Gosh! Yorubas from Benin and Togo who entered Nigeria without passport/visa are illegal immigrants. Their stay is not supported by any official document. They came individually, not because Afenifere pursued a visa waiver for them. Immigration officials often raid and deport them at will. This is different from what the Miyetti Allah dude is saying...that herdsmen don't need visa to enter Nigeria. Nobody said Yorubas from Benin or anywhere else don't need it. Dude, you are too dense to be reasoned with. I'm done trading issues with you. Peace. Perkins2018: Yorubas in Benin and Togo have been entering Nigeria without visa. They are many in Lagos and Ibadan.
This visa on arrival is not limited to Fulani. Igbos in other part of Africa can start coming in now. |

Perkins2018: How many southerners get visa before entering Benin, Togo, Ghana, Niger etc? Why the fixation on Fulani because you hate the president?
Mind you, I hate the excesses of the Fulani myself but we must be objective and stop politicizing every move of the government. Kenya also practice visa on arrival. Look at it like this: Ọhaneze ndigbo announces that Igbos from other countries don't need visa to enter Nigeria (there are Igbos from Guinea, Gabon etc) Afenifere makes similar announcements concerning Yorubas ( Yorubas are found in Benin republic, Togo etc) Are you getting the picture? Isn't this a recipe for disaster? While other ethnic groups need passports for identification, what makes a particular ethnic group exempt from such security protocol? Answer: Because their grand patron is the president and so, they feel they are above established international codes guarding multilateral relationship among countries. To prevent chaos, everyone needs an international passport for identification before being allowed into any country. That's the standard protocol. Otherwise, all that's needed for anyone from Sudan, Gabon, Guinea, Eritrea, Somalia or any other country is to identify as a Fulani, and be allowed entry into Nigeria. Seem like you don't realize there are Fulani herdsmen from outside west African countries (ECOWAS) If Fulani herdsmen are not supposed to identify themselves upon entry, it means herdsmen from outside ECOWAS are free to stroll into the country. Do you get it now?
This isn't about being emotional. It is rational. And if you still don't get it, yours is a lost cause. |

Perkins2018: I know a lot of people who travel to Benin republic without even having a Nigerian passport. Very true. But you also know that it is illegal to do so. If you decide to do it that way, it means you are also ready to bear the consequence, in the event one gets unlucky. |

Perkins2018: Hatred and illiteracy is your problem. Fulani don’t need visa to enter any west African country just as igbos, Yoruba, Edo etc don’t need visa to go to any west African country.
Your hatred may just consume you. True, you don't need visa to enter any west African country. But you need to present ECOWAS passport for identification at whatever port of entry you (air, land, sea) you choose. Do Fulani herdsmen present passports for identification? The answer is obvious. Passport checks are put in place to identify non nationals and to keep records of movements. This is for security purposes. We are not in the Stone Age anymore. |

