North cyprus residence permit allows you to apply for visas to country of your choice but does not translate to mean you can travel to Turkey or other countries without securing visas. Residence permit only indicates your status on the Island and does not mean you will be issued visa to Turkey or any other countries.....you have to meet your destination visas requirements and satisfy the Visa issuing officer.

Applications are being evaluated just this week and possibly from next week the Acceptance/Admission letters will be issued so kindly wait to receive it as soon as it is issued.

EMU started evaluating applicants just this Monday.... when your application is evaluated and your acceptance letter is ready, you will have it. have a great day!

onedebos: My status has changed to admitted on the application portal. But I was admitted into pharmacy rather than medicine which I applied for and pharmacy wasn't even a course at all. what can I do?

you cant do anything, your agent lied to you before that you were admitted into medicine and with scholarship....means if you have paid almost 200k demanded for you will not get medicine cos we dont issue medicine with scholarship and EMU requires very high grade to even be admitted into medicine.

NOTE: is also difficult to transfer to medicine at EMU. Only 3 students were transferred last semester due to the fact that they earned 3.9-4.0 GPA/CGPA and can afford the fees.

Either you stick to pharmacy and maybe you can be lucky when you perform well after first semester and be changed to medicine OR find another university..goodluck!

1. EMU does not offer scholarship for Medicine for now, so how come your agent secure admission and scholarship for medical program for you?

Its not possible for now....

2. Since you have engaged the service of an agent and agreed to the bizness terms, then dont breach contract

3. Note : you are advise to pay your fees directly into EMU account and not to agent.

4. You can reapply online again if you want to.

Your are welcome, it covers throughout and you may get more if you earn good grades above 3.7.

Kindly check the embassy website for required documents, you may also logon to EMU admission portal to check the status of your application, normally within weeks it should be approved or denied as the case maybe.

We had a little disagreement last time we conversed here. It was rightly settled by the moderator in addition to the info I requested.

Now, my cousin will be rounding up his masters degree by February and I need to be there for his graduation ceremony and a drink with you; Wip7. How do I apply for visa and when do I apply? What is the process? Cheers.

It will be good to have drinks during celebrations, i wish your cousin a blessed journey ahead! If you do bear same surname with your cousin, it is easy for us to send your details to the embassy of your location. You will need to ask your cousin to submit your intl passport biodata page (colored)and short letter on purpose of trip and accommodation to EMU registrar office. If both of you have common last name, the details will be prepared and send to the concerned embassy and you can go to embassy with some documents and get your visa. If name differs, your cousin will need to supply your work details and CV to support your standing!...EMU shall start sending names to embassy from December and you can apply from January as the case maybe. Advise go early! Gdluck!

btplotter101: wip7 thanks for the responds, i don't want to resume in this session again, what i want to ask you know is if the embassy can still give me a new visa to come to Cyprus, still in this fall semester just to arrive Cyprus so that when i get to Cyprus i can wave my school fees to spring semester and start with them in spring.

Economically is not advisable for you to come to Cyprus without doing anything. where will you stay? you have to rent apartment which may cost (300-500USD per month), you have to eat (100-200USD per month) and you will spend money.....but you wont be registered to take courses and you have wasted a lot of money and you become so weak to start the following semester. Stay at home in Nigeria, start reading some few books, you may get idea of your courses if you go online to the website of your department, eat well at home and help your parent....then resume next year. If you get a new admission and new confirmation letter for Feb 2014, your fees will be automatically transferred to SPRING but if you insist you want to come this year...go to the embassy with police report showing you reported the lost of your passport and you have secured new one and you maybe attended to but the consular is also aware of happenings in Cyprus so may advise you for next entry or you may be issued visa. Good luck in whatever path you choose!

You have to apply for admission at EMU, all applicants are evaluated for scholarship during the admission processing. The maximum scholarship you can be awarded is 50% and you will pay the balance 50% every semester. You must ensure you have stable finance or sponsor to support you throughout your studies. You may read more on our website www.emu.edu.tr and if you are ready for admission kindly email me your application documents. Be aware admission and scholarship processing is Totally FREE! You must be able to pay your fees and accommodation throughout your stay as jobs are scarce. For undergraduate you will need to send clear scan copies of your olevel result, international passport page and passport photograph.

Sorry, its not advisable for you to resume now as we shall start quiz(mini exam) for our students in few wks. Kindly email the registrar by November ending with your old admission letter and confirmation for renewal for Feb 2014 entry. Wish you luck!

You are applying to study undergraduate or graduate program? Undergraduate, you will need to be less than 25 to be admitted by EMU if you are from Africa, you will need your olevel result, international passport and photograph passport. There is no age limit for non-Africans. for master application, you will need your university transcript, bachelor diploma and international passport. When you are ready you can send scan copies to of the documents to me. All incoming students are evaluated for scholarship.

You dont need yellow fever vaccination card to book flight ticket although some countries like South Africa, Malaysia etc do request you to possess the original vaccination card prior to arrival in their country. North Cyprus nor Turkey dont request for that from passengers, since you will be medically examined to obtain residence permit in NC or Turkey.

Yes you can apply from any country you are legal resident of. You will notify us to send your details to the embassy of such country after we confirm you are legally residing in that country.

Yes Karpasia University do admit above 25yrs becos its a new University in NC and would need more students to fill its space but be aware is just a tiny University mostly 2 blocks so dont expect massive structural facilities and little can be said about its quality. Also kindly be aware that Jobs are scarce here and incoming students are all advised to be financially buoyant before attempting to study here. You wont be paid for studying any course but you may search for jobs and if you are opportune to find one, you may get paid by your employer. Good luck!

I will write based on the fact that i know Turkey quite well not by reading on internet but personal practical experience. Take note of the bolded part in your questions.

First, the E-Visa granted to you is based on the fact that you will either be a Tourist or Business person. So You wont be able to obtain LEGALLY, residence permit in Turkey with such visa. The residence permit procedure is easy but requires documentations and you have to fall in one of the following categories: workers (with work permit or visa), valid students, married to a Turkish, business owners, property purchase and some categories of tourists from selected countries. Each one of these requires you to proof that you can sustain yourself during your stay in Turkey (Around 300-500USD for tourists monthly) and proof of accommodation or paid hotel.

Tourists are not allow to work LEGALLY and some categories of work are not meant for foreigners unless no Turkish citizen that can take up such job. Due to Language barrier it may take longer time or difficult to actually secure jobs (casual or labour intensive). You will need a TAX number to benefit from banks or major facilities in Turkey and you can only obtain TAX NUMBER if you reside Legally in Turkey, example some embassy dont collect fee directly from you when you apply for visa in Turkey like Chinese embassy, you will need to pay the visa fees into Garanti bank and the bank will need your TAX NUMBER to pay into the bank....so its becomes unbearable life!

To be employed as English Tutor, you will need to have TESOL or TEFL certs and mostly teachers from country which English is their NATIVE will be far consider over Teachers from acquired or official Language countries.

Many more you have to consider before you make your move...

you can apply with your official transcripts yourself and you submit original during registration and verification will be done by the University after you register.

Gsluv: Hello Mr Wip, getting my docs together to send to you just my int'l passport remaining. however there's an issue with the transcript stuff, ASUU's presently on strike and the non-academic staff in my school too are on internal strike hence my transcript processing can't be done till the strike is called off. Wip pls will this affect my application to the school? Although I have a print out of my senate approved academic profile as at my final year which contains my cgpa and the grades I had in each course (courses only written in course codes) from 100l to 400l, will that suffice for the application pending the time the strike is called off then i get the original transcript?
