^^^ Add to all those the fact that prices of two major staples; rice and wheat are due to increase in the coming days and months as a total ban on rice imports comes into force around March while tariff on Wheat was due to rise this week, then you'd know the budget inflation estimate of 10% was overly conservative.

^^^ The question to ask is, what % of forex demand is accounted for by demand for the petroleum products in question and what % of that arises as a result of false demand (smuggling)? Are they really significant enough to affect the value of the naira? Perhaps you should pause and start dealing with actual figures before daydreaming.

Wrong move, neither the people or the system are prepared for the shock that'll definitely follow. There's absolutely no system in place to check the excesses of marketers and transporters to prevent profiteering, the negative domino effect of such - granted short term - profiteering would lead to a spiral in costs in all facets of our lives with the authorities only rescue package a lame hope everything gets settled in the long run. But would the country and its people survive the certain upheaval set to follow in the short run? Only time will tell. No way I agree with this move, It's totally brazen and unjustifiable.

In any case Ugbogloba's version of history is his and he's entitled to it just as you and I are entitled to ours, your insults have not changed his views. By deliberately treading on the path you chose, you were asking for contrary opinions and that's exactly what you got, your sudden outburst leaves a whole lot to be desired for a self proclaimed Igbo unitarist.

It was serious. Even a NL official(name withheld) was caught in the act.
Why is the criminal being shielded? Isnt this crime serious enough in our cyber society full of sanctimonious hypocrites to warrant some sort of naming and shaming? Anyway, your refusal to name the shameless official only leaves room for us to speculate and few candidates stick out as much as the obnoxious ACN town crier, who judging by how berserk he's gone lately with his anti GEJ rants, wouldnt mind donating his testeecles just to spite the GEJ camp! Of course the first two letters of his three letter moniker are 'O' and 'y' which makes Oy*, surely a no-brainer judging by his daily exhibited level of desperation.
If na lie, name the 'official'. If na true, walker pass!

@Relax 101,
My views on what Ukwuani's speak and who they are are tucked away in both these threads below. My goal has always been ensuring that this thread isnt distilled into another 'Are Ukwuani's Igbo thread' but it's increasingly looking like i'm fighting a lost battle. If you've got a question on Igbo - Ukwuani connection pls post it on either of these threads and i'll give a response as soon as i spot it, but please let the official Ukwuani thread be what it ought to be.

Bia Wesley, I expect Swinginton to come and tell me all this rubbish you are vomitting. If he comes here and says am wrong, I will not hesistate to apologise to him or her. Why do you take up arms against your Igbo brothers or any time any thing Igbo emerges?
I find your choice of words revolting and undeserving of a decent response but i'll give u the benefit of doubt this once.

How is it that you're not ashamed to do a Chyz by attempting to whip up separatist sentiments just to garner sympathy to your argument? I find your attempt classless, Shameful and totally needless and may i suggest you in future stick to issues? Your attempt to justify your unwarranted intrusion is lame and laughable as the poster specifically requested to be thought Ukwuani to 'blend in with his people' not Igbos or Nigerians in general. Your post was a veiled attempt to impress it on the poster and others that they speak Igbo an attempt I find needless, diversionary and capable of not only derailing the thread but also defeating its purpose. I expect anyone with some class to admit the truth or keep mute.

lol. Wesley was clearly in too much hurry to even get my point. Heck, he even called me an Igbo supremacist. grin

Bro, I'm an Ngwa man, which I prefer to being called than Igbo sef.
Well, I can also conclude you were too much in a hurry to get my point. People are touchy about what they call themselves and just cos you and I are comfortable to classify Ukwuani as an Igbo dialect does not mean everyone else is. A thread with a title as this should be respected for what it is and be devoid of the needless banter and supremacist arguments which Andre's comment and yours would inevitably (trust me) lead to. I'm sure the arguments can be saved for a more appropriate thread while Ukwuani people enjoy an avenue to get to know each other and talk about their dialect. Surely i've not asked for too much have i?

