let's not argue about it, if we don't learn from south sudan. We wouldn't learn UK leaving EU is not the same thing, Nigeria can leave ecowas nothing will happen. Do you think UK would allow scotland go? Where is their oil? Please let's not argue believe what ever you choose. NASS can't even be organised to vote properly. Its referendum you feel we would organise. And I ask again why would UN help you?
My last reply to you today because it seems you love the sound of your voice and talk for talking sake...

1)You can decide to make Somalia your yardstick...it is your choice!!!

2) UK won't allow Scotland leave? sometimes, learn to keep shut... but allowed them have referendum in which they decided on their own to stay back because majority voted in favor of such decision...

3)Isn't Nigeria signatory to UN doctrine on self determination? How old are you? since when did NASS start organizing elections or referendum or supervising same? goodnight!!!

. If you didint mention me I wouldn't have replied you. You think things are so easy and straight forward in life abi? You think Biafra would leave Nigeria without a fight abi? Hope you know a country is not bound to obey another country even the mighty UN! How many times has North Korea obeyed UN? What has UN done? Even if guidelines are set if Nigeria doesn't follow it what would you do? Nothing! How many books have you read about the civil war? Did gowon allow aids which is required for civilians to get to Biafra during the war? What did UN do? Did UN delegates ever visit Biafra? Look at South Sudan! What is UN doing? I'm not asking you these questions for you to reply me. Thanks
1)It is good to ask questions especially when ignorant...but don't take your ignorant questions for position of authority in the issue under discuss...

2)Why not start by checking lists of members of UN and their signatories...maybe you will understand position of North Korea then...Also, check different treaties signed and countries that signed them...Ask yourself why such treaties don't become automatically binding on all but only countries that decide to sign them on their own volition.

3)Also, ask yourself why is it that you fail to understand simple logic and argument but keep repeating your empty rhetorics. They asked for UN SUPERVISED REFERENDUM NOT WAR. Scotland just had one. Brexit is another...etc It is not WAR bro...I don't understand where your war rhetorics is coming from even after several explanations by different folks here...Learn to listen during arguments!!!

4)How many drones or lives were wasted before Iran was got to listen? How about Turkey? etc Everything isn't about war ...there are several diplomatic ways of getting member states to obey and comply. Nigeria as signatory has got limited option.

5)Don't mix up issues...Don't use war scenario to describe peaceful events. REFERENDUM isn't war...thanks and learn!!!

Just wanna say thanks so much to 0xtr100r on how you maturely educated agalamanyi...I hope he learnt something... Sometimes, people out of ignorance refuse to confront their fears or tackle the unknown...I have a video of Soludo in a book review where most Igbo bigwigs were around... Biafra and IPOB agitation were the topic...If Biafra is declared today, it will simply become a new ECOWAS country with FREE ENTRY and EXIT into ALL other countries with absolutely NOTHING to lose in terms of property or whatever. Btw before any disintegration, official terms of separation guided by law and strictly supervised are always put forward. NOTHING is better than freedom...!!!

PoliticsRe: Going Beyond IGBO Tribal Politics : Orji Uzor Kalu's APC Example by Whynotthetruth(m): 10:14am On Dec 04, 2016
ImperialYoruba:
Kalu is the only Ibo leader recognized nationally.
1)I hate when we play revisionism...Facts are sacred...IGBO don't play ethnic politics...Igbo voted against an Igbo man in 1993, 2003, 2007 etc...

2)Orji Uzo Kalu & co can do whatever to make APC pleasing to whomever but never twist facts...How many regions or tribes recognized Osibanjo before his election? smh

3)What is wrong in playing opposition to central government? Igbo were in alignment to several governments including government of OBJ, Yar'adua, Jonathan etc...Igbo shouldn't sheepishly follow Orji Uzo Kalu to APC because he decamped there...Let him try correcting the errors and mistakes of leadership he and his likes has entrenched in Abia state...We don't need to align with anybody to do that...Selfish politicians!!!

4)Compare Igbo voting pattern to the attached;