I stay in my elder sister house right now cos I moved in last year December but have met with an agent who promise to get me a good apartment soonest. To cut my story short, my sister has a house girl/lady which was so caring to me. Am 29yrs and still single not that have never dated before, just that it never work well while I was in school. The house maid of my sister is 25yrs and a school cert holder but due to some reasons she cudn't further her education but still willing if she can get help. She's a pretty, caring, very neat and also intelligent. And my sister also take her as a sister not an house help. Lastly weekend, my sister came back from an invent and saw me and her catching some fun (I mean gisting and playing games) in the house and she got provoked. She called me in and ask what is the relationship between me and her but I told her the basic truth that though we are just friends but wish I cud date her and my sister shouted on me NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not even when am alive.
Now I keep asking my self some question; Is house help not a human being? Is it a crime in dating/marry them? Is it a crime for a graduate to marry non graduate/illiterate ?
Please help a brother cos am in love with her. Thank you. Just sad that at 29, you don't seem to have developed a mental maturity commensurate with your age. If you haven't by now realized why your sister is right not to support your annoyingly puerile behaviour, then you're much slower than envisaged. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Prophet Muhammad Come After Jesus by whirlwind7(m): 2:21pm On Jan 04, 2020 |
tallfish145: Why Did Prophet Muhammad Come After Jesus?
Short Answer: Mostly because the true message of Jesus was lost with time. Jesus and Muhammad taught the same basic idea: worship God alone, be a good person, be just and generous and helpful and stand on the side of the oppressed. But over time, his message was corrupted by people like Paul. It’s the Paulified version of Christianity people practice today that’s the issue here. Prophet Muhammad came to correct the ideas spread by people who weren’t actually following the true teachings of Jesus.
Jesus: For the People of Israel Only. Muhammad: All Mankind
While Jesus (peace be upon him) was sent specifically to the Israelites, Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent to all humanity.
According to the Gospels,
“But he [Jesus] answered and said, ‘I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.’” (Matthew 15:24)
In contrast, the Quran declares the universal message of Islam.
The Quran says what means:
Say: “O people! surely I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, of Him Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; there is no god but He; He brings to life and causes to die; therefore believe in Allah and His Messenger, the illiterate Prophet who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him so that you may walk in the right way.” (Quran 7:158)
Did Jesus and Muhammad Teach the Same Thing?
Yes and no.
It is true that both Jesus and Muhammad, as well as all true prophets from Adam, Noah, etc. (peace be upon them all), carried essentially the same message.
That message is Islam—monotheism and submission to the will and guidance of God.
However, the details were not identical, but varied to cope with the time and nation addressed.
Also, while the original message of Jesus was distorted and deviated away from monotheism, the message of the final Prophet Muhammad was to stay valid and preserved to the end of time.
While Jesus’s emphasis was on moral salvation and reform of the individual, with only a few rulings on marriage and divorce, etc., the final message of Islam brought a detailed comprehensive code dealing with all aspects of human life.
This includes personal, family, social, economic, political, and international issues.
Jesus stressed purifying the soul; Muhammad was sent to build and maintain the model: individual, society, and nation.
The Original Message Of Jesus
Jesus, a human monotheistic prophet, repeatedly called people to worship God and warned those who ascribed partners to Him:
Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and Him Only.’ (Matthew 4:10)
“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One.’” (Mark 12:29)
Jesus emphasized his own humanity:
[As it is, you are determined to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God.] (John 8:40)
[By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear.] (John 5:30)
Jesus never claimed to be God, or part of a God. He never mentioned Trinity, nor did he appoint a church to entrust itself with reshaping the faith and re-inventing the law.
The deviation started with Paul and some others—leaders, clergy, and philosophers—centuries after Jesus’s departure.
Christianity Today= Paulianity
Christianity as we know it today was re-formulated with its concepts of:
– Trinity, centered around the prophet Jesus who was thenceforth called God, begotten son of God – The sacrosanct Church of Christ, talking and enacting laws in the name of God – The story of crucifixion and resurrection from the dead – Original sin and atonement
Read for example, according to Paul (NIV):
“At once he [Paul]began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.” (Acts 9:20)
“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel…” (2 Timothy 2:
Pauline Christianity Originated in Pagan Beliefs
Most of these distortions were borrowed or coined from earlier pagan creeds.
Close similarities can be found between this Pauline Christianity and Mithraism, Buddhism, and ancient Egyptian polytheist creeds.
During the seventh century CE when Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent, there were only a few groups of followers of the original message and teachings of Jesus.
The Injeel revealed to Jesus no longer existed in any form, as was the case of the Tawrah of Moses before him.
They were replaced with the Old and New Testaments written by different human authors selected and sanctioned as holy by the Church ecumenical councils, several centuries after the departure of Jesus.
It was high time then to re-establish the eternal guidance of the Creator to all humanity, but this time in a final eternal form, through the Glorious Quran and the detailed teachings and living model of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Jesus prophesied the coming prophet whose universal message will stay forever:
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— ” (John 14:16) You made a lot of hogwash here. So, Jesus was sent for the Jews, and Muhammed for all mankind? Seem you are yet to get the info that most Jews don't even believe in Jesus being the Messiah? Oh, so apostle Paul brought a corrupt version of the Gospel of Christ? Such huge allegation without an iota of evidence to support it? I shouldn't engage the likes of you. All the same, just wanted to let you know that I read the first few paragraphs of your crap, and I didn't go any further. What's the use? |

I don't want you to see me as a Discriminator, but if you see me in that way fine. Please Bros, have you ever read your Holy Bible from Genesis to Revealation? If you haven't, please do. You Christians don't have one believe unlike we Muslims that have. We pray five times daily, not six times. We perform thesame type of ablution, we recite thesame suratul fathia, we have only one type of salamo and so on like that. Islam is performed in only one way throughout the world and we only have one type or version of Holy Quran not you Christians that have different types and versions of the Holy Bible. In one version of the Holy Bible I read sometimes ago, there's a verse that support tithe and there's also another verse that against tithe. And another thing is that Redeem cannot worship in CAC, CAC cannot worship in Four Square, The Lord's Chosen cannot worship in Methodist, Methodist cannot worship in Cherubim & Seraphim, Cherubim & Seraphim cannot worship in Jeova Witness, Jeova Witness cannot worship in Christ Embassy, ECWA cannot worship in Emmanuel Church. What's the meaning of this? Are you not calling thesame Jesus Christ the Son of God? It shows that your religion has been rasmatized. We Muslims can pray in any Mosque we see around us; be it NASFAT, Quareeb, Nawairudeen, Ansarudeen, etc. There is still more to say. I want you to quote me right or wrong here... Shove your Islam down ur scrawny ass, son. Islam is one, right? Which is why Sunnis are bent on wiping out Shiites, not just in Nigeria, but worldwide. I've been to islamic countries in the Arabian Gulf, and I've observed how they ill treat Iranians (who are majority Shiites) Same Islam that northerners won't worship in mosques where the Imam is Yoruba. I've seen that happen in Lagos. The bible may have different versions, but that doesn't change the message. They are mere use of English dictions and syntax to make it easier to comprehend. I used to think that Islam has no disagreements, has no differences in set beliefs and are homogenous worldwide. How wrong I was! Sure, Christianity has it's shortcomings, but Islam is by no means better than it. I don't need to go into Islamic extremism and terrorism, with the carnages it has caused worldwide. Boko Haram is there next door to remind you how beautiful and appealing the religion of peace has been. |

