Joagbaje:
Are you gay? It's not an orientation. It's demonic . Just as sleeping with dead bodies or sleeping with animals . I've helped many out of it
like you 'helped' that HIV patient?

how much does he have to transfer to you for this 'treatment'

you're now going about demonizing, dehumanizing homosexuals

do you happen to know that's a common practice propagandists use to whip the masses into a frenzy, to make them commit the most heinous crimes with a clean conscience?

eg, common excuse for slavery? black people are not human, they are more like monkeys, therefore it OK to enslave them

when you associate homosexuals with the Antichrist to your congregation, how do you expect they would treat homosexuals they encounter?

oops, my bad. you are a pastor, spreading hate is indeed your job.

I dunno why i get the feels you're possibly one of the worst human beings I've come across

lol,
what concerns me and "sausage eating"? What concern damned Or gay or sausage eating?

Oh, i Guess that was a failed attempt to make an arguement from sympathy by describing gays as sausage eating people, well everyone eats sausages including heteros, pedos, e.t.c, it has nothing to do with this topic. Nor have I described anyone sofar as damned.

Now go eat some sausages smiley

lol,

I am aware it is pretty difficult to prove a negative, infact most people prefer not to waste time on such things.

First my dear, a bigot is someone who is intolerant to other people because they hold ideas, thought or characteristics which differ.

If i prevented a jew from eating with other nations in my resturant simple 'cos he is a jew, then i'll be a bigot. If i start avoiding d muslims in my area for no reason other than religion then the name may apply. The same will apply if i was pursueing homosexuals away from my area or even my church, trying to avoid them.., simply because of their orientation.

And for the record, I actually know people who are not heteros and I don't avoid them, I actually have pretty good relationship with them, we actually are close enough to share tables. So sorry I am not intolerant or discriminatory to homosexuals.

So my dear I am no bigot.

The point I have expressed so far is that "marriage" properly speaking is an ancient institution that unite of man and woman for the procreation and upbringing of offsprings and companionship.

By definition a "gay marriage" is a impossibility. If the government is allowing unions of gay people, that is their business but it certainly is not marriage, it is a misnomer to describe it as such, or to equate it with marriage. Marriage unites man and woman and by that very fact a "gay marriage is a misnomer unless the couple are man and woman. And any redefinition of that term as the supreme court just did is not marriage at best a joke, as I said earlier d new definition simply say it is a way to prevent loneliness.

Oh and before I forget, It seems you are hopelessly confusing Christianity with Judaism! Shell fish and fabrics are not forbidden in Christianity I thought you should know that, it is judaism that forbids such.

On the otherhand, we do forbid stuff like stealing, murder, masturbation, addiction, adultery, fornication, bearing false witness and homosexual sexual relation and all those are considered sinful and discouraged.

And yes, I treat all who commit such sins the same way including myself, I remind them that such is immoral, I do not encourage it and I hope for repentance. That is exactly how I treat myself when I sin.
there is so much wrong here one could easily write a textbook. this here is a brief version, believe it or not.

the sausage comment is not an argument. it highlights how you base your decisions around irrational fears. you seem to have this idea that the world will become more of a sausagefest if gays are allowed their due rights. thats wrong and silly. and even if it were correct, so? nobody is forcing you to become gay. if you or anyone else find yourself suddenly attracted to the same sex, then youve always been gay, simple, and likely closeted atm.

how evil, being gay ie.

I'm sorry but the rest of us have much more pressing things to be concerned about than evil santas disdain for homosexuality.

--

are you really sure you know what bigotry is?

you think denying Jews service at a restaurant is bigoted, yet denying same Jews marriage rights is not?!

the way you value things seems backwards

as you have token gay friends, try this - find any that havent been brainwashed by xtianity and tell them that youre against their right to marry, that you compare their case to bestiality's, then ask them if youre a bigot or not and come back here and post the results.

there is NO difference between denying gay rights and denying jews or black man rights.

look at africa, because of these silly foreign traditions a gay man is easily ostracized or even worse, imprisoned and what not, yet you think that despite this one would choose to be gay? hmm.

just as some are born jewish some are born gay. read up on the biology of gay people's brains. and even for the bisexuals that can swing both ways and 'choose' to be gay, again, so what? we have MUCH better things to do than persecuting them for what they do with other consenting and willing adults.

