Head coach of Sierra Leone national team, John Keister, says his Leone Stars side are now under pressure to beat the Super Eagles and prove Friday’s result was not a fluke.

The Leone Stars came from four goals down to draw 4-4 draw against the Super Eagles at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on Friday.

Keister, who played for Sierra Leone in their famous 1-0 win over the Eagles in Freetown in 2001 says they must now prove that Friday’s result was not a one-off.

Sports / Barcelona Target Neymar As Messi Replacement by WinningGoals: 10:19am On Nov 16, 2020
Barcelona will reportedly look to bring Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar back to the club if Lionel Messi does indeed depart in the near future.

Neymar was tipped to complete a sensational switch back to Camp Nou over the summer, but with cash-strapped Barcelona heavily restricted with their spending, the Brazilian forward remained at the Parc des Princes.

PSG’s sporting director Leonardo has since confirmed that talks are underway regarding a new contract for Neymar, who is currently tied down to the French champions until 2022.

Sports / Ever Banega The Danger Man Man United Need To Stop by WinningGoals: 2:49pm On Aug 16, 2020
When news surfaced in May that a group of Sevilla players had jeopardized La Liga’s impending restart by breaking lockdown restrictions for a joint family get-together, there were no prizes for guessing one of the culprits: Ever Banega.

The Argentine midfielder has a long-held reputation for being, to put it kindly, not quite the sharpest tool in the shed.

He demonstrated that trait again just a few weeks later, shortly before the return of the Europa League, by flouting social distancing measures in a Valencia night club where 12 employees had received positive Covid-19 tests.

Fortunately, on both occasions Banega subsequently tested negative and he is now preparing to use his laser-like passing ability – which contrasts sharply with his off-the-pitch image – to stand between Manchester United and a place in the Europa League final.

Sports / Sunday Transfer Gossips: Messi, Pochettino, Foster, Gabriel, Kean, Hendrick, Sma by WinningGoals: 2:42pm On Aug 16, 2020
Manchester City believe they are in pole position to sign Lionel Messi and reunite him with Pep Guardiola if the 33-year-old Argentine striker leaves Barcelona.

Former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is the leading candidate to be the next Barcelona manager, with the club planning to sack Quique Setien in the coming days.

Watford’s 37-year-old former England keeper Ben Foster has become a summer transfer target for both Chelsea and Everton.

Chelsea are inching closer to a deal to sign long-term defensive target Ben Chilwell, 23, from Leicester.

West Ham are holding out for a fee in excess of £80m for Chelsea target Declan Rice, 21.

Ex-Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe doesn’t plan to return to football until Christmas as he recharges his batteries following his departure from the Cherries.

Lille’s Brazilian centre-back Gabriel, 22, who has been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal, will be leaving the club this summer, according to the owner

Sports / One-off Champions League Format Helps Leipzig - Nagelsmann by WinningGoals: 8:34am On Aug 13, 2020
A one-off Champions League quarter-final will help relative newcomers RB Leipzig take on Atletico Madrid, says manager Julian Nagelsmann.

The Bundesliga side have never made the knockout stage before and face an Atleti side who have twice reached the final in the last six years.

“They have a lot of experience over two legs, but anything can happen in just one game,” Nagelsmann said.

“We will all be thrown into cold water, because of this situation.”

The winners of the quarter-final in Lisbon will face Paris St-Germain in the last four.

Leipzig will not have Timo Werner available after he signed for Chelsea for £54m.

Werner scored 34 goals in all competitions as Nagelsmann’s side finished third in the Bundesliga.

“We don’t have Werner and I won’t say who will start,” said Nagelsmann.

Sports / Jadon Sancho Is The Best Young Player In World - Rio Ferdinand by WinningGoals: 6:41am On Aug 13, 2020
Borussia Dortmund and England forward Jadon Sancho is the world’s best young player and Manchester United need to sign top stars, says Rio Ferdinand.

Sancho, 20, is United’s top target but Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says he will not be leaving.

The Bundesliga club set a deadline of 10 August to agree any deal for Sancho and want about £100m for the player.

“Manchester United should be in the market for the best players,” said former United defender Ferdinand.

Ferdinand said Sancho, who only turned 20 in March, is the “best” young player on the planet “bar none”.

Sports / Mbappe Could Return For PSG Against Atalanta by WinningGoals: 10:15am On Aug 12, 2020
Kylian Mbappe could return for Paris St-Germain in their Champions League quarter-final with Atalanta in Lisbon.

The Frenchman has recovered from an ankle injury and head coach Thomas Tuchel says Mbappe will feature if “nothing extraordinary happens”.

However, Tuchel did then suggest that Mbappe would most likely be used off the bench against the Italians.

“We are really pleased to have the possibility of finishing the match with Kylian on the pitch,” said Tuchel.

“That gives Neymar someone who likes playing alongside him.”

World cup winner Mbappe, 21, sprained his ankle during PSG’s French Cup final win over Saint-Etienne on 24 July, but he has recovered in time for the ‘Final Eight’ stage of the Champions League.

Sports / We Need More Players For Our Small Squad - Nuno Espirito Santo by WinningGoals: 6:59am On Aug 12, 2020
Wolves need to sign more players to make their squad stronger, said boss Nuno Espirito Santo after their Europa League quarter-final defeat by Sevilla.

Their season lasted 383 days and 59 games, with 11 of the 14 players who featured against Crusaders on 25 July 2019 also playing in Duisburg.

Wolves will not be in Europe next season after finishing seventh in the Premier League.

“We need more players to help us, it’s a small squad,” Nuno said.

Wolves were knocked out by Lucas Ocampos’ late header for Sevilla, after Raul Jimenez had an early penalty saved.

They only used 21 players in the Premier League this season, three fewer than anybody else.

Sports / Tuesday Transfer Gossips: Sancho, Ramsey, Smalling, Havertz, Traore, Hendrick by WinningGoals: 7:27pm On Aug 11, 2020
Aaron Ramsey is not wanted by new manager Andrea Pirlo at Juventus and the 29-year-old Wales midfielder is free to find another club.

Manchester United will continue their pursuit of England winger Jadon Sancho despite Borussia Dortmund's claim the 20-year-old will remain at the club next season

Inter Milan have identified Manchester United's 30-year-old defender Chris Smalling, on loan at Serie A side Roma this season, as a transfer target.

Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi, 33, will join MLS side Inter Miami pending the successful completion of a medical.

Barcelona are unlikely to pay more than 15m euros (£13.4m) for Manchester City's wantaway Spanish defender Eric Garcia, 19.

Chelsea have agreed a five-year contract with Bayer Leverkusen and Germany forward Kai Havertz but have been told the 21-year-old will cost £90m.

Sports / Europa League Final Eight Begins - All You Need To Know by WinningGoals: 3:28pm On Aug 10, 2020
Manchester United will face FC Copenhagen on Monday (20:00 BST) in the quarter-finals of the Europa League as seven games in 12 days decide the winner of the 2019-20 competition.

Wolves will also be in quarter-final action against Sevilla on Tuesday in a mini-tournament dubbed ‘the final eight’, with all games taking place at four venues in Germany.

The two Premier League sides will meet in a semi-final in Cologne on 17 August if they both come through their quarter-finals. The final is in the same city on 21 August.

The winners will ensure a Champions League spot for next season – and having finished seventh in the Premier League, Wolves must win the tournament to be in Europe at all.

United finished third so are already in the 2020-12 Champions League group stage, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to secure his first major trophy as boss.
