anyone dt believes in this geographical entity called Nigeria with its enormous potential should not dismiss 'Nollywood ingenuity' with a wave of d hand.Lets encourage them please.

i watch some when time permits me and i really enjoyed it. Right now,i want to watch my man(Nkem Owoh)'s new movie- CAPTAIN
@Kellybaba

The white boy in that movie is my cousin oh grin
He's actually half-caste, the only one to really take up our grandfather's half-caste looks, but he schooled and grew up in the east of Nigeria and speaks ibo like english grin
He's a qualified medical doctor but i don't know how he ended up acting movies.

I dont see anything wrong with the prices so far, i reckon, like temmie10 above has said, that the insurance sector will catch up with the banking sector over the next 20yrs at the most because the rate of expansion and growth is alarming.

Its funny how small small things change your life.

See me that used to be interested in only music, movie, and soccer sports channels

Now if i miss NTA international news, i feel like something bad has happened, especially the stock market updates part.

Well, I've noticed a lot of talk about Bank PHB here, and i've noticed their adverts everywhere on that channel including during the news broadcast. . . Does anyone know how soon this suspected offer might be?
And can we also have proactive hands-on information about what to expect?

Pretty please grin

what insurance stocks are u holding? what price did you buy them. That sector is not as general as it looks.
I've got almost all of them oh, but these two are the bulk quantities i've got, and they're the ones giving me a small headache right now. I've got 205k units when both are combined:

Aiico @ 2.95
Mbenefit @ 3.25

I've also got crusader and Lasaco, but those dont bother me much.

There is no reason to believe that stocks below N4 will present the best opportunities. The only stock in my portfolio below your cut-off is Mutual Benefits Assurance

BTW, no need to post your question on both threads. It only makes things harder to follow.
Mbenefit is dropping and so are almost all shares in the insurance sector, does this have anything to do with their reserve funds that were not released??
I asked this question yesterday, but it just got worse today, is this a good time to sell at a loss and wait until the price gets to rock bottom?
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by whitelexi(m): 3:21pm On Oct 08, 2007
@easimoni, I've noticed that most of the insurance companies lost on the stock exchange today, could this be as a result of the recent policy not to release their reserveshuh
Tell me in time so i can deliberate on whether to run for my life right now or stand and fight grin

I bought Zenith's Bank shares in 2004, and since then i have not recieved any certificate from them, not to mention bonuses, i want to know if any of the shareholders has recieved any thing from them, cause i am starting to smell foul play undecided
I got the first certificate in 2004 but none other since then, you should go and question your situation oh.

@ whitelexi,

You use Sky broadband?
Bloody Hell . . . . . I wouldnt touch it with a 12 feet pole even if its free.
Virgin(NTL) broadband is the best in the land.
It has never failed me . . . .with ma wireless router i get a constant 54Mbps speed 24/7.
I'd rather pay for that than fluctuating speeds SKY offer.
Sky's TV is the best but other than that . . . . forget it.
No way Jose.
Well, I remember 2 - 3 years ago when i was working at Fujitsu, we supported Virgin, Ntl, and Telewest services, it was a hellish job dealing with millions of dissatisfied customers daily.
If your's is ok thats fine, i really don't mind about the service provider, but like i said, a 16mb 24/7 internet speed with uncapped downloads, all sky channels (over 1000 channels) plus the HD service, as well as anytime UK calls with a free call service to landlines in over 50 countries in the world, all for free. Thats what i call employee support!

@Jackal

Thats your opinion oh, i turned down an offer from carphone warehouse for the same position i later took at sky because the pay was simply poor for the workload!

And guess what? I also turned down my talktalk phone line and broadband when sky offered to pay for those if i switched to them grin
So as a staff, my services are also free; phone, broadband, and TV grin grin

The competition may be between Arsenal and Manure this season oh shocked shocked shocked

Meanwhile, Man city are looking really good too! beating middlesbrough 3 - 0 as i speak!

@ whitelexi,

We aint talking about work environment or personnel.
I am talking about pay packets.
Where wont u find wonderful staff working with u in the UK?
Its all about the Benjy'z for LE CHACAL. If its about work environment . . . . i would have gotten one of those Mcjobs around. grin grin grin grin
If u don't believe me . . . . .Check ma signature.
Environment and pay-out, it really depends on what u do there. I think our tech support guys earn pretty well. They have a starting salary of £28k a year with good bonuses. I have not seen any other 1st line support roles that earn that much, carphone warehouse pays as from £14k for the same role.

I just think u should watch how you talk about companies that can punish you!

nowhuhhuhhuhhuhhuh if manure, cheski and klivpol could not beat us last season and still

came 1st 3, then whats wrong if we loss to them and carry the EPLhuhhuhhuhhuh??/

Gunners are on track and we just take each game as it comes, wait for your turn of bashings,

coming sooooooooooooooooooooooooooon.

CONGRATES BOYS.

4LIFE
Talking of the top 4, chelski is languishing in 9th place on the league table with a goal difference of -1!
So much for John Terry claiming this season will witness their reclaiming the title grin grin grin

Let's face it guys, as it stands, there are only the top 3!
if you want to say top 4 then include Man city, meanwhile Manure has played 9 games oh, so we have to take that into consideration, we could be 25 points after 9games when compared to their 20 points with as much games, i think they're still some distance away grin grin grin

Manure pls wake up, we dont wanna spank u too hard in the first week of November grin grin grin

Only one team has these 10 point statistics in the premier league so far so why should we have a complexhuh

1. Won Ten and drawn five Premier League matches since losing 0-1, home to West Ham on 7 April.

2. One of two clubs still unbeaten in the Premier League. The other is Liverpool.

3. Boasting the strongest attack in the Premier League; 19 goals scored in eight outings at one every 31 minutes on average.

4. Scored almost twice as many league goals as Man Utd. (19 to 11).

5. The only club to have scored in every Premier League match this season.

6. Only conceded more than a single goal in two of their last 16 Premier League games.

7. Drawn their last four league matches against north-east opponents.

8. One of two clubs still holding a 100% home Premier League record. The other is Manchester City.

9. Claimed 25 points from the last possible 27 at the Emirates Stadium.

10. Lost only one of the last 30 home league matches since 1 February 2006.

Get your act right and behave yourself oh!

Even Manure can't beat that statistic!
Not even Liverpool, let alone Chelski grin grin grin

He disallowed Arsenal's 3rd goal in the first half which could have killed the game off before Sunderland even could score their first. . . u wont remember that!

Sunderland has been robbed with dodgy decisions from this REF. RED CARD to McShane?
Everything seems to be going GAYNNERS way . . . .Bloody Cheats.
At least . . . . .Sunderland has shown u can actually concede goals at the Emirates.
Your real test comes against Liverpool at Anfield.
Red card for McShane for a challenge on my namesake Alexander Hleb!!!!!!!!!!!
Roy Keane - No complaints. . . That was a horrible challenge, he could've broken the young man's legs with that challenge grin

Liverpool will be nice and spicey cos it will be at anfield, but we will also relish dealing with Manure over the next few weeks grin grin grin

These boys hardly get a chance but when they do, they use them, 2 really scrappy goals and they're level!

Well, the game is still very young and i'll expect the gunners to take the lead soon.

Well, It definitely doesnt sound like good news if the federal govt dips their hands into such sector. But having said that, in a country like nigeria, where alot of fraud happens, its probably the best.