-----

i can only cringe at the level of arrogance on display, you going about and persecuting others for their actions which affect you in no way and also deciding for the rest of us what marriage is.

protip; even in africa here, marriage is not equal to marriage in xtianity. abi xtianity condones polygamy? curious

nero married men, nobunaga's most intimate relationship was with a boy who became a young man under his watch.

no, xtianity didn't create marriage, and you dont get to shove your narrow definitions down the throats of those who dont believe in sky hitler. this your definition of 'proper' marriage; married people that don't procreate, perhaps their marriages are not valid? and how dare you decide for two adults whom they choose to have as companions? abi are they hindering you from making your own choice?

and even if i accepted this your 'proper' and ancient definition of marriage, so what? for instance, this practice of man to younger boy that nobunaga indulged in was particularly rife (and in many cases admired and praised) in the ancient world. today, most of these people would be in jail as pedos. actually, most of humanity would be in jail as pedos as 13 year old brides were the norm for most of our history. slavery, human sacrifice, genocide even; all perfectly fine to various cultures through our history. you don't believe me? open your bible and see.

something being traditional doesn't make it right by our standards today, or even to competing standards of their contemporaries. Muslims still proudly marry 13 year olds in this day and age just as many of your xtian heroes did. by western standards of the day, is this right?

heck, not even by competing cultures; the same cultures evolve with time, and obviously. even you just admitted that with your claim that your fickle god changed his mind about shellfish.

so no, xtianity does not hold the copyright on what marriage is. that's arrogant in the extreme.
and even if it did, it could clearly evolve and get with the times, which it has done through history (you even get a lot of stick for that from your Muslims cousins, who are not yet reformed and live even more in the past than you. notice how advanced their world is? same $hit applies to the secular world and all you traditional xtians)

----

with your claim about the difference between xtianity and Judaism, are you being disingenuous or what? is it not the same ot verses that condemn homosexuality that also condemns those that work on sabbath?! what are you trying to pull here?? again, why do you seek to cherrypick who you choose to persecute? na wa

don't worry, will deal with other post later...
Christianity EtcRe: The Gay Movement And The Mystery Of History by wiegraf:
Ubenedictus:
actually this is a load of crap we were told to enable us accept the bitter pie.

In America today, if you own a bakery and refuse to bake for an Homosexual couples marriage, you'll be sued for discrimination, if you are a wedding planner and refuse to plan a wedding for homosexuals you could be sued and you'll pay huge fines!

That is the simple truth so what those guys decide to do actually affect others.

The question is not about what happens in another mans bedroom, heck i do not give a cent about what happens in another man's bedroom, the problem is that the law forces the average man on the street to accept what he rejects. The law says now everybody is expected to consider d homo couple as ok as the hetero couple and if you do no you'll land you sorry as.s in court for discrimination.

So yes! This new law makes what happens in another man's bedroom the business of the public. Gay marriage is an attemp to thrust these interesting issues into the public eye and make sure you accept, if you do noy you will be classed a bigot.

Oh...lastly and now the phenomeno is advertised in public school curiculum.

Have a nice day.
oh nos. those damned are gays coming into my house and eating sausages

I'm confused as to what the problem is with calling a bigot a bigot. bemused. I mean, if you want to use xtianity as an excuse, why I don't see you treating those who wear different fabrics, eat shellfish or work on sabbath in the same way? one can only surmise the problem lies elsewhere

as for the legal issues, you might have a case in certain situations. but I also know there are ways to continue living like it were 4 millennia ago (as the op reminds us, ie assuming his fairy tale were true) if you want to. I know of reputable clubs that didn't allow black people in till the 90s. and that wasn't because the law required it of them, they simply realised they had to keep up with the times, and finally.

that said, I do know most jurisdictions have anti discriminatory laws that apply to institutions that meet certain criteria. heres a summary of some of californias history in that area

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Membership_discrimination_in_California_social_clubs

i'll add; tell me exactly how you'd feel if you showed up to collect your marriage certificate and were denied because you were...black? jewish?

a government institution? one run on public taxes? or even just aided by tax breaks on the assumption that they take on meritable public causes?

I needn't say more, I hope

anyways, as for private institutions, that's another story, yes, but the public general supports your right to be a bigot. recent fiascos like the chikenzila incident from last year or so demonstrate this.

these cases aren't even the norm. there must be afair amount of similar incidents daily in which the couple just shrugs and moves on. these particular couples are aggrieved for whatever reason. dunno, we'll just let the courts handle that. were laws broken? maybe, but claiming you are somehow being persecuted is a tad silly, no? let's not even get into the hypocrisy. you really might need some perspective.

for instance, 'advertising' in public school? are hetero unions also 'advertised' in those books? what of interracial marriages? are such abominations advertised in those books?

public (emphases on this word please) school books fa!

oga, if you live there, find yourself a private school suited to your (frankly bigoted) needs abeg. follow your own suggestions; just as you feel these people should find another venue/whatever for their weddings, you find a school which feeds your needs. don't expect publicly funded schools to cater to your narrow views

and you're the one being discriminated against?!

hmm

I'll pretend I didn't see that bestiality comment, for now.

