We are waiting for babies to start dropping o. Me, I am so looking forward to seeing her. The thing is that I did 1 hour walking for about 4 to 5 days, but later replaced it with climbing staircase and taking 400 steps of it every night cos it seemed tougher. Yet, this baby is still rubbing pancake.

Please, mamas, make una raise voice to God to help us. The weight now is not funny, and getting up from bed with heavy Vijay and pelvic bone isn't funny at all. Can't wait to drop my BA and BS.

It shall end in praise in Jesus name, amen.

God bless you... Coconut water has been saving babies from colic... As in Ehhh... Once you give the baby dat water... The will not cry for colic or disturb your night... It's you that will be waking your baby up in the night to breastfeed.

Lol, I agree with you ma, but like angeltolly said, every mama should do what they feel is right for their babies.
I actually checked if coconut water contained any harmful properties that may not be good for the body and didn't find any (I don't mind being corrected).
And doctors will not usually support all the traditional methods people use on their babies, but some of those methods have been keeping us till date.

Ha! Coconut water for an infant. Was it your doctor that instructed you to do so? The only thing your baby needs is breastmilk. Beware of online advisers

Actually, coconut water is good. I heard about it when I was pregnant with my son from many mothers that it relieves colic. I gave it to my son for straight 2 days after birth cos my breast milk didn't come in immediately.
My sister's friend said she had to even buy coconut water in a packaged pack as sold by her hospital as high as 12k for one which they were giving her baby cos she was sick and couldn't breastfeed her baby after delivery.

The coconut water didn't harm my baby and probably reduced his incidents of colic. So, yes, it's good. And I already bought coconut that I'll break and give the water to my baby once I give birth.

It's advisable to wash and iron sef. Babies skin are very sensitive so if you can, at least, wash it and spread under sun. But if you like, you can forgo washing, but don't forget all the packaging and processes it went through in the hands of the manufacturer.

I have taken one pack (the 4 abi nah 5 in one pack) of peppermint and yet nothing yet oo or do I need to buy more? I took liptom tea and pap yesterday but I'm told not to eat solid food like rice much, if at all I want to eat it the problem is that I am not comfortable cause my tummy is bloated and when I touch it, I feel pain . So I need the gas to find their way out of my body so that I can be free.

I don't know if you can take pepper soup made with scent leaf. Please ask and if yes, try and get someone to make it for you to take. That thing saved one woman that had gas issue after her delivery.

Hello mamas please help me.


Was feeling massive headache for 2 days so I went to hospital to register for antenatal and it was discovered that my BP is high 140/80. I didn't had such through out the first pregnancy.

Dr PRESCRIBED Aldomet 500mg tabs morning and night for 2 weeks.

Please am scared about the dose which I told her that being the first time, wasn't it to too? I thought they will start with small dose and not jump to that high does at once. Dr said no that it's okay for me.

Please is that how they PRESCRIBE the drug? If I start taking it will the bp normalize and I won't need the drugs again? I'm scared of long time use of drugs. The thought of taking it alone is frecking me already.

Please don't waka pass.

I'm on the drugs too. My BP started rising even before I took in. 7 months after I had my son. So, I was asked to continue when I tested positive cos without taking it, my BP will just be rising like bread.
I was even taking it with Nifedepine. Small but very hard drug. I complained about it giving me headache and more palpitations and I was asked to stop the Nifedepine and take only the Aldomet.

I think Aldomet is pretty mild. My BP has been very ok for a while so, they asked me to reduce to just one tablet a day. I don't even take it everyday again, just once in a while if it is over 130.
But I do check my BP at home every 2 to 3 days.

For now, please do as they said and they will review it after 2 weeks cos BP in pregnancy is just not good.

Thank God for you Mama. I wonder if devil wanted to use that midwife abi nurse who asked you to stand up when baby's head was already being felt. That was how one woman was asked to stand up cos she was pooing on the place she laid, only for her to stand and baby dropped out that moment landing with his head. That was how the woman lost a baby boy they have been looking for ages. The devil left the nurse because she was previously shouting at the woman and commanding her, but started pleading when she saw the consequence of her action. The hospital was almost burnt down that day.

God will not allow doctors and midwives that will attend to us to be manipulated.

OMG...how I wish I'm d one who is 36weeks gone. I'm in my 33rd week...when will this July come now? I heard garden egg leaves boost blood, Gino tomatoes with malt and milk does too...dts what I'm abt to start taking to boost mine.

Once we enter June, July will just be around the corner. I ate garden egg leaves yesterday. Funny enough, I'm just coming back from hospital/antenatal and my PCV is 37%, which according to them isn't bad at all.
That was the same level I had when I had my son. They ran other tests like malaria and typhoid and malaria still shows 1+. The typhoid wasn't much of a worry from the result. But they gave me another malaria drug and some antibiotics. I'll start them tomorrow sha. Just wish to be okay once more.
I'll still eat more garden egg leaves today and try to force myself to be eating food. It shall end in praise for all of us. Thanks mama for your help.

About the weakness I think it should be the maleria drug... The first type of maleria drug they gave me in this pregnancy made me week for like a week, I wouldn't go out I was in bed by muscles where like vegetables. But I told them to change it this time around and I'm good... About the dizziness I think it's might be your PVC as you said checking is best.

Thank you Mama. I appreciate your input. Hopefully, the weakness will wear off with time. I'll definitely check my pvc tomorrow at the hospital. I'm currently chewing on garden egg leaves to see if it helps.

Please I need help. I have been feeling very weak and dizzy. I just finished treating malaria 2 days ago. But I no longer have appetite for food. Cold drinks appear more appealing. I was noticing that dizzy feeling even before I treated malaria.

I have a feeling my pcv is low. I'll be going to the hospital tomorrow to make complains, but in the meantime, is there anything I can use to boost my blood fast fast? The sight of food nowadays makes me sick. Meat nko? I'll feel like throwing up sef.

Should I take Lucozade boost? Really, really weak and dizzy. I have not experienced this before. Please anyone with ideas should help me out. I'm 36 weeks gone.

Please, who has experienced ringing ears in pregnancy? My left ear has been ringing for almost a week now and I called my Dr BIL, he said I should use olive oil in the affected ears and b-complex. Please any other advice from mothers here? It can be tiring not hearing properly with one of your ears.

Yep, had it in my right ear during my son's pregnancy. This time around, it's in my left ear. It usually goes away after childbirth. Hold on mama. Pregnancy is indeed interesting

Very normal and not funny at all. It's what I'm battling with, and mine is getting worse by the week. It mostly moves to my vagina now. And the worst is that it may or may not go after giving birth. It's such a terrible experience. Things we do for our babies.

UPTH is okay in the sense that it's a govt hospital with hands on professionals on duty. I had my boy there, but don't expect them to pamper you. I hear am o even though a retired matron who they all knew introduced me and asked that they take care of me. Well, this time around, I'm using a private hospital - Ponyx hospital in GRA.
I'm hoping to have a good experience there.

I don't think you should bother yourself too much with this bulky list if you can't afford it. They want to build their stash with their patients. Just buy what you can afford after all they won't use all items for you.
That's how my Hosp wrote 4 elbow gloves and a pack of latex gloves. I just bought 2 elbow gloves and like 4 pairs of surgical gloves. They didn't use anything from my bag, they used theirs and picked some things they needed from my bag later. The elbow gloves r sitting in my wardrobe as they didn't even take that one. Now that things r expensive, they should pity u biko

My dear, I'm thinking of getting only that surgical glove. If they don't have latex gloves to use na dem sabi. Funny set of people.