The South-West zone has 14,296,163 registered voters, which represents 19.44% of the total number of voters nationwide. In terms of national electoral strength, the zone is number 2. Taking into account the electoral behaviour of the South-West since independence, the zone has proven itself, without exception, of incapable of voting anyone other than its own. In the 1st Republic, it voted mainly Action Group in favour of Chief Obafemi
Awolowo with about 69% voters’ turnout. In the 2nd Republic, it voted 78.75% of its total votes cast for UPN in
favour of Chief Awolowo, with 70% voters’ turnout. In the June 12, 1993 presidential election, the pattern was
repeated more or less the same, except that the total percentage of SDP’s votes in favour of Chief MKO Abiola
rose up to 84.5% in the zone. In the 1999 presidential election, mainly because the only two candidates for the
presidency were both from the South-West, the zone’s voters’ turnout was abysmally low (48.09%) with about 68% of the votes cast to APP in favour of Chief Olu Falaye. 2003 also recorded poor voters’ turnout with 71% of
votes cast for Obasanjo’s PDP. In 2011, with no Southwestern candidate fielded by any of the major parties, the
South-West voted PDP when a functional alliance with the CPC failed to field in Sen. Tinubu or his nominee.
Besides, with the vicious experience of AD in 2003 when the PDP Federal Government uprooted its governments
in five states of the zone, the South-West cannot now afford to risk having an opposition PDP government at the federal level again; certainly not after the hard pains and toils of forming the APC. It is therefore existential for the South-West to vote APC at the presidential election

Tell Atiku lnot to waste his money anymore. Since 1993 he has been trying and still not get the Presidency. What ideals and visions does he have for this country that he is hell bent on becoming President bh fire by force? Whatever it is he needs to share with our currentgovernment so they can review it for best practice integration.

He needs to give it up.

Let people like Adesina come forward, Soludo come forward, tell that Governor in Jigawa, Abubakar to come forward, Fashola, ....these are people we need now.

If you need someone from North Governor Abubakar of Jigawa is definitely my choice. He was a multi millionaire long before becoming Governor. He does not sound his own trumpet but that guy is doing so much for his people that of all the people in North Jigawa are the only ones content and making progress. He talks less and work more. Not only that, you dont see him parading up and down everytime a King is having birthday or celebrating anniversary or burying their mother. Instead of showing face everywhere he delegates his commissioners and empowers them to represent and do their job. Ive been watching him and I love what he is doing. Great man, family man, good model! One of his daughters got married recently nobody even knew. Thats how government is supposed to be. Everytime Atiku marry off one of his children the whole airwave is filled. Tell Atiku get the fvk off!
1) I appreciate your line of thought...but this is not an ATIKU endorsement or campaign thread but I am trying to look at possible candidates from North taking note of their liberal or extremist history.

2) Some of those guys are core professionals and may not be ready for dirt's of politics presently...

3) I am diehehe-hard Peter Obi fan and I support his type leading Nigeria...but will current political realities allow them to push through on their own? I hope so...

This your caricature of a response is just a laughable attempt to hide the shamelessness of your proposition.

Ndigbo rejected Buhari 4 times....did Ndigbo not also reject Atiku 4 times (1992, 2007, 2011 & 2015) only to suddenly decide to suck his balls clean the 5th time?

What type of decentralization does Alhaji Atiku Abubakar stand for? The type Tinubu stood for before winning the election? The type a renowned SW activist for decentralization and restructuring like Jagaban fought for over decades only to dump at assumption of power? Is that the decentralization you're now expecting a core northerner to provide?

As I asked in my opener, what political misadventure is Ndigbo venturing into this time?

Don't bother with a response because there is absolutely nothing you can come up with to explain this shamelessness and political naivety.
1)ATIKU was NEVER rejected OPENLY by anybody but didn't win election. But in Buhari's case, a clear message was passed. Deal with that !!! btw ATIKU wasn't a presidential candidate during 2015 elections. He ended his quest in APC in-house affair...

2)We share some common ground with ATIKU whether he changes tomorrow when voted in is not an issue of today. APC SW never stopped their decentralization chant albeit less noisily. Deal on facts bro...We are dealing with human beings who are politicians not angels and saints who are infallible.

3)Why cry more than the bereaved? why cry and mourn Igbo political decision? whether misadventure or whatever to you? why not enjoy and celebrate your people's political sagacity and cerebral prowess? Allow us to enjoy our decisions whether right or wrong ...thanks!!!

A. The SW rejected one of two S/Wners in one election and embraced him in the next, which is very different from the East rejecting a northern candidate in 2015 for ethnic and religious reasons, only to lead the race to jump on Northern deek in less than two years undecided

B. The point is that you rejected the Northern candidate for ethnic reasons, and hurled unmitigated venom, hatred and insults at the north to the point of stating that you'd all prefer to form your own country than be ruled by a "lowly northerner" after your hero was beaten silly by northerners and Yorubas, only for you to gleefully suck up your own vomit to lead the campaign for another northerner to lead a united Nigeria and extend the North's presidency till 2027....and wait for it...over 2 years before the elections grin

Don't you lots have any shame or human pride?

C. Ibo's voted Yar'adua in 2007 against Ojukwu and Uzor Kalu, Yes. The difference is that this was BEFORE Jonathan was defeated and iPod/IPAD was created with the whole anti-north movement. This was before Lower Niger Congress (now buried) was created out of the shock of defeat and before Ibo's discovered they were 5%.