That is why it is called "artificial," dear Mr. hare-brain, you for whom English is clearly poison.
Computers today may be called a form of same, and are not asserted to have souls or spirits.
the (should be obvious) point here, ser 'deep' sight, is if computers work the same way, then on what grounds whatsoever do you invoke the tooth fairy?

you're shown machines that work the same way yet you still go out of your way to invoke spirit power? curious

if you're still having problems then here -

you tell me there are little men in my eyeballs whispering to my brain, and they are responsible for my sight. I show a telescope, lense and whatnot and point out no, a mechanism similar to that is responsible, perfectly natural. you then continue to insist little men are responsible. 'look at all those floaters', you tell me, 'it must be their poo poo being accidentally reported!'

despite how it may seem this example represents the folly quite well actually, as if I were to point out that even if indulged, those little men must regardless have eyes similar to a telescope, which they would then use to see then report back to my brain, you'll then tell me 'nah. they use magic to see!'. just as you claim that your oneness infinitum can exist without any material components because....well, just because.

see?

for crying out loud, on what basis do you invoke supernatural explanations when perfectly natural and particularly logical ones exist?

hope that helps....

For self conscious existence of a living being.
err, once again, because?

Mind has never required the material. The material is merely a temporary - and very temporary - vehicle for the interpolation of mind into physical realms: which themselves are a creation of Mind.
reading your software/hardware example to plaetton seems to show where you remain monumentally confused or are indulging in some sort of casuistry or the other. you seem to be using the abstract and consciousness, or 'Mind' (for some reason spelled with a capital letter), interchangeably. they are NOT the same thing

and despite that yes, even the abstract, let alone 'mind', does depend on the material, as it can in no way manifest without the material. material is the basis for everything that manifests. without it the abstract is, essentially, nothing. can the reverse be stated? no, not really.

at the very best, and depending on context, one could posit that the abstract and the material have always existed simultaneously. claiming consciousness has always existed or manifested, on the other hand, and existed without any matter at that, is clearly ridiculous. it borders on being demented, really

If the time comes that they are able to create the sort of biological tool that mind utilizes, that is not inconceivable. Bear in mind though, (no pun intended), that they accomplish same with mind.
dear me. what mind? where is this magical being? so I build a biological tool, show you all it's workings, how it makes its calculations that lead to its being conscious, and you still assert a tooth fairy somewhere is responsible?! simply because it's biological? and see above as to just how useful or possible 'mind' is on its own

there is no difference between this your thinking and say claims that we couldn't be or descend from apes because we're somehow special, this even after being shown how evolution works.

and stop abusing the definition of mind

The only people that subscribe to magic of the sort that you lot accuse others of, are people such as yourself who insist that the great cosmos and all that it bears simply just "poofed" into existence abracadabra. You are the ones subscribing to such dreamland nonsense. We rather logically insist that it has a logical and intelligent precursor.
I see. logical and intelligent precursor, one more 'sophisticated' than us I warrant, that just poofed itself into existence instead, is surely more logical...

I also note the use of the word 'great' to describe the universe. can your Mind see just how drenched in subjective that is? definitely indicates what your motivation for all this is. how so special all this is for you. specially designed and perfect.... to and for you

and sticking with the word 'great', your supposed creator, oh once again, is he not supposedly even greater?

this is why you should stick with FSM, he doesn't fill your head nonsense unlike jesus, amadohia and all the others you mention

Yes and our point is and has always been that consciousness or intelligence of any sort cannot be created by random undesigned natural events. An intelligent mind must necessarily be involved.

The fact that that the creation of AI (if it eventually happens) will be and could only have been a result of the work of an intelligent mind makes the case for a Creator stronger and the case for an origin from random undesigned events much more unlikely.
no it hasn't. certainly not always. abi do you want me to dig up posts where you made certain harebrained assertions? eg, where you claim our friends, the taxi drivers, increase in brain size is due to spirits sending down special beams as opposed to, you know, their brain size increasing in that area as a result of their using that part of their brains more? similar to muscle mass increase from regular exercise? or have you forgotten?

actually, this very op has repeatedly asserted 'mind' exists without matter. he makes the claim, and very boldly in the op, that the material 'cannot explain consciousness', something you no doubt support. no?

considering this, how ai would exist without spirit power escapes me. mayhaps you can clarify? if spirit power is not necessary, then what is the point of the soul? why the requirement that mind be responsible for the creation of the material if mind itself requires the material?

or, are you suggesting that these scientists are going to piss all over known natural laws and create a.....spirit?

or what? are you going to assert there are different types of 'mind'? based on what? an a$$pull? after you're shown working ai you're going to claim there's another sort of intelligence that works using...magic?

