Going by the date of final approval (12-11-13), you supposed to have receive the official letter...if you have not received the official letter, kindly wait till end of coming week and email the registrar if you do apply yourself. After you receive your letter, you can go ahead and make the payment.

1. No emu official will call you with mobile number if is official announcement.... the number you sent to me is mobile number...we all have office numbers.

2. For past 4yrs i worked with international center of EMU, we have not called applicants on weekends before unless is not official announcement.

Kindly disregard such calls...i scanned tru all EMU staffs in charge of international students and compared with the mobile you sent, such number does not exist.


For others, i have received emails from potential applicants saying somebody asked them to pay into a particular GTB account for visa and confirmation letter....Kindly becareful @ all, most of the applicants are causing these problems for themselves by multiple applications and exposing all their credentials to fraudsters.

Send to my email the number that called you, i will confirm if is from EMU. Also kindly wait for your confirmation letter from the registrar office of EMU. I warn you do not call any local office that will demand money from you....

Thank you applicant, i have access to the portal....and some of your past posts here helped me out.... You have applied via multiple applications as i went tru the system carefully myself..some of your applications were done by agent..kindly contact them for your acceptance letter...to help you out your last semester admission carries agent name (Frankline), contact them as they re-applied 4u again. The same agent already replied for you again...

Do you know if a date of birth error on the original WAEC result could affect a candidate's admission/visa?
e.g 17th January, 2013 instead of 4th January, 2013.

The error is yet to be corrected but an affidavit on that regard is available.

what date do u have in ur International passport? If is day that has error is easy to overlook with proof but error in year may affect. The embassy consider date sent by the university and EMU consider date on Intl passport but during evaluation dates on olevel and intl passport will be checked. If you have legal paper to support then good. Remember age limit exit at EMU for undergrad applicants.

Princessmirex: please when am paying my fees must i open an account with the bank or i just get there mastercard? And plx who knows a good bank for that aside diamond bank? People that have paid should please tell us the bank they used and how they operate

You have to open account with a bank b4 u can use their services. All banks in Nigeria can carryout FT. Based on my experience and practical use (Diamond bank is the fastest with 24hrs FT to recipient and low transaction charges for high volume, GTB is like 48hrs and good also.).

Gsluv: Banks can be frustrating, now it turns out I can't pay d school fees without having a dorm account an banks have refused to do the foreign exchange, they insist I go and do it with the "mallams" and then bring the money to the bank. This is appalling and stupid! So I'm supposed to carry that huge amount of money to one mallam to change before coming to the bank.. I dnt blame ppl who wnt to leave dis country..

No is not late. opening accts and doing transactions abroad is hell easy but Nigeria is still learning...though they will get there soon. B4 u leave Nigeria i advise you open acct with diamond bank and obtain their new naira DC or any other bank with good tech.

University of Nicosia is located in South Cyprus (Another country different from North Cyprus), with different visa procedure. You will apply for the visa at Cyprus consulate in Lagos. You will have to send the university your health records and sponsor details. After then the university will submit to Cyprus migration board and if you are found eligible, your pre-visa will be approved and then you visit the consulate. The consulate may approve your visa if there is a logical reason why you are just starting undergraduate at that age and if you have good sponsor.

NOTE: south Cyprus is not particular about age but about money (if you are capable to pay), also if truly you are going to study.

Our application system shows you have applied before last semester via an Agent (Frankiline) and you have re-applied again this semester via such. Pls kindly contact your agent..they will send you the acceptance letter.

Kindly wait for the acceptance letter soon. Currently we are trying to indicate or sort out problems of those double applying cos the system is canceling the admission for any double applications.

From the system, it shows you have applied b4 directly or via agent and this is causing delay as double evaluations...the system cant prepare letters with both application number.

I have sent out all acceptance letters...those yet to get must have done double or multiple applications as the system find it difficult to execute.

Do you know if EMU accept direct entry candidates with a 1st degree?
e.g someone with a Bsc applying for another undergraduate degree.

If Yes, pls in what level (year) would such candidates be admitted?

EMU admit transfer applicants but levels cant be determined unless the department evaluate the applicant transcripts (check grades and how relevant the applicant courses are to courses taken at EMU). Student may be admitted into 2nd yr or 2.5 yrs or first yr depending on the transcript. BUT all transfer applicants irrespective of the grades must spend atleast 3 semesters at EMU (University policy).

Cookies232: I'm so sorry sir, it is "NTU" not (NUT). The grant their government approved of doesn't cover all the tuition fee and other expenses fully, will still have to spend money too. So in that case(money aside) what do you think? And they are going to resume towards the end of the year in 2014. Thanks so much for the previous one.

Its okay. Really if you secure NTU scholarship..i will advise you go for it. You may try Nayang under NTU also it covers alot including expenses and traveling allowances but if you dont have scholarship or grant....Singapore is small beautiful country and very clean but highly expensive (means you must have good sponsor). End of 2014 maybe too far for you....U may join EMU for Feb while you wait for the Govt grant at Singapore and if you are successful on that you can transfer credits earned from EMU to Singapore and continue...I think this is a reasonable path you can follow.

