naijaking1: Yes, myopic, because you couldn't free yourself from primitive ethno-regional bias. The first step towards correcting many of the chronic ills of our nation is for some controlling agency to at least take responsibility/blame for it. I know you may not understand, but until an official wakes up in the morning to apologize to Nigerians for the power failure of the previous night, we're certainly going nowhere. Instead of Nigerians to accept blames, they form a circular firing squad and shift the buck around, with the result that at the end of the day, nothing changes, nothing improves, and nobody learns anything. You certainly have a right to voice your own personal opinion, but you have no right to convert this forum into an all out Yoruba promoting platform. Over my 6-7 years affiliation with N/L, I have seen moderators come and go, but you my friend is one of the most rabid anti-non-yoruba moderators ever to walk the earth. The result is that the quality of discussion(intellectual)in the forum has continued to decrease as the Dayokanus, Bluethoots, Eko-Iles, oduasoljas of this forum have increased. As a result of this, reactionary ethnic promotions and bias has become the order of the day for other tribes in Nigeria, especially Igbo contributors. Also, you seem to confuse yourself as an ACN operative vs N/L moderator.
Finally, why do you think it's more important to make GEJ resign than to ask the opposing muslim Boko Haram operatives to give peace a chance. You have never hidden your disdain for anything and anybody who is not your own tribal stock, and that's a big shame. So, if GEJ resigns, then you'll rather have Tinubu or Aregbasola as president ? Hmm, very weighty allegations i must say. OAM4J has always come across as a very decent fellow unlike his contemporaries including our Poster of the year - who thankfully seems to have gone on self imposed exile, the small price for a successful campaign of deception - who constantly emit the pungent odour of unapologetic closet bigots. I've however found the comfort in which the worse tribalists on this board have been accommodated startling. |

OAM4J: No, no one has told me I've failed. It does not matter if you think so, it will only be your respected opinion, until the owner of the site thinks so.
So wait until Admin complains and holds me responsible for frequent tribal jibes and the ever increasing number of bigots in this section and see if I will open my mouth like GEJ to accept the blame. Then you can advice me to resign. No one has told Jonathan that he's failed either (at least non one that actually matters!) it doesnt matter if 99% of those in the SW and North think so. Most of the criticisms he's faced have been extremely naive and in most cases than not, fuelled by sectionalism and some sinister desire to pick on a President perceived as being 'weak'. Wait till your duly elected National Assembly passes a vote of no confidence on his leadership and his cabinet follows suit and see if he'll require OAMJ4 to tell him about resignation! |
Politics › Re: Blame Me Also For Failed Hostage Rescue – Jonathan by wesley80(m): 10:57am On Mar 16, 2012 |
OAM4J: He should take the blame as the C in C for the security lapses in all Boko Haram bombings too and do us a favour by tendering his resignation letter. It is an honorable thing to do. You should take the blame as the Mod for the frequent tribal jibes and ever increasing number of bigots this section has been continuously sprouting and do us all a favour by tendering your resignation letter. It would be most honourable, or does anyone need to tell you you've Failed? How do I sound? |

Why not apply to IMSU so maybe you can make a 2.1 and then go on to make a first class at the Law school like that pretty Igbo girl from that 'unprestigious' state university? Heard they've got great lecturers over there. If its name you want then why not just apply to Oxford or Harvard? Ok I get it now, you just want to brag to your co Jambitos that you attend Nigerias 'Premier' university and you believe thats worth One full year of your life abi? Goodluck BTW how old are you? |

Is there any other brand of sugar available in the market? Whoever owns this st louis must be making a killing, this brand of sugar seem to have had a semi monopoly ever since i can remember, they havent even bothered to change the packing over a period of close to 30years (i stand corrected) I cant recall how many times i've had to chase out those smelly tiny nimble ants from those blue packs that are always inadequate in doing the one thing they ought to do best; keeping ants out. I hope this forgery wakes whoever are the owners up, some innovation is overdue. |