dannyla: I opened a new account to remain anonymous. This story is a bit long but pls bear with me.
I met this man almost 2yrs ago at an event a friend invited me to. The next week, he collected my number from my friend and called me, we began talking from there and agreed to go on a date. He proposed marriage to me on the first date which I rejected. I told him that I can't marry outside my church and from the little I've heard from him, our life dreams differ. I decided to cut him off from that day and I stayed away for about 3months. Meanwhile he got my friend to introduce him to my sis, mum and another friend who happened to be from his place, I'll call her Grace. He made them all aware of his intent towards me and my stand and asked for their help to change my mind. Grace became his biggest ally and convinced me to have another date. He asked that we date for a while and see if we can work out our differences. During the date I noticed he has a very hot and quick temper and he listens to gossip a lot so I do tell Gracethat I don't see a future with him but he was too persistent, Grace always had words of encouragement and considering the fact that for some strange reason, it was mainly married men always approach me for a relationship with stories of how they got married to a wrong woman and they are or are almost divorced, dating a single man with no kids was very tempting and I decided to give it a try.
He asked me to tell him everything about me so there are no secrets between us and I did. Starting from secondary school to that day, I told him everything, from my first kiss, the colleague who tried to rape me, my ex who lied about his marital status and disvirgined me etc. he did the same too and I felt a burden roll off my shoulder.
Few days later I began to notice changes in him especially towards my business. I thrive in a male dominated industry in a ratio of 9men to 1woman. He asked me to show him the pictures of my colleagues which I did, he also asked if they make passes at me which I said is almost inevitable but my boundaries are clear and rigid.
Fast forward to now. I noticed that whenever I drop my phone, he goes through it. Facebook, sms, WhatsApp etc. He even picks my call when I'm not close to the phone. He asked me about a certain colleague who cracks dirty jokes like how I rushed to get married (I told him I'm already married). I didn't think much about it.
He later began to complain about my partners and how I'm sleeping with them like the prostitute I am, called me an unrepentant liar, unsubmisive, manipulating etc. Said he regrets asking for my hand at all and he's just waiting forthe day he'll catch me redhanded so he can dump my sorry a*s. I told him to end it now cus I'm fed up, family came in and I later found out that Grace has been telling a lot of lies against hoping to get him for herself as well as hate filled advises from some aggrieved friends who felt ladies from my tribe are no good and just there to "chop money". Apologies were said and received and we continued.
Another time I visited him and we had an argument, he gave me several heavy knocks on my head and I developed a headache and began to insult him which resultedin more heavy knocks. I broke up with him and left. Later my mum called him to ask why he laid his hands on me, he denied it swearing with his life. Said I insulted him and he lost his temper and insulted me back that he's sorry. He began to drop messages everywhere and I eventually gave in.
3rd incident happened on our way back from an event. He saw a message from a colleague he told me to stop doing business with cus he feels the man has his eyes on me which is totally not true. He flared up, stopped the car and was even threatening to beat me up. I came down from his car and stood by the roadside. He came down too and gave me the insult of my life in full public view and glare and told me to enter the car which I refused. I had no money on me and had to beg a stranger for money. By that time he was coming back, he quickly took a picture of both of us and sent it to everybody of how he caught me in the act with my lover on the road. He called me and said that if he must marry me, I must break my business sim card and look for a wife friendly occupation or sit at home.
He later apologised over it. Meanwhile he and my sis don't flow as before as he once called her a prostitute.
I want to call it quits but everyone around me feels it's a mistake and he is saying everything out of anger and if I'm patient enough, he will change completely.
I must admit that he has changed alot since we met but the progress compared to the timeframe and the heat I face everyday is nothing to write home about.
He loves me to a fault and I don't know if I can find someone who loves me like him but his other attitude is sniffing life out of me. Do I stay or quit? Thanks for reading and pardon any typos I didn't feel like giving any advice because I believe you have already gotten tons of it already. But then, being a male and married, I felt I should just drop this single line and move on: If you marry that dude, you'll surely end up miserable, or much worse.Men don't change their temperament after marriage. No ma'am. Doesn't happen. Won't happen. Save yourself and flee. The state you reside in itself is a huge ocean with thousands of eligible males. Dump this one and free yourself. If anyone from any part of Nigeria were to travel from Lagos to Onitsha, he will see what the issue is. Since you have been unfortunate not to leave your mud house with its thatched roof, your tiny, almost non-existent mind cannot process real life events around you. Since you are unfortunate not to own a car, or even board a public transport from Lagos or the SW to the SE, you do not see what the problem is. A rational mind will ask himself, why on Earth is there up to 60 check points within such distance? You know what's funny? Your laying emphasis on the statement that PH airport is meant for Igbos as well. Like, if you recite it a thousand times, you as well as others who hear it, might begin to believe it See, if PH becomes the natural substitute for Enugu, nobody would bleat so loud and implore Igbos to use it. Igbos would naturally flock to use the facility in droves. You can't beat a natural winner. So, be steadfast enough to fully convince yourself. Igbo passengers will come soon. Typing in pains and anger? Me? Well, aren't you the conductor hustling for Igbo passengers? Nah, I'm fine. Actually, I'm copacetic. I don't get emotional when I'm being matter of fact. Keep hustling for more Igbo air traffic passengers. Christmas is around the corner. kampari: Long lines of typing in pain, anger and tears is not gonna help you here bro. The airports in Enugu, Owerri are all more or less state's air strips, not even regional. You better start facing reality.
No one is stifling your air strip, because ab initio it was not fit to serve due to so many deficits and dilapidated runway. Good a thing the runway reconstruction has begun but how many months if not years that it will take is still largely unknown.
Port Harcourt international airport is the only truly international airport servicing the eastern region(SE and SS).
Igbos are now using Port Harcourt international airport for oversee travels instead of going to Abuja or Lagos.
Port Harcourt international airport is our own(igbos inclusive). |

