Bros it does not work that way, Lagos may have Oil but just because Ondo has. I did my Youth service in Ese-Odo LGA in Ondo state, let me inform you that only 2 LGAs are oil producing in Ondo State viz; Ese-Odo and Ilaje. Out of these 2 LGAs, Ese-Odo is Oil prospecting (Up till today not even a barrel of oil has been produced there tho' OSOPADEC allocavate fund to them as oil producing LGA). Only 1 Oil company (Exxon Mobil) is located at Orioke near Igbokoda - Ilaje LGA), Obat is just there for fishery.

Well it's good but if they are permitted to do so just because of prospecting 10,000/day while Anambra State producing up to 50,000/day is rejected, it will tell a lot about the incoming government.

Fashola and Tinubu being present at the event would have stylishly condemned that Obas hatred speech immediately. One can easily conclude that both are in support of the speech hence the mute attitude they maintained. TInubu and Fashola takes the most blame for this mess. We are talking of change in attitude and tribal sentiments, an integrated Nigeria where everyone is free to live and work anywhere within the country. Let see how the ibos will react to this during Saturday's election.

I agree we need to strengthen our democracy but the issue goes beyond "opposition" parties. The issue s that there are regional or ethnic interests and it is difficult to see how this can be resolved within a party. If you observed the National Conference,disagreements were along regional rather than party lines and so this demonstrates that the "enterprise" of political parties is not politics but power brokerage. Goodluck Jonathan has been in power for 5 years .I have no doubt in my mind he would have found politicians in the North who would agree to a change in derivation from 13 to 25% if he would guarantee them to use incumbency to secure the presidency for them. The fis He did NOTHING for the Niger Delta whilst enriching Militants. Has gas flaring stopped? Has Ogoni land been cleaned up? I could go on and on. That is what competition has brought and we are loving it.