Crime › 3 Months Pregnant Afolake Awoyemi Gives Birth To 25 Pellets Of Heroin At Jfk Airport! by wesley80(op): 2:56pm On Mar 05, 2012 |
A woman who claimed she was three months pregnant ‘gave birth’ at JFK Airport in New York – to 'a stash of heroin'. Nigerian national Afolake Awoyemi caught the attention of a U.S. Customs and Border Protection inspector as she waddled off an Air France flight from Paris. The 42-year-old, wearing a loose-fitting garment, was asked if she was pregnant, and she allegedly replied that she was expecting, Homeland Security special agent John Moloney stated in a complaint filed in Brooklyn Federal Court. Destination: When Awoyemi arrived at JFK airport she attracted the attention of a customs inspector However the inspector noticed that Awoyemi apparently appeared nervous and so she was taken for a pat-down search, according to the New York Daily News. During the search a bulge was allegedly found in Awoyemi’s groin area and so officers went ahead with a partial strip-search,
When she removed her undergarments, pellets containing brown powder allegedly began to drop from her groin area, which were later tested positive for heroin. She was then taken for X-rays, which revealed the woman had more heroin pellets stashed in her intestinal tract, officers claim. She allegedly passed about 25 pellets of heroin by the end of the day, using a special high-tech commode that sanitises the incriminating evidence, which customs officials refer to as the ‘Drug Loo’. She was also administered a pregnancy test, which revealed she is not expecting.
Awoyemi, who was recovering in hospital, is due to be brought before a federal magistrate today. The drugs she was alleged to have been harbouring could have a street-value of around $20,000. While she had apparently swallowed just 25, experienced drug mules have been known to swallow up to 200 pellets, which a spokesman suggested indicates Awoyemi may have been on her maiden voyage. Politics › Googles New Intrusive Privacy Policy ; 5 Steps To Staying Private by wesley80(op): 10:14pm On Mar 01, 2012 |
03/01/2012 Google just rolled out a streamlined privacy policy that consolidates your personal information for use across various Google-owned services. Despite some criticism and accusations of an Orwellian Big Brother scenario, the updated policy's goal, says Google, is "to create one beautifully simple and intuitive experience." There's no denying that the new policy doesn't make it any easier to stay off the digital grid, so here are some things you can do to minimize what Google knows about you. 1. Disable automatic log-in. If you're perpetually logged into your Google account, you might have enabled a password-storing feature in your browser, or at some point selected the Google Accounts option to stay signed in. On the Accounts Preferences page, you can disable this feature. If you still seem to be automatically signed in each time you surf the web, you can go into your browser's privacy settings and clear all cache and cookies. 2. Opt out of ads based on interests and demographics. On Google's Ad Preferences page, you can edit or remove the interests Google has determined for you or opt out entirely. You can also find mild entertainment (and, if you're an optimist, relief) in the fact that Google's inferred demographic information about you is often wildly incorrect. 3. Use an anonymizing tool. Companies like Anonymizer offer a variety of services to keep your personal information secure by routing all your online activity through an encrypted tunnel. A yearly subscription costs $79.99, though the company does offer a free two-week trial and a 30-day money back guarantee. There are also free alternatives like TOR. (PHOTOS: A History of Google Doodles) 4. Enable private browsing mode. Most browsers feature a "private" mode, where any online activity won't be tracked. (If you haven't yet abandoned all Google products, the company's Chrome web browser offers "incognito mode." This means the browser will not store search history or cookies, which house data such as sites you visit, preferences and login information. According to Google, this method is particularly useful "if you're planning a surprise birthday present or party," but it could also help keep your information off the record. 5. Turn to resources other than Google. It's tough to imagine, but there ARE search engines and other mobile and web services completely unaffiliated with Google. Ixquick, for example, calls itself "the world's most private search engine." DuckDuckGo also vows it "does not collect or share personal information. That is our privacy policy in a nutshell." And if you're skeptical about Gmail, there are always plenty of email alternatives, though your kids or coworkers might mock you for using outdated providers. Above all, be aware and educate yourself. If you're still fearful or at least a bit dubious about Google's privacy policy, you can read the complete text here. time.com/details/topstories.rbml?guid= http://techland.time.com/2012/03/01/googles-new-privacy-policy-six-tips-for-minimizing-your-online-exposure/&full=1 |
Christianity Etc › Security Breach May Lead To Domestic Plane Crash - Tb Joshua by wesley80(op): 9:37pm On Mar 01, 2012 |
The man of God has warned Nigerians flying local airlines in the country to be very prayerful while boarding any flight as, according to him, God has shown him an imminent plane crash.
Prophet Joshua said the crash will not be caused by technical fault but by a security breach.
In his words: “The plane crash, if not averted, will involved one of… Nigeria’s local flights. I wish to therefore advise Nigerians to pray zealously so that the country will not experience such a disaster, which might claim the lives of many government officials.
As part of measures to avoid being a victim of the crash, people who want to travel by air should always recite Psalm 91 before boarding any aircraft in order to ensure safe land.” http://www.hintsonlinemagazine.com/t-b-joshua-predicts-suicide-bombing-nigerian-aircraft/ Reading Psalm 91 surely isn't a difficult undertaking is it? Assuming u have a bible that is! |
