Predstan: Its really a good thing to have created this thread. I need you to help me answer some of my questions in regard to studying in the State. I am a graduate of HND in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and I am willing to migrate to the US to study for Masters. My unofficial evaluation with WES is 3.6 and the official will be available soon (next week). I am also preparing for GRE and my test date is July 2nd. Now my question is this; Firstly. Are you going to advice that I apply for masters in Electrical engineering considering the job prospect in the state or what other course is more profitable. I heard IT is one of them best but can I switch from Electrical? although I major in telecommunications. Lastly, I can't afford the exorbitant tuition fee and my parent does not even have the statement of account to stand for at the US embassy. I need a fellowship amounting to tuition waiver to cater for my education. What's your take on my issue. I will be applying for Fall 19 session so all my decision would be between now and August so that I can apply early wait for a positive decision to come in. Lillian1004: I do smell that also cos I have only saw him go to Dubai and Kenya before. But he told me he has been to many European countries. Thanks for the advice I will let him know now that I am not doing anymore. I will try to study in Germany since that will only involve me opening a block account and deposit like 3.5 M into the account. I really appreciate. Thank you once again. You Have just save me from wasting my money. He has been disturbing me to start the payment today. You are welcome. Just be careful. Let's leave all the thanks to God. |

@Lillian1004
Please stay away from this dude and any other visa agent. He can't just be a visa agent if his Mom and Dad owns all these.
There are other countries to explore.... But if you were still studying I would have advised you take your tests and try to study with US F1 visa . |

LadyGuinivere: Madam are you OK? For real? Or you just decided to Josh the thread. You have been reading a thread that tries hard to promote honesty. And you are "confused" about using an agent that wants to mess up your profile. You are proud of this fact and in fact want only positive vibes. Let me join the previous poster. I hope you are banned.
Your likes are the reason why honest intending travellers are refused. Nonsense and ingredients I'm really worried about this person cause apart from the fact that she has stated all their plans here, she has also used her middle name as her moniker. Now imagine what an agent can do to this kind of person, I'm pretty sure she told the agent that money is not the problem. She needs help. Smh |

I commend everyone for the great write up so far. I will like to visit USA for2 weeks and I am trying to use the help of an agent. I am 28 yrs, graduate, I don’t have a job. But I have my own house, car and money. The agent is trying to fix me as a operational manager on his farm which will be use when filling the form. I am single but he also told me we are going to use married as my status with a kid. He told me his going to prepare everything I will be needing including appointment letter and marriage stuffs. After going through this great thread I am afraid to proceed with this agent of a thing. Please my brother and sisters I need your advice on this situation on ground. Thanks in advance What is your travel history like ? Like how much is he charging you? |

Like pointed out, why go back to pick them when they can come on their own? Be prepared for serious questioning @ POE if you eventually decide to go pick them.. your visa renewal is 50:50 This may be the reason he is going back.... I hope he doesn't get in trouble. |

I am wondering, is it possible I submit my ds-160 form a day to my interview ?? No, you should submit it days -if not a week - before your interview. |

jolowizzy11: nawa ooooo...no posting of transcripts again abi .. two guys got their visa approved yesterday and they refused to share it with us .....this thread is slowly becoming boring....thanks to those who take their time to help those in need of information ... Only two? I don't think they really issue visa like before..... This kinds of things hardly hide themselves. Maybe all there is are visa denials and people are simply ashamed to share. Even so, people should share... |

femi312: 1) I am just saying you shouldn't generalize 2) Whether $10k or $27k,that sham is not something I support. I believe that money could be put into better use like down payment for house etc. As a genuine student with degrees,I believe there are many ladies you will get to meet and marry legally so far you have goals with good personality. The opportunities abound but it is left to you if you can live with the cultural differences. However, there are also some people on the other side of the divide who have to find a way by all means. Chai! No wonder! |

I have a quick question, my uncle invited me over for his wedding anniversary, so I'll be staying at his side and according to the form i filled , he is the one sponsoring my trip. But he said his account statement isn't needed, so he has refused to send his account statement.
Also do I have to schedule flight ticket before I go for the interview?
Thanks as I await your responses. No, don't buy anything till you procure your visa. You may not be asked about the statement of account, but things are really changing , so if he's inviting you, he should be ready to give it to you. Why not go with yours? How is your travel history? |

I expected the attacks to come from some people sha. But there are some others that don't want to go through the stress of school application, visa, studying for years in school and so on etc... They just want guaranteed citizenship right away so they can get on with their life and use it for their benefit and benefit of their family. Please those are the people i made this post for, thanks and God bless. In fact You should be cast and banned from Nairaland. Mtchheeew! Oshi! |