also, since when where you quoting me again, oh great creator of the merry go round?
Christianity EtcRe: Three Arguments For God's Existence by wiegraf:
What do machines dream of? New images released by Google give us one potential answer: hypnotic landscapes of buildings, fountains and bridges merging into one.
Thepictures, whichveer frombeautiful toterrifying, were created by the company’s image recognition neural network , whichhas been “taught” to identifyfeatures such as buildings, animals and objectsin photographs.
Theywere created by feeding a picture into the network, asking it to recognise a feature of it, and modify the picture toemphasise the feature it recognises. Thatmodifiedpicture is then fed back into the network, whichis again tasked torecognise features and emphasise them, and so on. Eventually, the feedbackloopmodifies the picture beyond all recognition.
At a low level, the neural network mightbetasked merely to detectthe edges on an image. In that case, the picture becomespainterly, an effect that will beinstantly familiarto anyone whohas experience playing aboutwithphotoshopfilters:
Butif the neural networkis tasked withfinding a more complex feature – suchas animals – in an image, it ends up generating a much more disturbing hallucination:
Ultimately, the software can even run on an image whichis nothing more than random noise, generating features that are entirely of its own imagination.
Here’s what happens if you task a networkfocused on finding building features withfinding and enhancing them in a featureless image:
Thepicturesare stunning, butthey’re more than justfor show. Neural networks are a common feature of machine learning: ratherthan explicitly programmea computerso that it knows how torecognise an image, the company feeds it images and lets it piecetogether the key features itself.
Butthat can result in software that is ratheropaque. It’s difficult toknow what features the software is examining, and whichit has overlooked. For instance, asking the networktodiscoverdumbbellsin a picture of random noise reveals it thinks that a dumbbellhas to have a musculararm gripping it:
Thesolutionmight betofeed it more images of dumbbellssitting on the ground, until it understands that the arm isn’t an intrinsicpart of the dumbbell.
“One of the challenges of neural networks is understanding what exactly goes on ateach layer. We know that aftertraining, each layer progressively extractshigher and higher-level features of the image, until the final layer essentially makes a decision on what the image shows. For example, the first layer may look for edges or corners. Intermediate layers interpretthe basicfeatures to look for overall shapes or components, suchas a dooror a leaf. Thefinal few layers assemble those into complete interpretations– these neurons activate in response to verycomplex things suchas entirebuildingsor trees,” explain the Google engineers on the company’s researchblog.
“One way to visualise what goes on is toturn the networkupsidedown and ask it to enhance an input image in sucha way as toelicit a particular interpretation,” they add. “Say you want toknow what sort of image would result in ‘banana’. Start withan image full of random noise, then gradually tweak the image towards what the neural net considers a banana.”
Theimage recognition software has already made it into consumer products.Google’s new photoservice, Google Photos, features the optionto searchimages withtext: entering “dog”, for instance, will pullout every image Google can find whichhas a dog in it (and occasionally images with other quadrupedalmammals, as well).
So there youhave it: Androids don’t justdream of electricsheep; they also dream of mesmerising, multicoloured landscapes.

I didn't say that all were equally harmful but the idea that one group of people have the answers to all of life's questions and that anyone else is inferior is the foundation for many a conflict.

As to your question about who is more dangerous between the fundamentalist Xtian or the Buddhist - that depends very much on which corner of the world you reside in. Many a non-Buddhist has been slaughtered in south east Asia by Buddhist nutcases.

What religious groups call 'reform' usually amounts to ignoring the more inconvenient aspects of the religious texts - when was the last time you heard a Xtian minister speak out against usury for example?

Personally I don't want any of them to reform - all self-proclaiming religious sheep should be made to follow every tenet of their religion. Let them deal with the inconvenience of their ignorance to the fullest.
I'll note some selfishness might be both of helpful and unavoidable while adhering to a worldview, but fully agree it's a -if not the most prevalent then somewhere thereabouts - cause of conflict on this rock

Second paragraph is true as well, but the point is it's a hell of a lot more difficult to justify say murder using vanilla Buddhism than xtianity. Same applies to xtanity contrasted to Islam (at least NT), etc etc

Even secular humanists commit crimes, no? Can they justify it using humanistic principles? I think not. Muslims, on the other, just need to point to numerous hadith's and the Koran, and they do

Last 2 paragraphs, wouldn't all us bystanders love that? Watching the hypocrites fluff about? But realistically, we cant always allow for that. If Islam in today's world is allowed to roam about then.... Isis.

They're not exactly harmless neighbors. And theres no guaranty of an implosion within Islam even if it's adherents witness it's folly in all its glory. Polls like this one suggest that. Brainwashing is deep in these folk

What can I say? Birds of the same feather. This is the same way Plaetton's calls the tooth fairy hard teaching.

You guys are just kids, honestly. If I didn't know better I would think you were 12 years old or so.
Ser Pot, there is a point there. About $hitte

veldano: Football is made up of subjective feeling, of suggestion and, in that, Anfield is unbeatable. Put a $hit hanging from a stick in the middle of this passionate, crazy stadium and there are people who will tell you it's a work of art. It's not: it's a shit hanging from a stick.
Now now, this is sort of contradictory. He claims it's all subjective, therefore what's $hitte to one is another's art. However, there are a few things that can be objectively verified, yes? Also, if we set our standards, we can then ascertain if a given proposal is $hitte or no, yes? So if senor veldano's subjective standard is flair, that is what he classifies as beautiful, then yes, that match was '$hit on a stick'

Here though, the op is addressing good ol' atheists. I would like to assume he has an idea of what most of us are interested in; objective truths.

