts of southern Nigeria like Edo north, and in the SW states? Makes no sense and I bet this is just another faceless group about to be used by same group causing mayhem in the North. Igbo's should stand up and speak for themselves and not be dragged into something they know nothing about. |
Bliss4Lyfe:Person done slap your ear bring water before? Do i look like your husband you're 'seeing' thru life? Have ever read a complete sentence from Alj harem that wasnt replete with grammatical or spelling blunders? Abi your mouth just dey scratch you. |
Interesting. Masked men spraying bullets and claiming to be Boko Haram always sounded odd to me. The American professor was right afterall. |
Hmmmm, great thinking and very nice idea - in theory at least, So lets do the math. Using the last voter registration exercise i believe about 70million folks above 18 were registered right? So that makes 70,000,000 * N9,000 = My math is a bit rusty but i think that gives about N630,000,000,000 Oh dear! Wasnt this about cutting costs in the first place? Well, look at the bright side; its less than a trillion naira - at least until Nigerians realize this is actually MONEEEEYYYY being shared and begin trooping out to claim their cash vouchers. This idea is so DEAD! |
^^^ Hopefully, you'll get bundled into a strait jacket yourself cos you barely sound sane! |
There's a saying in these parts that says; 'na when motor jam craze man die you go know say him get people'. A loonatic might roam the streets like a total reject begging to be set free from his misery called 'life', but may you not be the unfortunate one to do the society the favour. The outcry against Gej may be unanimous but I just hope people do not mistake the unanimous criticism for rejection. Mistakes and all Gej remains a son of the ND and any harm that comes to him would be an affront on the ND people, surely all these mofos mouthing off in these thread know these dont they? |
A victim of a badly flawed economic ideology and hypocritical praise singers, picking Iweala and making her FM without a strong leash was a terrible mistake he never should have made. |
Fake news. This gist was denied last night on E! except perhaps she gave birth this morn. |
Since its now in vogue to pick on the finance minister, perhaps we should also cast our minds back a bit and recall those self acclaimed all round analyst that chose to ignore the warning signs. |
Very nice and well crafted piece. Unfortunately some were carried away by mere reputation and ignored her obvious antecedents and ideological leanings. I never trusted madam Iweala for a sec and she at least remained true to herself. |
toba:Oga, Purefoy was CNN's LAGOS BASED correspondent with responsibility for the entire West Africa. Not sure what point you're trying to make but his departure would've surely impacted on their reports even if a new person is already in. dustydee:He announced his resignation in a single tweet 2days back but didnt say why though he said something about a 'big project' in Nigeria. |
Their Nigeria correspondent - Christian Purefoy- resigned his job yesterday. I'm not sure why but i think that has sort of affected their Nigeria coverage. |
dvee2:Have to disagree somewhat. I've never really effectively aspired to lead neither would i put myself up for a leadership position, but i've always been chosen to lead. For some strange reasons, people kind of respect my views a whole lot more and seem more willing to trust my leadership than anyone else's. As a person of very few words, the few i utter seem to be loaded and as with most views i've read on this thread, most mistake my few words for arrogance. As my platoon football coach during NYSC, a section labelled me 'Mourinho - the arrogant coach'! It baffled me beyond words and while that perception has always affected my leadership, it's always turned out to be a huge success at the end except during NYSC football of course where we got whacked 4 - 0 in our first and only game, come see frog jump! lol. |
@Zeddicus. We are the same with the issue of "going out with girls who only show interest and not utilising looks better" . I hardly do any form of visiting too.
Same with me, but I seem to have been so blessed to have the very best looking my way, dont know how i would have managed if it hadnt been so! A hardcore introvert here, my Pops called a family meeting on my account over my perceived 'anti-social' behaviour esp at a time i decided to switch careers. I felt so angry i thot of packing my bags and moving back home to spend my holidays alone. If only they could read this. They keep mumbling behind my back and analysing my every move that i cant help but feel self conscious even within my home. They love hearing me speak and appreciate my deep insight, how they also cant appreciate my personality beats me. So glad the hols are over! |
dmainboss:The point is one of those merits certainly isnt a stronger currency as a result of an end to petroleum smuggling. The factors affecting the value of the naira are far beyond petroleum smuggling. |
Abagworo:I'm certainly not searching for differences but these; shut - your - mouth - you - dont - know - who - u - are arguments just tick me off everytime. Why must people deny Bini heritage to be accepted as Igbo? In any case, i'm not sure i have the stomach for an argument over this so i'd be glad to see it pass. Interesting u were in Aboh, i'm actually setting off back to my base at dawn - fuel permitting that is - hope you had a nice time? |
Well, now that we r here i guess there's no dodging it now is there? NRI PRIEST:I can bet the little you know does not include the fact that a good number of Idemili communities trace their origins back to present day Aboh a supposedly Ukwuani community in Delta state does it? Please dont ridicule yourself by asking for a 'link'! The rest of your claims only display deep naivety as nothing you said could in itself prove what you're trying to establish or at the very least lend any sort of credence to any of your supposed proofs. |
lagbaja:The usual Long run - Short run analysis huh? Ever heard the quote 'in the LONG RUN we'd all be dead'? so who's the long run benefit for? The garri I eat does not come from the North, they come from the southern hinterland and are brought to the cities by women sitting atop their sacks in the back of pick - up trucks, if you want to strike the poor in this country, there's no better way to do so than hit the price of garri. While there are redemptive measures that can be put in place to remedy the situation, i'm yet to see anyone out there willing to do so. The general consensus seems to be; let them suffer, in the LONG RUN everything will pan out. I hope we make it that far! |
