With the present situation of things going by the economy now and then when Emefiele was the governor of CBN it is morally wrong for whatsoever reason to continuously have Emefiele behind bar. For punishing Nigerians with the printing of new money I think he has suffered enough.
Emefiele held the strength of naira for over 8 years of Buhari that it only depreciated to half it's value.
Remember this happened between 2015 to 2023. Between June till now naira is about losing twice it's value.
In a sane country people will protest to have Emefiele back.
It is a shame that Emefiele was thrown behind bar when naira was 730 to a dollar. Naira presently is having a free fall against the dollar and Emefiele when eventually released could meet the naira exchanging at #3000 to the dollar.
There is no justification to have Emefiele behind bar going by the present reality.