kampari: Why are you angry over nothing? Are you the one that pays for air ticket of passengers? Why do you think you can dictate to anyone on the choice of their airport?
Mind you, PH is part of eastern region. Don't be deceived by "SE and SS" coinage.
Port Harcourt international airport is for eastern region. I am not "angry over nothing" I agree I'm not purchasing tickets for anyone or dictate what airport to use. Yes, Igbos aren't responsible for the SE and SS appellation. But the majority of people from the SS absolutely welcome it. It serves their purpose and it helps them argue their point of them being different from Igbos. Thats their cup of shyte. As for the airport, let it serve the people from Rivers, Bayelsa and adjoining states. It belongs to them. Let them enjoy it until it gets redundant from disuse. The typical Nigerian story. True blood Igbos know it isn't for them. We have our airport at Enugu. Owerri would have served when Enugu was closed down (just like Kaduna served when Abuja airport was closed down for repairs) but a bitter FG wouldn't have that. Trying to stifle Enugu and divert our traffic to PH is just another shenanigan from the FG. We expect that. After all, we as Igbos no longer expect fair treatment from FG. Ain't crying over that. Just being real. As Igbos, you don't tell us where to use and what to do. Granted, some will use PH airport out of convenience. That's their prerogative. Broadly speaking, discerning Igbos would wait to use either Enugu or Owerri airports. You can't keep depriving people and expect them to go along with it indefinitely. Power is transient. This FG and it's anti Igbo agendas will pass. But Igbos shall remain. We always will. FYI: the Uli airstrip in Anambra was the busiest airfield during the war, despite the regular bombardment from FG. Till this day, no airport in Nigeria has come close to the air traffic record it set during war time. That should tell you a lot. |

kampari: Port Harcourt international airport is for SE and SS. We know your types. It is SE and SS when it suits your sorry ass. Then it becomes you and you alone when your anal retentive and tribal urges kick in. You can't force anyone to use your airport. Let SS enjoy their world class amenity alone. Igbos can trek from Douala/Yauonde or N'Djamena to get home in Alaigbo. We are doing just fine, thank you. |

Jakumo: For not much more money spent, you could acquire a 2004 CLK500 with a 5-liter V8. It is a better designed car, with fewer issues like rust.
If you are in a position to spend a bit more, the go the whole hog and buy a 2008 or 2009 CLK 550, the flagship of the fleet, which accelerates like a jet on the takeoff roll, I chit you not. You do know a lot abt Mercs. Can you help me out with this, pls? I'm looking to get a 2008/2009 E350 4matic. I'm partial to station wagon for certain reasons: it's for the missus What advice would you give here? Is it better to opt for an older model? |
