NIPCO is not even listed in the security list, i doubt its availability on the floor.

Does that mean Everton are title contenders too?
Nope, but it does mean that chelsea and man u are truly far behind this time around. everton, like chelsea, have played 5 games and are below the top 2 who both have a match in hand. Tell yourself some home truth, u cannot judge with only 4 games played, but it is a good pointer to the future, statistics have proved over and over again, i'm even surprised you're in london and u're yarning this trash all in the name of support for your bad performing but star studded club!

Up gunners jare!!!

I'll wait and see what chelsea plays at home to Blackburn first grin
I no go shock, Portsmouth nearly beat them for stamford, Aston villa come beat them, Maybe Blackburn go kukuma bury them for us all to have some peace!!!

@ MC Omo,

Its just too early to say Arsenal and Liverpool will win because of 5 games.
How many points seperate Liverpool and Man Utd? A paltry 5 points which can be countered with a win and a loss.
If this was April . . . . I would still be confident Chelsea and Man Utd will catch up.
Its a long hard winter so u should re-book your REHABILITATION appointment with Prof. Patterson.
The days when any of the top 4 could catch up, even if it was just 2 points (which can be obtained with just 2 draws and a loss) have gone with last season.
Liverpool are not very good travellers and may fail at portsmouth at the weekend, but in that Arsenal team, i see a team that is mentally, physically, and technically balanced. . . Like the team that went 41 matches without a loss.
They play like one big family and their movement is just outstanding. It may be too early but top pundits like Andy Gray are already hinting it very strongly, top managers like Harry Redknapp are already saying it http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/article.html?in_article_id=64484&in_page_id=43&in_a_source=

All the top gamblers: William Hill, Ladbrokes, betfred, Bet365. . . All of them keep reducing the odds for Arsenal because things are changing grin
On the other hand, look at Man U or Chelsea odds grin grin grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by whitelexi(m): 12:44pm On Sep 05, 2007
It will be interesting to see what happens on match day 10 grin

Obviously, some pundits still percieve my arsenal to be a bunch of kids grin

Any team that starts as bad as Man U did this season cannot possibly catch the top two anymore, Liverpool is red hot in front of goal, but Arsenal are red hot everywhere on the pitch.
I foresee a tight but healthy competition that should produce Arsenal as the league winners with Liverpool as immediate runners up, I see Everton and Man city just ahead of Chelsea who are in turn being shadowed by Man u grin

Believe the words from my own mouth, i never ever smoked pot grin grin grin

From recent stock price results, it does appear as though there is intensified competition amongst the top 3 banks on the exchange. I'm refering to UBA, Zenith, and First Banks, is this healthy?

@ easimoni,
im confused when it comes to GTB. i previously had a forecast eps of 1.6 in calculations, but on adding their gdrs, i have about 1.3. this turns it from a good buy to a good HOLD. but are these gdrs meant to be listed on the nse or the lse, should it affect our calculations in nigeria if they can be traded in london at any point in timehuh till im clear, i no fit enter this one. smiley
My only disappointment is that i was seriously broke when their IPO came out in 2004. I didnt buy many of their shares then but now that i look at it, its gone from multiple to multiple and i now have almost 2 x what i initially purchased + dividend, thats a good example of a good to hold share grin

Good day all. Have learnt a lot from this forum.

Can anybody tell me where to get the Application form for International Breweries offer?

Is GTB still coming for a public offer?

I am interested in buying Japaul. When i checked their website about the management structure, i was supprised that the big guys were managers of different companies and also that the key personnel had yahoo emails: not company email like @japaul.com. I find it kind of strange. What do you think?

Cheers
GTB Public offer. . . Sounds interesting grin

Adebayor is a bloody waste!!! Bloody waste.
Bearing such waste in mind, is this not the same portsmouth team that chelsea were hanging from one finger guarding their 1-0 goal lead against?

It must truly be very difficult playing Arsenal compared to chelsea, especially when Adebayor just wastes chances and portsmouth have not even made it into the arsenal 18yard box. . . We have doubled chelsea's achievement in one match, in one half grin

The good ones seem to be with the less popular brokerage companies grin I've had nasty experiences with Mutual Alliance and Cashcraft companies - both in Abuja.
Currently i'm with a company called cowry asset management company in V.I Lagos, thats basically all i know about the company, my registration and all were done online, i got a call from my assigned broker and we exchanged credentials, we've been in contact since then by phone email and text. I got registered for the text alert within 3 days of my registration, i got my online account username and password the very next day. . .  Its just wonderful to see a Nigerian company in Nigeria working somewhat like a British company  grin

My broker has advised AIICO insurance for now.

