imaxo: I actually do not intend studying at METU North Cyprus due to its high tuition fee. What I plan doing is to transfer to METU in Ankara(not METU NCC) after my first year of undergraduate study. Can that be possible?Dont you think it will be easier to transfer to METU in Ankara from METU in TRNC? also METU fees is cheaper than EMU if you have good result although its minor difference. imaxo: Thanks for the direction on the IT duration. So just got your email from my spam box now. Since you have worked in construction company and have the strength and experience you may find such job in south Cyprus (SC). In most cases, these types of job pay ranges btwn 30-70euros per day. Also note, SC universities do report students to immigration if the students are not found in the schools they registered to and that might warrant you to taste the prison but if the employer or immigration issues you with work permit you can be fine. There is no oil and gas company in SC, the whole of Cyprus just discovered natural gas that is currently been drilled by Turkey for the zone that falls to North Cyprus, so getting oil and gas job in Cyprus has less than 8% chances. Also SC is in financial imbroglio so the available jobs are been grabbed by their own citizen fast before a foreigner is considered. My advise, kindly have standby financial sponsor for your entire duration cos SC spend Euro and the economy is not so good now. Wish you luck! 1 Like |

dahfweshdude69: Please on what basis can an individual be denied visa @ the embassy? worry 359: Do you have a reason for asking?Using TRNC/Turkey as reference, there are tangible reasons students are denied study visas and these reasons varies according to country of origin or where the applicants reside or have lived. 1. For instance in EMU, African applicants above 25yrs coming to study undergraduate are seen as people having ulterior motive which may/may not be true. Therefore the university reached agreement with the embassy and other policy makers to reject applications from such group. Some have scaled through by submitting Age declaration of less than 25yrs and were admitted by the University but then the embassy looks at their current age and minus from when they wrote their olevel exams (Waec or Neco) and if there is any kind of foul play such will be denied. Example; A lady submitted intl passport with DOB 1991 but she submitted WAEC she wrote in year 2000, which translate that she wrote the WAEC when she was 9yrs old but the picture on the WAEC certificate showed she was matured at the time she wrote it....Automatically such person will be denied or she was denied.......the embassy do communicate back to the university and decisions will be reached. This is one of many reasons...When i have free time i will say more based on my 14years of recruiting students and my carnal knowledge as insider with EMU. time for lunch now! |

EMU ADMITTED STUDENTS I will like to advise those students that have just been issued visa not to travel down here for now until towards end of January. Meaning students can travel from end of January till Feb end of Feb. Kindly note, classes commence in Feb 24, so why coming here early when you have secured your visa? Reason to come early: To secure accommodation but mind you old students can only leave dorms after exams are over and final exams will be 29 Jan. So is better to come few days to the final exams if possible than coming too early. Reasons not to rush down here; 1. There are no space to accommodate students that travel before these periods as current students will be occupying the rooms. 2. If the students finally found some room within university campus, the students might be charged for days they spend and utilities used 3. The students may not find space and will resort to hotel or hanging around spending their money and become tired before start of the academic year. NOTE: I am not in charge of accommodation, pls dont expect me to get room for you.... i can guide on choosing accommodation and if am available i can influence some decisions...After the exams i will be on tour out of Cyprus pls kindly let me know those that need dorm in Akdeniz now so i can speak with the manager.. the range is 1400-2400usd per semester here. Just an advise though! |

Please help, the university is in Lefkosia.Near East University is located not far from Cyprus intl university in Lefkosia, accommodation charges within the campus ranges 1000-7000euro per academic year and you can find this on the university website. For off-campus accommodation, you can still find in that range stated above and flats would be much cheaper as the financial will be shared among the occupant. Its hard to give exact charges for off-campus since the houses varies with varying facilities and locations but you can work with that range above. enyinnakeke: Please is a friend of my that introduce me to this Thread because i told him the gave admission to do masters in Cyprus, But since i have been reading this thread, i never read where someone mentioned or discussed about Near East University, dose it mean is not a good University? i am now worried. Gsluv: Ookay... But on their site Ercan is not part of d options, only port there is Istanbul. So ow do we make d booking or is it that we call their office for the booking.You dont need to call anybody as ERCAN is part of their options but they are not licensed to fly down into that zone so they connect with other airline.....you can book directly on their site...normally they connect with ATLAS JET to TRNC so calculating the fares seems difficult as ATLAS has lower fare for students compared to other passengers which emirate do not have such option...if you find it difficult to book via emirate direct, kindly book emirate separately and Atlas jet separately and this is applicable to Etihad airways, Ethiopian air as well.