Knowing this we can definitely classify the op (and just about everything you post or cheerlead) as first rate $hitte trying to pass itself off as suya. Basically, and as usual, inevitably and inexorably it will lead to your trying to pass off grand, fluffy, empty declarations with authority, about matters you cannot possibly know, as objective truths. (Hence the questions from oga kay about the metaphysical (at least I think that's why kay asks)).

In other words, $hitte on a stick as far we're concerned. Nothing near objective. In fact, a lot of it outright false sef. But all dressed up beautifully, trying to pass itself as something it's not (especially when your bardship pens it himself)

If you insist, examples from the op of your empty and/or subjective noise

op: The existence of the universe demands an explanation. The order of the physical universe which ensures it adheres to laws which can be inferred suggests an intelligence behind the universe.
From the very first grand assertion we note the folly.

Oya, the universe demands an explanation? Assuming I allowed that, exactly why is your god exempt?? The universe demands an explanation yet the supposedly more 'ordered' god does not?! Curious. Please apply your standards consistently.

But let's ignore the stark hypocrisy and move on, for now. Where do you even see order? Where you see the beauty and order of say childbirth you conveniently ignore the disorder of earthquakes and floods. This has pointed out to you time and again.

And beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no? All the cows that end up in that baby's bele during it's lifetime would certainly find that birth mighty ugly and disorderly.

Snoqxx was going on about being dazzled by 'code' in DNA, which you predictably cheerlead. He forgets to mention that any programmer that coded like that would literally be hanged, quartered and drawn even in this age. I highly doubt notorious pedants would stand for a codebase in which, by some estimates, over 90% is useless. How so very ordered. The nonsense in there includes bits from viruses to stuff we or our ancestors have not used in millions of years. We share 50% of our dna with bananas. Please, do tell why? Code reuse? Well, if so, I would wonder why reuse all that useless code.

If it's the process of evolution that delights, then one would then ask where's the house cleaning? The garbage collection or it's equivalent? Even your harddisk cleans up after itself (if allowed ie) so really? We mere mortals can manage that yet some supposed super-designer just mess about? If that's beautiful or orderly code, then beauty (and order in this case) truly is in the eye of the beholder.

This your order is the antrophic principle on steroids. For instance, you'll claim that I'm being shallow, that suffering is a good thing. This to counter my point about natural disasters like earthquakes. I'll point out that you're ridiculously self-centered, and you can only state this because you are not one of those billions of children who have died through history from sheer hunger. Children so hungry they do not even have the strength to swap flies right on their irises. I highly doubt they found their suffering a good thing. Nor would all the other species we lord over.

Indeed, you would miss the fact that an alien lifeform, not even neccesarily carbon based, may draw the same conclusions as you; that the universe was specially ordered just for it or it's species or its type of life. You'll miss that were the universe radically different to what we have in this one, and you happened to exist in it in some other form, you'd still draw the same conclusions; that every thing was special custom made just for you

No. There's good reason we spend untold resources on say medical sciences, trying to conquer nature; because it is ridiculously chaotic. it's a mess and we are doing our best to make sense of it and bend it to our will. It was not designed for us; we were designed by it. We now seek to conquer it. That's it. You should be proud to be a member of the one species out of the billions we have known lucky enough to have the tools that could perhaps dominate it. And that's it, that should be enough for you, instead of all the selfish mumbo jumbo

Ok, moving on to number 2....

wait...

wtf am I doing this?? Haven't we done this a million times?!

For the love of your god, do you have something reasonable, something objective?? Rather than joshthefirst with poetry??

One can stomach only so much $hit...

They announced 3? I thought they were dropping it. I though the 2 game hinted at ending the cycle.

I remember popping in randomly and unprepared, half health and all just to test the waters and expecting a proper beating, on orsten and smough, then bizzarely acquiring the sharingan. They suddenly became very slow, I near untouchable. I left there feeling like a boss.

The battlin' with arturias and manus (those 2 in particular make you bounce around, shield not enough on most builds), the setup and the feels of those battlin' sef. Even just the unexpected black knight gave the chills

Rarely got that in part 2, so meh about part 3

Need to see what new is planned for fallout before I get hyped or not. Anything in particular to look out for?