@Easimoni: You are the deejay of the insurance sector. . .  I have consented to him entering at N3 on monday because he said there was a 2 week long downward trend which ended on friday as he noticed a strong upward surge of about 50% stocks on the floor. He will be acquiring 150k units with a target of selling at about N5.

Quite frankly, he's the first broker i've had in 5 years that has impressed me with his transparent and intelligent management of my portfolio, i actually gave him freedom to use my portfolio as his own as long as i have his itinary before and after a purchase or sell mandate grin

Any info on international breweries? I heard they've come to the capital market to raise money in a PO @ 87k per share. . . Considering the management shake-up there, do you think its a good buy?
BusinessRe: Which Nigerian Bank Do you Use and Why? by whitelexi(m): 5:12pm On Aug 28, 2007
I beg to disagree, intercontinental stands as the fastest growing bank in the entire world, i opened an account with them since 1996 and i've never had cause to regret it. Even now that i'm abroad, i've been able to setup online banking and each month i can watch what happens with my account, i cant really ask for more.

@ temmie10, easimoni, thanks for the info on c&i, guess ill just hold and wait, thats the funny thing about this market, all these asset management coys. never seem to factor in new yet-to-be listed shares.
anyway, i thought id let you guys in on 2 banking stocks not so talked about but should do well by middle next year.
(easimoni, i know u don't like banks grin)
1) diamond bank; by my calcs has a projected eps of 1.12k by its year end and that is assuming 45% growth, these banks are doing better than that presently. that gives it the same projected eps as access bank and its trading at a lower price. unless they decide to come out with an offer as well, this is a good one with a strong eps. its also important to note they have the 2nd smallest forward pe among all banks.
2) skye bank; rumor of bonus issue by its year end, also coming out with po in 1st half of next year and it has a projected eps of 0.6, which should talk it to a fair value of 16(if u compare with fcmb which has just a slightly higher eps and assuming pe of 26.
hope this helps. undecided
I must say that my broker seriously agrees with you. I was hell bent on buying C&i Leasing shares, perhaps because their shares are doing well, perhaps because my elder sister is one of their directors - i really don't know why but it really was appealing to me all of a sudden, but when i arranged the money and spoke to my broker, he told me to hold on, surprisingly he even suggested MBenefit, AIIO, Prestige & Crusader. . .  Of course i didnt see this as a good route for profit in the medium term as mbenefit has dropped almost N2 in the past few weeks, but he wants me to trust him. At the end of the day we didnt reach a concencus.
From what you guys are discussing, he seems to be on the right track, right?

I think Adebayor should not have started that match, he lacks match fitness maybe coming on as a sub could have been better for him and the team. Nywayz i thank God because if we don't beat these relatively small teams now, we might end up like last season grin grin grin wink cheesy
Before the season i'd call man city a small team but after the win against man u, i became wary of them and had a very close look at their performance. I'm a stunch gunner but i'm sure you will agree that man city cancelled arsenal out and could have won as well. I think they've grown technically and physically and believe me, those boys will go far. It'll be interesting to see a game between man city and Chelsea or Liverpool now grin

Zenith bank declared dividends and bonuses, initially i heard 1 for every 4 shares and a dividend of N1. Now i'm hearing 1 for every 5 shares and a dividend of N1.10!
Can someone please put me in the right direction.

Thats why i am the BEST.
I could argue SUNDERLAND is the best team in the Premiership. grin grin grin grin
I have tipped Sunderland as well for the top 4 because that team is one bombshell. I've been following their performance from the championship, coming from bottom to top in 19 matches that Roy Keane presided over. I think the Tottenham defeat was not a surprise, the birmingham last minute equaliser was also not a surprise, they have this never say die tendency and their only defeat so far was a massive blow, the coach has taken responsibility for picking the wrong squad. I'm waiting to see how they perform against other teams.

Being an Arsenal fan, i still rate sunderland very highly, they will very likely surprise many people.