I've a friend going there.Its actually the largest University with great infrastructure in all South Cyprus Universities although its private and quite expensive. I visited the University for the first time in 2009 in their Larnaca campus. Its ranked higher than all Nigerian Universities based on academic, infrastructure and scholarly publications in referred journals. They are also good at soft professional management programs. zeesmus1: oga wip and gs luv pls help, i sent an appointment request to the embassy since 31st of december 2013, and up till now, i havent been replied. pls help[ me what should i do as i am unhappy and confused.Relax...just 3 days you get panicked.....dont forget the embassy is not North Cyprus embassy but Turkish embassy and attends to applicants going to Turkish institutions, business ppple, tourist traveling to Turkey and then all Universities in TRNC etc .....let them have rest also...They will get to you soon! As most of them will return back from holiday or sort those already applied since last year November etc |

FOR OTHER APPLICANTS: I sent 45 acceptance letters just few minutes ago kindly check your email. After today's meeting, it has been concluded that the payment can still be receive till 17th of January for those yet to pay...Any update..i shall screen it out here. We have also partnered with Chinese universities for those that would like to spend some time in China during the summer as part of their education ...ONLY for registered EMU students and exemption will be given for courses taken at China......currently am the temporary coordinator. |

Confirmation List sent on 31st Dec 13-EMU EMU has sent another 250 names to embassy on last day of last year and should be at embassy around 6 of January, 14. I have sent 20 confirmation letters also today to applicants, kindly check your email, these new confirmation letters will be send to embassy next week. For those yet to get official acceptance letter from me, kindly relax i will be sending some today or next week. For those that have submitted their visa application to Turkish embassy..we just received info on your details from embassy and the embassy will be replied tmr with the requested info. conf ref: 10776 details received and should be at embassy on 6th and if possible may go with supporting documents to proof authenticity. |

I remember u mention multiple applications sometimes ago, he might have done a double application. Don't u hav any remedy in such case?No remedy for multiple applications as the system find it difficult to select which application number to insert on the Acceptance letter...if i may ask what is the name of ur cousin? |

GAME OVER FOR TRANSCRIPT AND RESULTS FAKERS AT EMU For 4years i was in charge of EMU scholarship evaluation, i have been bombarded by fake documents mostly from Africa ( high volume of Nigerian applicants to be exact). Some of these applicants were/are not aware, as their agents do use computer software's to manipulate the transcripts/results so as to enable high scholarship award and charged their applicants for the scholarship (which is naturally FREE) while some of the faked documents were/are orchestrated by the applicants themselves. I was able to turn down alot identified then. We made the scholarship flexible now to cut agents Fraud and lobbying but the Faked transcript/results kept coming. The students submit these faked documents mostly for exemption of courses so as to spend few/less years at the University. Fortunately, we have been able to design a pathway to detect these documents and establish mutual understanding with Nigerian, Cameroonian, Ghanaian embassies in Turkey and the concerned ministries of education in respective countries. In this semester alone, 135 faked documents identified and the students DISMISSED from the university, and another 25 faked documents identified just last week. This is a continue process to check all submitted documents from respective issuing authorities and all students caught will be dismiss and their names will be listed to the embassy and ministry of education of their country. NOTE: Pls kindly inform your agent not to manipulate your results, two out of the students dismissed last week were not aware their agents changed their D's to A's in their olevel result. EMU will only admit students with minimum of 5 credits including English, Maths and 3 other subjects related to your chosen field. EMU do take D for English as student will need to take English prep school to earn atleast C to continue his/her program. Dont indulge in Fake transcript/results cos the game is over....as more resources have been allocated for screening!!! Sons/daughters of honorable personnel's have been caught in this shameful acts. pls do not allow your past to hunt your future........... |

EMU confirmations letters and second batch of names For those that have paid and send us the payment slip, kindly wait for your confirmation letters, it will be send to you as soon as is prepared and i am working to ensure all names goes in 2nd batch. Second batch will be at embassy end of next week and from 10th January names should be at embassy. |

I had a meeting early today with the program coordinator and EMU Vice rector due to low patronage of the said program. The program offers double degree with combination of engineering and business. Career opportunities: Graduates of the Management Engineering Program are involved in the design, development and management of integrated and complex processes involving information, technology, humans, materials and capital. |

Is it because of the commission been given to you for each students you bring to the school , after u deceive them with the free laptop not knowing it's like less than one percent of the money you make in total from the commission been given to you to by emu,must you be so greedy ?hmm Son.......don't be discouraged you can still make it!! its all about dedicating your life to helping others, be straightforward, don't be fraudulent, be independent, be honest to yourself and to people around you.
