I'm presently on admission

I went to the hospital to check why's the baby not moving and the heartbeat. The baby was beating good. But still not moving, she was monitored for more than 1hr, all same. I did series of test and the doctor said i may go into labour soon. I'm worried and sad, my husband as left, I'm only here on admission to monitor if I'm still having contraction and heavy discharge like draw soup (dont knw the meaning ) the next 48hrs. They gave me steriod injection to mature the baby's lungs and some drugs if she's going to come and to be on a safer side it's midnight now, cant sleep and i have bn crying. I need your prayers please

Try not to cry as hard as it is because you and that baby are going to make it alive and healthy. You are in my prayers. Stay strong

I bought a pack of latex gloves for 1700 this morning.

I used GH for my son's birth and only provided 6 surgical gloves Ong other few things. Now that I decided to use our HMO private hospital, come and see list. The hospital is in GRA and requesting for everything big - big omo, big savlon, big cotton wool, a pack of latex gloves, 8 surgical gloves, 8 packs of comfit pad, etc.

The latex gloves and surgical gloves, especially latex prices got me really upset. And these prices are from pharmacies o. Wike has even added my location to the places that will be on 24 hours curfew from Thursday, so I don't have a choice than to buy them except I find a cheaper pharmacy before Thursday.

Thanks Cappo. Just remaining surgical and latex gloves. The woman who I shopped from didn't have those, and pharmacies have become opportunists tripling the price. Anyway, I'll painfully cough out about 9k if not more than for them. Surgical gloves now 400 each and hospital needs 8. A pack of latex gloves now is 6k. It's well sha.
Seeing my baby will be all worth it.

Thank God it's remaining one more month, Cappo. Can't wait! The tiredness now is on another level on some days. 97% done with shopping for the basics remaining to wash, iron, and pack. God give me strength.

Oh dear Lord! So sorry sis Patking. This is a mother's worse nightmare. I pray the good Lord gives you the fortitude to bear this huge loss. Please, be strong and console yourself in the Lord.

Good evening Cappo. I'm doing alright although I'm feeling like baby has taken up all the space. Counting down already. My last antenatal at 29 weeks, baby was yet to turn. By my next antenatal and scan next week at 32weeks, I pray she will be head down by then. Hope you are doing good as well?

Mums with or that has had anterior placenta how soon where you feeling the strong kick. I found out I have an anterior placenta hence why I don't feel my baby kick except when I lay down on my sides and it's actually very light. But anytime I go for scan baby is super active. And also any advice on birth plans for anterior placenta mums

I always have anterior placenta with my pregnancies. My son was not that very active and only moves at night when I lay down to sleep. Some days sef, especially in the second trimester, he won't even be noticable moving. But third trimester was better but yet, movement was not that much. In fact, I had to rush to the hospital one Saturday in third trimester to complian that I had not noticed movement of my baby. When they checked, baby's heartbeat was so strong eh.

But with this pregnancy, which scan has confirmed two times to be a girl, I no dey rest. Even as I'm typing, she is just busy kicking with all her might. Sometimes, I wonder how the kicking would have been if my placenta was posterior

From my experience, it's like boys kick less than girls (I have had two boys but lost one at 24 weeks).

Regarding birth plan, you can push like every other pregnant woman without any issue. Relax. Anterior placenta isn't bad. Just that it may prevent you from feeling constant kicking especially when not laying down.

Was supposed to go in for sugar level test, but have been stylishly avoiding hospital. Thank God it's a private hospital with this news of doctors in general hospital not being on duty. I'll summon courage and go one of these days.

Since this is my second baby, I don't really have much to buy except for hospital items which I was thinking of buying sometime around April May.
Just hope this coro thing ends soon abeg.

First time to comment. Have been reading and following up each chat here. I will really say I appreciate you guys on this platform for your decision to share ideas. No doubt I learnt alot about women and the stress they go through just to make the home more happier. Really waited for a long time to share my wife BS with you guys but it couldn't come to pass as my wife underwent an emergency cs and a myomectomy today. it wasn't really easy but in all we thank God for the life of my wife even though we lost our baby. God knows best. wishing all pregnant mum's a safe delivery in Jesus name. Amen

After being in labour for 48 hours, and trying so hard to have a natural delivery, my baby refused to Dilate my cervix he was so comfortable in my womb lol. My beautiful boy came out yesterday at 11:00pm 8/03/20, yesterday via c section weighing a whooping 4.6kg. I’m so happy and blessed and my labour was truly a long and beautiful experience.