I applied to EMU TRCN (Radio, TV and Film studies) and NUT Singapore (Communication studies) for an undergraduate admission, EMU has given me admission(feb 2014) and NUT government has approved my government grant request, which I know that hopefully by March(2014) they too will give me admission. But now I'm so confused, I don't know which offer to go for, since I haven't been to any of the countries before and doesn't know which one is better. Though NUT admission is against August 2014 and EMU is Feb, but still confused. Please, mr Wip and others kindly advise me.

Since NUT is government grant that will cover tuition and expenses....kindly go for it...why paying for what will be free and conducive for you...Sorry NUT or NTU ( I know of NTU governmt scholarship in Singapore and is a great one for good student). If is what you are calling NUT then go for it. At EMU, you will have to pay your tuition and living expenses on your OWN.

If your result is ready on 20th Dec...u can still apply and pay as soon as ur acceptance letter issued b4 payment deadline.

Rhems01: @wip7 thank you again. I was born in 1989. My mother is my sponsor and will be handling all bills. I want to study International Relations. I've checked the website and seen the accommodation I'm interested in (I just hope it will be available by the time I get there). I will email you tomorrow. I'm guessing I'd send the filled application forms along with what you requested? by the way, when and how do I apply for accommodation and scholarship? And if I send the required documents, how long will the process take?

I only need the requested documents as stated earlier. Scholarship evaluation will be done alongside your application, so you dont need to apply separately. You may pay for your chosen accommodation alongside your tuition fees or you can pay on arrival. Spring semester starts officially In Feb, 2014...you can come much earlier than that! Application processing takes weeks (no specific days), as we do receive enough applications (more than 4000) per semester and the university have to evaluate...therefore no specific time range but within few days/weeks!

I just have a few questions: I am a 24 year old female and I'm interested in EMU, I would have applied since but an agent told me the age limit was 23 and then I saw 25 here. Is it too late to apply for Feb 2014(spring)? How do I go about the application, I'd like to apply on or before monday. Thank you so much for your anticipated response.

HI, welcome to the hood!! You should be born from 1989 to be admitted to EMU now. Admission is still ON....who is your sponsor and how do you expect to pay your fees? what program you want study? all these helps to guide you through the process. You can send me your application material (high school diploma, intl passport page and photograph passport. Kindly check my email within this thread and send the requested stuff. The embassy will determine the waiting time but as those affected previously is 6 months. If you apply with correct documents early enough you should not have a problem. Wish you luck!

Just Tuition fees as stated on your acceptance letter. We dont use handouts here and we have modern library for books. Incase you need textbooks and cant find in the Library, you may copy the textbook at copy center or buy. As intending pharmacy student, first year you may not need any textbook as i teach pharmacy students....you will take 6 courses and the textbook are optional (becos you wont or may not need it again) unless you want to buy them but as you progress you will surely need books for personal use which you can find at the university bookstore or copycenter..you will surely need less than 200usd after your 3rd semesters for books.

EMU SPRING (FEB) ADMISSION, 2014

For those that have received their admission status from me but not the official letter, Kindly be patient as we had loads of admissions issued last semester that could not meet up for registration due to late payment. The University is trying to clear these and also prepare list for the students that paid last semester but could not come.

As soon as the official acceptance letters are issued, i shall send to you guys. Also we shall start sending names of those that have paid starting from first week of November to the respective embassies, advise you pay as soon as you receive your latter so as to avoid late hours rush at the embassy.

Please be reminded, admission is free and do not pay money into agents bank account to pay for you. Also we do have criminals (irrespective of religion, gender, nationality and age) claiming to help students with accommodation pls be aware and be at alert.

If you do have any novel questions or queries regarding your admission, visa and payment you can email me or ask on this forum before middle of January as i will be on traveling tour to Asia and Aussie after that period and my replies might be slow.

Once more, all intending applicants must have stable or ready-made sponsor as jobs are scarce in Cyprus and abroad in general dont come with mind set to make millions here but be rest assure we have fantastic educational facilities for serious minded individuals.

Also for those cyber-criminals (yahoo yahoo), there is a new law on ground now and i am happy to be part of the meeting with University Chief security, state head police and Turkish embassy prosecutor. Dont come to Cyprus to spoil the image of your country further, the new law is Deadly and may deter your generation, for those already caught hmmmm you will soon blame yourself for such acts after the new laws start on you.

Hard work, creativity and innovative ideas in legal ways will surely lead you to a successful paths....pls do not shame the image of your country where ever you go or in whatever you do.

Pls if you send me email and within 3 days no reply means your email is off-points, am intellectual and academician and i expect prospective students to be active and reasonable, dont see it as pride or anything but i have principles and i don't like curly ways. I wont reply questions about how to get job, how to marry whity or how to transfer to Europe or asia cos i dont know the answer...google might be much better in that field...Any reasonable questions i will spend time to give brilliant answers.