Christianity EtcRe: Africa, Foreign Religions And Cultural Genocide. by wiegraf: 7:20pm On Jun 07, 2015
Both sides here seem to be overstating their cases

African society was certainly not perfect; no culture is and no culture could conceivably be so. For example, and particularly with africa, the silly insistence on oral traditions boggles the mind. It's near as foolish as it gets - assuming your objective is progress of a certain variety ie, which just happens to be the sort of progress we value today. It's no coincidence that the dominant society on this rock is the one that first came up with the printing press

And Islam didn't particularly do much for Europe. The same Islam rapes our north mercilessly. Greece/Rome did a hell of a lot more for the enlightenment, so it could be argued that they just rediscovered their heritage after the cancer that was the Byzantine era

Heck, greko-roman cupture arguably did more than islam for the turks/Persians. And let's not forget they had vibrant cultures before the advent of Islam, just as a lot of Europe did before xtianity, which they had the good sense to record and evolve.

But the greatest folly, and conspicuosly at that, is from those who just swallow insulting, obvious garbage. Garbage that insists you're inherently inferior. Just wholesale acceptance of any nonsense. Where to even begin when dealing with these people...

And yes, not every European would have shown up thinking themselves superior, some would show up knowing we're all equals on this rock (some even loathing their own cultures), but that's sort of besides the point. The point is quite a lot of them showed with the goal of conolizing us, and not benignly, and they set up to reprogram us. And bizzarely an inordinate amount of us just blindly bought (and continue to) buy it.

Weird sheeple are sheeple.

cosmos 2014 ep 2:
This is a story about you and me and your dog.
There was a time not long ago before dogs.
They didn't exist.
Now there are big ones, small ones, snugglers, guardians, hunters.
Every kind of dog you could possibly want.
How did that happen? It's not just dogs.
Where did all the different kinds of living creatures come from? The answer is a transforming power that sounds like something straight out of a fairy tale or myth, but it's no such thing.
Let's go back across 30,000 years to a time before dogs, when our ancestors lived in the endless winter of the last ice age.
Our ancestors were wanderers living in small bands.
They slept beneath the stars.
The sky was their storybook, calendar, an instruction manual for living.
It told them when the bitter colds would come, when the wild grains would ripen, when the herds of caribou and bison would be on the move.
Their idea of home was Earth itself.
But they lived in fear of other hungry creatures the mountain lions and the bears that competed with them for the same prey and the wolves that threatened to carry off and devour the most vulnerable among them.
All the wolves want to get at the bone, but most of them are too frightened to come close enough.
Their fear is due to high levels of stress hormones in their blood.
It's a matter of survival.
Because coming too close to humans can be fatal.
But a few wolves-- due to natural variations-- have lower levels of those hormones.
This makes them less afraid of humans.
This wolf has discovered what a branch of his ancestors figured out some 15,000 years ago an excellent survival strategy; the domestication of humans.
Let the humans do the hunting, don't threaten them, and they'll let you scavenge their garbage.
You'll eat more regularly, you'll leave more offspring, and those offspring will inherit your disposition.
This selection for tameness would be reinforced with each generation until that line of wild wolves evolves into dogs.
You might call this "survival of the friendliest.
" Then as now, this was a good deal for the humans, too.
The scavenging dogs weren't just a sanitation squad.
They worked security.
As this interspecies partnership continued over time, the dogs' appearance changed also.
Cuteness became a selective advantage.
The more adorable you were, the better chance you had to live and pass on your genes to another generation.
What began as an alliance of convenience became a friendship that deepened over time.
To see what happens next, let's leave our distant ancestors of some 20,000 years ago to visit the more recent past during an intermission in the Ice Age.
This break in the climate starts a revolution.
Instead of wandering, people are settling down.
There's something new in the world villages.
People still hunt and gather, but now they also produce food and clothing agriculture.
The wolves have traded their freedom in exchange for a steady meal.
They've given up their right to choose a mate.
Now the humans choose for them.
They consistently kill off the dogs that can't be trained; the ones that bite the feeding hand.
And they breed the dogs that please them.
They nurture those dogs that do their bidding hunting, herding, guarding, hauling, and keeping them company.
From every litter, the humans select the puppies they like best.
Over the generations, the dogs evolve.
This kind of evolution is called "artificial selection" or "breeding."

Turning wolves into dogs was the first time we humans took evolution into our own hands.
And we've been doing it ever since to shape all the plants and animals that we depend on.
In a blink of cosmic time, just 15,000 or 20,000 years, we turned gray wolves into all the kinds of dogs we love today.
Think of it.
Every breed of dog you've ever seen was sculpted by human hands.
Many of our best friends-- the most popular breeds-- were created in only the last few centuries.
We don suffer

guardian: Four helipads will cluster around one of the largest domes in the world, like sideplates awaiting the unveiling of a momentous main course, which will be jacked up 45 storeys into the sky above the deserts of Mecca. It is the crowning feature of the holy city’s crowning glory, the superlative summit of what will be the world’s largest hotel when it opens in 2017.

