Dear Prof. Wip7, its been a long time. Please i need your help on something very serious. Although its not Cyprus but you have helped out in the time past on such situations.

My boy needs to go back to the Philippines for Study, so i bought him a 1 way ticket to Manila pending when i get more money to buy his return. But i called the airline today because of the layover and they told me that they wont let him board unless i buy a return for him.

Please advice me as that is way beyond my budget for now.

Which airline, can this ticket be canceled and get refund instant?
Give me the traveling date, I will ask my office to check airline without return. Or we can do short return more cheaper!

A new traveler to Phil or had travelled there before ? If not new, then makes it easier!

Hello Mr. Wip, only one of my cousins has gotten his visa. My other cousin was told his name wasn’t on the list, alongside my friend. I am considering the Ok to board option. Please how do I go about it and how much is it?

Send me those requested docs for ok-to-board via my email for each applicant, I will get the ok-to-board done.

Acceptance letter, tuition fee payment receipt, international passport page, I will get them ticket

we just got all the documents ready today.
The earliest appointment time we got is Sept 10th and the school resumes 16th, I doubt if the visa can be ready.
So i need to think of other options.

For visa:
You don’t need appointment, just go any working day to MZ VIZE OFFICE for submission.

To update: MZ VIZE now requires appointments for submissions.

For ok-to-board
You will need payment receipt of tuition, acceptance/admission letter and return ticket(Turkish airline). It’s done within 24-72 hrs.

Kindly visit banks in your country of residence, they will tell you how to apply for loan and their requirements.

i believe any bank in Nigeria ranging from First bank, GTB and UBA. All these banks have been used by studies to pay abroad.

Hello @wip7 lovely job u doing here��, i got my payment confirmation from EUL and was told that my name has been sent to the embassy, i was told to apply for a transit visa, but on the turkey embassy site, there isn’t transit visa option, only tourists/businessperson visa- with purpose of trip being single transit? I will be some clarity on this plss, thanks

Get basic Nigerian food that are scarce to find. Winter is very deep and snows in Turkey so ensure you go along with very thick and warm clothes. Booths will be preferred. In Istanbul there are numerous stores selling used and new phones which you can find basic android phone 50-200$.

Ticket price is not fixed as it changes every hour/minutes. Price also depends on airline and date of traveling, 35 of my Students that arrived from Nigeria between July 10-August 15, we got one way for 300-370k naira ...and for return we got 420-520k.

Hi wip 7, good day. My cousin finally received an email yesterday. He went there this morning but was given back his passport and a green leaflet with the inscription “name not on the list”. Please what could this mean? Is there a need to be worried?

No need to get worried. He can inform his university that embassy claimed his name is not on their list so they can resend. Most times the university do send the names however, the embassy usually don’t update their list instantly so they give such to applicants and if the names are received in many cases (73%) they do contact the applicants to resubmit their passports.

There is no fixed processing period for Turkish embassy. This depends on volume of applicant, period (festive or non), response from the concerned University and sorting of names at the embassy. On average, 2-8 weeks. The semester starts in September, so still more time!

Okay Wip7 thanks very much for your feedback and advice.. Two people have adviced me to send the embassy another remember email. Because this is rushing period, that they may forget to send email or mistakenly skip someones name. One of them told me that am supposed to be contacted before this week runs out because throughout next week is holidays in Turkey august 12,13,14,15,16. But am yet to send the reminder email to the embassy because I sent them an email on 23/07/19. And they told me that they are just to get a feedback from the Turkish authority. So I feel that sending them another email might look as if am disturbing them or pressurizing them. What do You think bro??

You can remind after next week since holiday starts from this Friday upward till end of next week.

Just wait for the embassy to call you. Since the university already sent your name, the embassy will let you know when it’s ready to issue the visa.

All universities in Turkey/north Cyprus resume in sept for Fall semesters so you still have time.

I replied your email. No fixed amount stated for Turkish student visa but as a Phd student above 2.5 m will be fine considering living expenses and tuition in Turkey.

The university will be the one to tell you when the name is sent to embassy. It will be better to email or call them to ask when your details are sent to embassy.

In south or north Cyprus no restrictions on job for students. So students need to search for the job. Some find it hard to get job while some find it fast and easy to get job.

All students are advised to have financial sponsor and adequate financial support.

Prof Wip 7, please we need more programs at master level that engineering students can apply. Help us tell CSU management to work on that.

It’s a process, the university needs to get accreditation for any program before is opened. CSU has applied for 5 more master program including engineering.....but yet to get update from the accreditation board.

Each semester more courses are being added.

Have at least 2.8 cgpa at undergrad and master level. You will need master and undergrad transcript and certificates to apply for admission and your international passport. Phd courses are 7-8 plus research thesis and seminar will cost you around 4500-5000 euro to complete excluding accommodation and feeding.