D. The rationale is quite clear. You lots were screaming for secession and vowed to never vote a northerner again no matter what so as to curtail their 'born to rule' attitude; you screamed all over social media that it was absurd for an 'illiterate nomad northerner' to rule over an educated south/east; your ilk vowed that it was Biafra or LNC or death, only for us to see the same people lead the campaign to be ruled by another northerner till 2027...just like I predicted last year.

Is the 'mere commisioner' position so enticing that you have chosen to ridicule yourselves so badly, or have you finally swallowed the humble pie and are now learning the art of 'stoop to conquer' which is vital in Nigerian politics? undecided

It is absolutely illogical and shameless to ask what the rationale for my amazement is.
...Don't muddle up issues in an argument...Are you after me or the East? I assume the East and will answer in line with that...

1)East REJECTED the man; BUHARI not once but FOUR times... not for ETHNIC or Religious reasons, because they voted another NOrthern Muslim against him in 2007...don't twist facts. They were unanimous in rejecting him with no apologies. Many Northerners including Abdulsalami, Gowon etc has been hosted in Igbo happily since election... Buhari was the man they rejected in elections not Northerners...Men like Labaran Maku etc spend more time in Anambra nowadays cheesy

2)East stands always for a decentralized Nigeria...ATIKU supports decentralization. That's some meeting point already. Every other diatribe you wrote up there...I don't understand. I vote INDIVIDUALS not ETHNICITIES or TRIBES... I am a Jonathan fan till infinity for several reasons but NEVER ethnic reasons as I am not Ijaw.

3)MASSOB was existent then. Whatever belief system existent today wasn't born in 2015. Maybe when you started reading news wink 5% came from Buhari diatribe and those he termed so accepted it proudly grin

4) Kindly show me excerpts of where I or probably notable Igbo leaders said your forth point... Am waiting!!!

2)What's wrong in rejecting a candidate ? Buhari has been consistently rejected and now is president. does it mean those who rejected him shouldn't vote anymore?

3)Didn't "Biafrans" vote Yar'adua in 2007 ?

4)I don't understand the rationale behind your outburst or supposed disgust? Anyway, freedom is a right, franchise is a right...you can NEVER wish them away even from your enemy....

5)North where you supposedly came from said worse things about Jonathan in 2011. Or maybe you need to be reminded about Elrufai missile on Buhari around 2007...or Tinubu bombs on Buhari in 1999/2011...so what's new? It is getting to that period in Nigeria diary when politicians are out of their wits, trying to outdo themselves in convincing Nigerians to their side. Nigeria is a UNIQUE country in that EVERY decision is analyzed, weighed, accepted or rejected after going through three(3)distinct criteria;
... Religion
... Ethnicity
... Political Party
These trio criteria has also ensured that Nigeria has never reached her potentials and won't attain such if she doesn't look at individuals beyond these myopic lens.

ATIKU Abubakar is by no means a saint but stands out among the Northerners to be considered for presidency given his not being contaminated or hindered by these myopic criteria in his dealings so far. Some other outstanding factors for which I feel ATIKU is among the best candidates from North include;

1) Exposure, Experience and Expertise:
ATIKU has proved himself worthy of emulation in several, different and diverse sectors. He rose to echelon of service as a Custom's Officer. As an Entrepreneur, he has broken bounds and achieved uncommon success. And as Public servant, led successfully the privatisation exercise of government as anchored by BPE, alongside other assignments as Nigeria Vice President between 1999-2007.

2) Extremism & Extremists Views:
ATIKU seems liberal in his views and his continued support for decentralization of government which most northeners don't support make him to stand out as a man with a mind of his own. Who also considers the views of his neighbor's in taking decision and not necessarily selfish decisions always. Fanatics and extremists have done Nigeria more harm than good.

3) Leadership Quality;
A journey through his successful career will put flower to this point. He has succeeded both in personal, public, and organizational leadership positions.

4) CORRUPTION TAG;
It is a fact that this tag came to life when he challenged the unwholesome appetite for power by his then boss; Obj .Nuhu Ribadu who led the onslaught against ATIKU then has not denied begging ATIKU for forgiveness for wrongful accusation.
US government has declared through some recent publication of having no case file against him as against public perception. With no court conviction against him with regard to corruption and looting of Treasury, we can assume him innocent in that regards.

5) ECONOMIC BLUEPRINT;
Any avid follower of APC primary election in 2015 will agree with me that ATIKU Abubakar was the ONLY APC presidential candidate with VERITABLE, VERIFIABLE, & VIABLE economic blueprint . He has always being ready for the job with his simple, concise and implementable blueprints.

There could be other good products from the North yet to declare open their interest but in all, ATIKU is a FAR UPGRADE on a country that could tolerate a Buhari presidency.

Thanks and God bless us all... wink