With 10,000 bedrooms and 70 restaurants, plus five floors for the sole use of the Saudi royal family, the £2.3bn Abraj Kudai is an entire city of five-star luxury, catering to the increasingly high expectations of well-heeled pilgrims from the Gulf.

Modelled on a “traditional desert fortress”, seemingly filtered through the eyes of a Disneyland imagineer with classical pretensions, the steroidal scheme comprises 12 towers teetering on top of a 10-storey podium, which houses a bus station, shopping mall, food courts, conference centre and a lavishly appointed ballroom.

Located in the Manafia district, just over a mile south of the Grand Mosque, the complex is funded by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and designed by the Dar Al-Handasah group, a 7,000-strong global construction conglomerate that turns its hand to everything from designing cities in Kazakhstan to airports in Dubai. For the Abraj Kudai, it has followed the wedding-cake pastiche style of the city’s recent hotel boom: cornice is piled upon cornice, with fluted pink pilasters framing blue-mirrored windows, some arched with a vaguely Ottoman air. The towers seem to be packed so closely together that guests will be able to enjoy views into each other’s rooms.

Mecca's mega architecture casts shadow over hajj
“The city is turning into Mecca-hattan,” says Irfan Al-Alawi, director of the UK-based Islamic Heritage Research Foundation, which campaigns to try to save what little heritage is left in Saudi Arabia’s holy cities. “Everything has been swept away to make way for the incessant march of luxury hotels, which are destroying the sanctity of the place and pricing normal pilgrims out.”

The Grand Mosque is now loomed over by the second tallest building in the world, the Abraj al-Bait clocktower, home to thousands more luxury hotel rooms, where rates can reach £4,000 a night for suites with the best views of the Kaaba – the black cube at the centre of the mosque around which Muslims must walk. The hotel rises 600m (2,000ft) into the air, projecting a dazzling green laser-show by night, on a site where an Ottoman fortress once stood – razed for development, along with the hill on which it sat.

The list of heritage crimes goes on, driven by state-endorsed Wahhabism, the hardline interpretation of Islam that perceives historical sites as encouraging sinful idolatry – which spawned the ideology that is now driving Isis’s reign of destruction in Syria and Iraq. In Mecca and Medina, meanwhile, anything that relates to the prophet could be in the bulldozer’s sights. The house of Khadijah, his first wife, was crushed to make way for public lavatories; the house of his companion Abu Bakr is now the site of a Hilton hotel; his grandson’s house was flattened by the king’s palace. Moments from these sites now stands a Paris Hilton store and a gender-segregated Starbucks.

“These are the last days of Mecca,” says Alawi. “The pilgrimage is supposed to be a spartan, simple rite of passage, but it has turned into an experience closer to Las Vegas, which most pilgrims simply can’t afford.”

Along the western edge of Mecca, the Jabal Omar development, which will accommodate 100,000 people. Photograph: Jabal Omar Development
The city receives around 2 million pilgrims for the annual Hajj, but during the rest of the year more than 20 million visit the city, which has become a popular place for weddings and conferences, bringing in annual tourism revenue of around £6bn. The skyline bristles with cranes, summoning thickets of hotel towers to accommodate the influx. Along the western edge of the city the Jabal Omar development now rises, a sprawling complex that will eventually accommodate 100,000 people in 26 luxury hotels – sitting on another gargantuan plinth of 4,000 shops and 500 restaurants, along with its own six-storey prayer hall.

The Grand Mosque, meanwhile, is undergoing a £40bn expansion to double the capacity of its prayer halls – from 3 million worshippers currently to nearly 7 million by 2040. Planned like a vast triangular slice of cake, the extension goes so far back that most worshippers won’t even be able to see the Ka’bah.

“It is just like an airport terminal,” says Alawi. “People have been finding they’re praying in the wrong direction because they simply don’t know which way the mosque is any more. It has made a farce of the whole place.”

Christianity EtcRe: Ananta Bijoy Das Hacked To Death For Criticizing Islam by wiegraf:
just for you I've brought out crayons. Be glad!

T'will likely be the last though as, clearly, you're too foolish to hold a conversation with

EzioAuditore:
When I tell this plonker that he can't read he thinks I'm berating or insulting him but by God, its the truth. I asked you to show me where I said all ip addresses are hardware locked, it seems you can't? Okay you're the one who's lying there.
Yes, ip addresses can be cloaked and if you read or rather understood my post I did mention it there.
Seems you're still confused. We'll get to that later...

EzioAuditore:
Now the issue of public IP addresses being traced, this stilton muffle actually thinks it is not possible? Then ask your worthless self what's the use of cloaking it in the first place? A good example of that application is how pirates are sometimes being located, now if this were impossile or a lie like you siad, how do you think that's possble?
And do tell where I state, or even imply, that public IPs can't be traced?

And you ask people about their english comprehension??

