I honestly don't always support making financial commitments such as paying tuition / accommodation fees, or purchasing air ticket etc, before getting TRV. It is safer to show proof that the money has already been given to you; either by a deposit made to your Nigerian account in the name of your sponsor (which will be reflected both in your statement of account and your sponsor's) or by a deposit made to an account (in your name) for you in Canada by your sponsor, with proofs.
PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES DOES NOT GIVE MORE WEIGHT TO YOUR APPLICATION, except if it is a condition for your admission (I.e. the school gave you a conditional admission, upon payment of tuition or acceptance fee).
It is true that payment of tuition fee may show a little bit of commitment on the part of the applicant or the sponsor, but it is not a determinant at all. We've had lots of people on this thread in the past that paid tuition yet were refused visa, and in fact if you check the application guide, it was directly discouraged.

However, if you insist, I think it's good you pay full tuition fee for a year.

1. The exact reason(s) the VO ticked.
2. Your tuition fee
3. Duration of program
4. The type of accommodation and your monthly estimate
5. The figures you provided in your application form; for room and board, tuition, others, total funds available for study.
6. Did you prepare/submit any budget? What was your total estimate?
7. Who is your sponsor? Did you establish a relationship with your sponsor?

The truth is, under normal circumstance, an soa of 5.5m is enough to get u a TRV. I stand to be corrected though. According to CIC, an applicant is expected to have at least 10k cad which is about 1.6m for living expenses for a year excluding tuition. Probably you quoted more than you had or the VO was not convinced your sponsor would sponsor you or there was a lump sum. Something must be wrong.
so try and ans those questions. You don't have to be Dangote's child or Davido's brother to school in Canada, else people like us wouldn't get a chance at all.

that's good. I did the same, but CIC requested for medical exam, went to the medical facility, where I did my medicals, and I was told to pay 14k, as the iME of my previous app is different from the current one. Had no choice, I paid 14k. But the consolation is, it was successful.

hmmm........ one of my cousins who actually was a victim of refusal after medical passed reapplied on 31st Oct. He only uploaded the medical request form he earlier got to the medical section cos he applied online. two days ago CIC updated his medical to medical passed. I believed CIC must have seen his earlier medical details cos he was worried may be he shld have requested the clinic to send him an acknowledgments of medical done in order to upload.
Still praying fervently for his pp request........so I pray for all those expecting passport request youshall get it this week in JESUS name. If you believe this say a big amen!!!!

Hmmm..... X3 of my cousins were recently victim of refusal after medical passed. Funny enough they had thought their application was perfectly OK but the last one cos they were 4 in numbers who had thought his application wasn't properly packaged got his Trv approved yesterday and he didn't pay any tuition deposit neither did he included his personal statement of account. Though our big uncle provided his account with a balance of 13m. Wonders shall never end!

Hello God is at work my sister got her visa today without medical mail, no upfront medical with virgin passport. The only mail gotten is ur document has been dispatched thinking she was denied but God did it am having hope on my God show ur self. Pls did it mean she will do medical when she get to canada.

There is no longer a guarantee of visa even after medical passed. The VO isnt convinced enough about your intention to study. I think you should focus on the bolded to prove that you are genuinely going to study..lets have a look at your profile. Are u a graduate going for a diploma? Also your brother being a citizen and ur sponsor might not go down well with them VOs, they might think you wont come back to Nigeria.

As for appeal? I dont think that is possible, you can just re-package and re-apply.

Yeah Canada and USA automatically share visa applicant information (it has been repeatedly discussed on the thread) so not disclosing a refusal from the other embassy can result in a swift refusal.

As per the additional reasons, was this your cousin's first Canada study TRV application? Either way, share his/her profile, i.e. UG or PG, course & program he/she is going for in Canada, what he/she has been doing in Naija since his/her last education qualification/degree. Also, did he/she submit an SOP?

The next best thing is to evaluate why this application failed and then reapply at a future date after having fixed all the loop holes.

He's actually going for x3yrs diploma in business admin marketing at Seneca college. Yes he has excellent job without any space in his edu n occupation.

Cousins app was delayed after medical passed cos he had previous refusals at US embassy and he failed to indicate it on his im1294 while other reasons were added like travel history, length of stay, purpose of visit, personal asset n financial status. Pls what could be done at this point?

Having paid, available dates will be shown in form of calendar. Available dates will be highlighted. Its left for you to select whichever dates you want. Therefore no one can actually tell you anything about availability of dates.

Yu shld HV been consistent with your DS-160 details as long as you actually filled it yourself. U shld have mentioned 10days instead of 7days. Ds-160 is all the vo need and as long as you are the one who actually did the fillings you shld HV a personal copy but in your case I guess anxiety must have set in. Lady G has explained it all. I don't think so cos yu have use a ds-160 no to scheduled a date except yu contact the CGI to help yu out

Once yu have submitted your form with confirmation, theres no way you can correct the mistake.

My cousin's CIC account has just been updated to medical passed. Pls how long will CIC request for his passport also my second cousin did his medical a day before his own and his CIC acct is yet to be updated.