Vanessa77: Good morning house. I don't know if this is the right place to advertise this. I searched nairaland forum but couldnt find any similar topic. I am in need of cash. If you are interested in getting a US citizenship by marriage, contact me. Cost is N10million and must be a male. I'm sorry to inform you that the real price for this is $10,000 but you know Nigerians won't even fall for that. I suggest you try Ghanians and the likes...besides I wonder how many of us you can help at once! ...BUT! If you join a CNA program now, you should make that by the end of next year or so. If upgrade your studies, even better!! Read carefully between the lines you see here, everyone is seriously trying to study. |

zamony: . Hello @ladyG,please I really need you to help me out,.. I have filled my Ds-160form since March, and my appointment was May30,2018..but unfortunately I have a terrible accident with family my dad that wanna sponsor me died in the accident..i am a student gonna do my graduation soon,my dad want me to go to Texas, reunion tower to celebrate and as a graduation gift..but I lost him I eventually contact my broda to cancel and reschedule my appointment so they give me Sept 27 what I am afraid of now is the questions about who will sponsor my tourist/vacation and the name of my dad is already in the form...plZ I need your comment God bless you LadyGuinivere: Sorry about your loss. May God grant you the fortitude to bear the loss.
Your dad was the sponsor. He's now late. But you still want to to travel to the US ( to celebrate after a loss of a loved one :bear that in mind). That means you have another sponsor ) So fill a new form and do the needful
But I'm going to ask you to self evaluate. Young fellow. No discernible ties. Off to celebrate just after graduation. After a loss. In this economy and country.... Unless you guys are in the upper upper class of this country, that your story.... Es not working in my ear. Sorry. Just my opinion sha. I would advise you to wait a bit I'm deeply sorry about your Dad. I know how it feels..... I have been waiting for a guru to view this your case. All the while, I have been shocked and wondering about why you still want to travel after all this and the only thing that comes to mind is to vamoose from the country that hurt you so bad...Any way, my point is this, given the circumstance, there's no need to celebrate or go for any planned vacation at least till one year. P.S .....I hope no visa agent is involved in this. There is no such thing as trial, at this point, if you taint your record, just forget about US and Canada. |

sirjunzenblaze: Visa Delayed US Embassy: Lagos, Nigeria
1st INTERVIEW
8th June 2018 I got a scholarship from a High School to play American Football of $38 730 out of $40 730 Went with my sister as a minor who would also pay the $2000 left
Vo: Good morning. Can I have your passport and i20 Me: (I passed it) Vo: where are you going to? Me: I'm going to xxxx high School in Bleep USA to study and play American Football Vo: How did you get the school? Me: I got the school through a camp I attended where a coach was impressed with my size and skills and introduced me to xxxxx American football foundation where I sent my videos to the Founder xxxxxx and xxxxx who were impressed and referred me to their website where I registered and my profile was sent out to several high Schools, I had several interest but I chose Bleep high School because they best fit me and i have a relationship with the School staff and the football team Is among the best in their Conference. Vo: How long have you been playing football? Me: Since 2016 Me: I also took the standardized test, SSAT, and I got my enrolment contract. VO: (didnt say anything) VO: When are you supposed to graduate? Me: 2020 VO: After graduation what next? Me: I hope to get a College Scholarship to further my education and play football but If I don't then I would return to my Country to further my education at a University VO: Where would you be staying? Me: I would be staying in the School Dormitory and I have with me a letter from the school (I passed him the letter, he looks at it briefly then types for 3 minutes) VO: Unfortunately, you are ineligible for a visa at this time, the reasons are in this paper (he hands me my passport and the letter) Me: Thank you
He didn't talk about the $38,730 financial aid offered to me by the college, with an outstanding $2,000 to be paid by my sponsor. Also didn't ask for the Bank statement of my sponsor. Lots of visa applications were denied on that day.
HELP! WHAT WENT WRONG.
2nd INTERVIEW
29th June 2018 I got a new i20 with full scholarship this time from my school the next week, I applied again and got a date on the 29th of June.
I went to the embassy on the 29 of June i was placed on AP and asked just one question.
Vo: What has changed with your application? Me: when I got denied I contacted the school to let them know, And then they changed my partial scholarship to Full scholarship covering all my needs. Also they gave me a letter signed by the headmaster explaining my circumstances and my new enrollment contract. I hand It over to her, she types for a while.. Vo: I would hold on to these and get back to you.
I checked my status online today and saw refused. So so sad. What do I do? Please I need advice. School starts 29 July. It's most likely the fact that it's a high school and more on sports. However, your scholarship is kind of suspicious, how did you really get it and what did you do to get it changed on the I-20 so easily? I hope no agent is involved in this. |

LadyGuinivere: Nne I have patented this phrase o! You needs to be paying me royalty o!
No. They settle the VO's with money behind the scenes. That's the trash he probably feeds his clients and the narrative that you can fill your form yourself and walk in and get a visa annoys his trade This can make a visa agent stab someone. First hand experience. |
