Happy bumping to all the Mamas in the house, today we r 38 weeks 3 days.
From yesterday night till this morning I had serious cramps in my vagina and anus, I couldn't sleep or sit properly. I just feel relief now after taking paracetamol in the morning and afternoon.I went to the hospital(Stella Obansanjo hospital Benin) today around 10am but couldn't see the doctor becos of the crowd. Benin Mamas is there any good private hospital he can refer me to. I'm new in Benin.

Nice bump mama. Please try and repeat your visit tomorrow cos as FloraEC Said, you will be charged much. Except you really have to use another hospital sha

Mama did you mean fesolate?
If you have registered for antenatal, they will guide you on the tests to run at the appropriate time.
Expect to run tests like Hepatitis (B and the rest), genotype, blood group, PCV and of course HIV.

Yes dear. It was even that of 1000mg. I stopped when I finished coartem.

Nne thanks, I asked mr Google and it says not safe in 1st trimester but ok in 2nd and 3rd trimesters if the benefits outweighs the risk in foetus.
I also called my dh's friend that's a doctor in calabar and he said I should take the lumapil and leave the antibiotics.
I just took a dose now till 7am tmrw, precious lo and I are in God's hands.

The same thing was written about the Coartem I took. I believe they know best. And I started feeling much better when i finally took it.

Good evening mamas, pls help me out here o. I took my first dose of TT injection 2 days ago but had severe reaction to it, the arm is swollen , painful and itchy and I have fever, headache, body ache, fatigue in fact general feeling of being ill, so I went to the 2nd hospital I use today because the doc in my 1st hosp that administered the TT travelled and I couldn't reach him.
The 2nd hosp ran tests and diagnosed severe malaria and cold and prescribed lumapil for malaria and cefuroxime tabs for cough/cold, pls mamas my questions are:
1. Is lumapil safe for a 22 weeks plus pregnancy
2. Is it ok to take these drugs 2 days after TT injection.
Pls help! dont jump and pass sabi mamas

So sorry to hear about your pains teamie. I don't know anything about lumapil. I'm hoping sabi mamas would choke mouth.
In the meantime, sw if you can look up lumapil safety in pregnancy on Google.

Mamas pls I have a question ooo, concerning our prenatal, my hospital only gave me ferrous tablet, one red capsule like this, and reading thr this tread I see mamas talking about pregnacare plus, pregnacare original etc, am a FTM momma, hope I am not missing out or I need to add d pregnacare on my own.

May God reward all d mamas, their honest and motherly answers to questions are highly appreciated.

What about folic acid? Folic acid is very important dear. Pregnacare is good if you can afford it cos it contains other vitamins. but that doesn't make it any better than the prenatals you are given at the hospital.

Please ask your doctor about folic acid. If you are in your 1st trimester, please don't wait until your next appointment. Go to any pharmacy and get some for yourself. Take one pill a day from it.