Dude, learning Ukwuani, learning Igbo is still the same shyte.

Pls Sharrrap and carry your BS elsewhere. Someone that chose to be thought Ukwuani knows what he wants. You're nothing but a pathetic ethnic supremacist and I suggest you carry your shenanigans to a more appropriate thread ,and may i suggest some of those started by Ileke idi and Alj harem? There are many ways to learn your language but i'm not sure about picking words off the internet. I learnt to speak as a kid where even though we lived in Lagos, the first language i learnt was my dialect and it was same for my siblings - of course both my parents are Ukwuani.  If you ask me i'd say You'd have to hang out with folks that speak a whole lot more if you can. online tutorship isnt my forte but if you've got specific questions, i'd be glad to give an answer.
BTW I'm from Aboh in Ndokwa East.

There is nothing wrong with it, but keshi is actually a terrible footbal commentator. I was alsways cringing when he spoke during the world cup!! Boy was he poor, i'm wondering wht super sport is bringing him back.
Which of the ex-internationals is good when it comes to being a football pundit? Surely Keshi cant be that bad, no? Amokachi with his 'you know, you know' Ikpeba widening his mouth till they almost touch his ears and always managing to replace 'Ch' with 'Shhh' as in 'Shance' and 'Shelsea', the other day I watched Dosu on Supersports, my heart was pounding every time it got to his turn to speak, cos the guy looked like he might burst out crying any minute from intense pressure! We've been managing the others I'm sure we can accommodate another. I'd sure luv to hear what he's got upstairs.

Abeg go one side first jo, this isnt about the GEJ govt but a faulty economic policy with potentially far reaching consequences that is about to be forced down our throats in the name of making our lives better. I have NEVER spoken in favour of Privatization (at least not in the form our policy makers seem to favour) neither did I join you lot in hailing Iweala's appointment cos from her antecedents, her leanings were obvious, you dont get to the level she got without becoming a Western Capitalist robot. So honestly, i dont know what you're talking about.
Politics › Re: How We Will Spend Subsidy • 2nd Niger Bridge + Lagos To Get Biggest Refinery etc by wesley80(m): 9:30am On Dec 20, 2011
This surely isnt convincing enough and I totally believe Iweala's economic team can and SHOULD do much better if they are to win this debate, only the most optimistic and already predisposed would be swayed by this.
Did I read about the EAST - WEST road in that piece? The Frigging East - West road? Good lawd! Wasnt that supposed to be delivered at the end of 2013? Havent we already spent enough billions on it to deliver the project? Why is this being pointed to as a benefit of subsidy removal? Are we talking about this same road or another;
sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/aug/11/national-11-08-2011-008.html

Surely those were not the 'greenfield refineries' mentioned were they? So this was the big friggin plan? SMH
And how does these rail/road/rubbish projects compensate a man (already scrounging) whose cost of living is about to rise by %50? It would eventually? Now that's BS escapist Voodoo / trickle down economics that would eventually shackle even more people, surely asking for some immediate gratification isnt out of place. And what could be more escapist than listing of figures to be 'shared' between the LG's and states? Are these guys these stuupid? Isnt this whole mess about govt's incompetence in the first place? Why dig up a hole to fill up another hole for God's sake. These people do not seem to appreciate the scale of the sacrifice they are demanding Nigerians make, if this is about making life better why not engage the states and LG's and come up with a concrete blueprint that cuts across all levels? Why draw up yours and be prepared to throw the rest to the gluttonous dogs at the state and LG's? Isnt this serious enough to warrant a law that would compel all levels of govt to be prudent in the mgt of expected savings? Do these guys realize its our collective a$$es on the line here? One wrong move and this whole country implodes but our Harvard trained genius seems far too hopelessly and irredeemably in love wit statistics to realize the issue isnt GDP, NI, GNP, BNP or BS but people, People and PEOPLE. This is totally embarrassing.