I repeat for the nth time, in all this your walka walka you've not once shown how you'll get the private network id of a PC. Once again, claiming there's a 'true ip' address that can always be tracked is a (foolish) LIE, or you're simply impressively ignorant yet still talking out of your a$$

So, assuming honesty (and that is likely), you're either ignorant or r3tarded. Well, there is the one other option....

EzioAuditore:
Let me prove to you how foolish you are. I told this bellend IPs can be tracked so be careful, he in turn says all ips change. Now he did not specify, he just said it as if its a standard function of ips. Now did I telll him or come to the conclusion that ips can't be masked?
Aha, here's the confusion I speak of

Which is it?

YOU ADMIT HE DID NOT SPECIFY YET YOU CLAIM HE MEANT ALL IP ADDRESSES??

Why? Think slowly about it. Only an eediot or an ignorant would do that, as he mentions mac addresses specifically contrast them with IP addresses.

And what is the difference between IP and mac addresses in this context? Mac addresses are permament, IP addresses not so much and often are cloacked. That's it....

If you could not see his simple point, then one can only assume you're ignorant of the basics. Eg, you do not know the difference between Mac and ip addresses, or you are under the impression that ip addresses are locked.

Now, you do seem to not be simply ignorant, which is why I ask you the simple questions; how do dynamic IPs work? etc etc. Reasoning through these should have brought you to the conclusion that you aren't stating anything differently to him, you aren't contradicting him, just mindlessly spouting expletives. But alas, even that was too much to ask of you

However, I concede this is partly my fault. I apologise, as I should have realized sooner that your problem isn't that you're either ignorant or stoopid; it's that you're both of ignorant and foolish. And hence your curious blunders. As you'll demonstrate just about.....

EzioAuditore:
What did your soggy brain tell you I meant when I said one has to be careful? But if truely you believe that ips can't be traced then you're more naïve than your whole sisterhood of travelling gits put together. But if you're still adamant, you're free to send me an email, please ensure you disable all vpns or similar applications. I dare you!
........Now!

This here is you demonstrating 'full r3tard' again

If I sent you an email, it wouldn't be sent to you from my address. For instance, if I used yahoo, it would be yahoo's servers that would send the mail, therefore it would yahoo's IP that would be logged. I wouldn't be sending directly from my PC, or my network even. No. It would be from yahoo.

That you don't know something so basic is....well

Even if I were using say outlook, it would likely reroute through yahoo's mail servers (depending on the nature of the software involved. you'd have to setup your PC as a mail server in most scenarios, etc etc. There likely is a way to simply just send a direct request, something similar to CURL or protocol used when communicating directly with telephony devices like GSM modems for instance, but most software packages would force you to setup some sort of mail server for various reasons. eg security, due to spam certain servers only allow emails from a whitelist, the software developers themselves might not want to encourage spammers, etc etc)

I'll spare the fact NLs messaging system uses NLs own accounts as a proxy until you opt out.... I'll just excuse that...that would be asking for too much from you....

Considering all's that been said, you should have realized or figured some of this before making such a harebrained challenge. The only excuse is, of course, your lovely mix of ignorance and silly. Perfect folly....

EzioAuditore:
Its no wonder you're an atheist, you my friend, you're just st*pid.
You're now copying my insults? I'm somewhat flattered?

Well, not really...

EzioAuditore:
The w*nker has no shame telling me I don't know what MaC address is but heresi the question, even though ip and mac addresses are similar, they have different funtions, a mac address will not go beyond your router, now how can you in your infinite stupidity confuse me talking about tracing ip addresses for tracing MAC addresses?
See above

And this particular lecture, where from? English comprehension? What gives you the impression I think mac addresses need be sent with a request (or that you couldn't fake one for that matter)?

EzioAuditore:
Like I said, the computers or devices you have connected are also assigned ip addresses, if you're connected the your device will have an ip (unless if cloaked) that can be reached from anywhere on the internet. If you're behind a router, the router will setip a private network that your device is connected to, assigning ip adresses out of a private range that isn't actually visible on the internet. All internet traffic must go through that router and will appear on the internet to have come through that router. A mac adress cannot be traced online, or through the internet I don't even know why this pillock will bring it into this discussion, but your public ip given by your router can, its like your postal address. But like I said, if you're still denying, respond to the dare above. Utterly clueless, yet can't seem to just shut up when dealing with powers beyond him. Probably why you're an atheist, that and the fact that you're well..not very sharp.
And you forget where I state literally millions of addresses can be behind a router/network. And how that can be complicated even further adding a few proxies.

Basic stuff methinks needs no more restating.

Basically, you're an ignorant rambling gibberish. Some of it was funny, but alas it grows old

And well, I gain nothing from educating you. You're, again, seemingly too foolish.

Kudos, unless you actually have a functional brain deep in that calabash of yours and you post something decent.. And use paragraphs
