PoliticsRe: Tenants On One Prepaid Meter, How Do You Share Electrity Bills? by wirinet(m): 7:31am On Oct 03, 2024
Mynd44:
Why will you take it from the rent when you can buy your own meter, register it in your name and it becomes yours so that when you leave, you can take it with you?

@OP, there is no way to calculate how much you power you use at this point, your best bet is to go get your own meter and register it in your name. This becomes yours and you can replicate it if/when you move out. You don't even need the landlords permission for this
This is one issue that has been bothering my mind for a few months now. Who actually owns the meter - The distribution companies, the landlord or the tenant? This question can to my mind when the meter of one of my neighbour got burnt. Ikeja disco came and evacuated the meter and gave my neighbour two options - Buy a new meter at N150k or be put on estimated billing, which is about 80k a month. The landlord says he was not the one using the meter when it got burnt and so not responsible for replacing it. My neighbour asked that if he pays for the meter will he be allowed to take it if he moves to another location? Ikeja disco says no, that the meter is their property. If the meter is their property, when why collected money from customers?
NERC needs to clarify this meter issue.

It is obvious that the main reason that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was created is to arrest "yahoo boys" to please the United States government.
The way EFCC is going about it, you will think that it's only Nigerians that Participated in Internet scams. There are far more effective ways of detecting Internet scams that is if the Nigerian government and EFCC are actually interested in fighting Internet scams in this age of AI and machine learning. But the Nigerian government is only interested in doing eye service to the west and EFCC is only interested in sharing yahoo boys money asserts seized.

If these boys have dealt with u before, you won't have mercy on them. One of my friends will never forget their escapade as they cleared his 2.5 millions using sportybet pseudo. Omo the guy nearly committed suicide. The money he has been saved for almost 2 years.
Is it comparable to the ones the bigger boys aka politicians and their cronies have dealt with us all including you? The amount of money you pay for their own scams runs into millions for each one of us. That is not even putting into consideration the billions of dollars that have been borrowed to be stolen but to be repaid by your grand children.
EFCC should just be renamed Yahoo boys Crime commission.

You thinkn I said so because of race. I find blacks drop dead gorgeous but not Mitchell. I could drop some famous names we all know ... Halle Berry sits somewhere on top of my
You turned to race.
Media never featured Melania at all of which I'm sure you know why.
How many degrees Bill Gates got? Or Zuckerberg.
Harry Berry, a Mulatto with Caucasian features is your typical idea of a gorgeous black woman? Your problem is more serious than I thought.
I wonder why you did not name Kamala Harris or Magan Merkel also as your idea of gorgeous black women.

If Mitchell Obama was as good looking as her, there would be a shortage of glossy papers worldwide spurned by her coverage appearances on magazines such as Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan etc
So to you Mitchell Obama was not as good looking as Melania Trump? Why is that? What is your criteria for beauty? Let me guess - Skin colour and other racial features like hair colour, nose, lips, hips, etc.?

The fact that Michelle Obama was one of the most educated US first lady in US history and Melania was one of the least educated does not count, all that matters to magas is skin colour.

So in your eyes, a Married man that slept with a IndecentStar, who also claimed he was grabbing women by the pussy, a convicted felon and a confirmed fraudster is better or same with a woman who when single dated a man who was formally separated from his wife? Right?

You like packing them together, don't ya?

They asked a thief why did you steal your neighbor's goat, he said ennn I also caught the Prince stealing water from the river... All na stealing abi? cheesy
The extent to which Trump's Maga cultist members will twist whataboutism to ridiculous levels is legendary. Imagine comparing a person liable for rape, accuses by over 24 women of rape/sexual abuse, lied about sleeping raw with a porn star while his wife was pregnant, and actually admitted to grabbing women by their genitals (consent ot not), with a single woman who had a relationship a man that had been legally separated from his wife for over 10 years, had no other scandal in her political career.

Impressive. Next thing we need is a good charging network/infrastructure that can accommodate those that choose to do long road trips in their electric cars
Which power will support the charging network/infrastructure you are talking about? On top of the measly 5,000Mw of electricity NEPA is struggling to distribute?
Each electric vehicle would require at least 60Kwh to fully charge. Now imagine having just 100,000 electric cars requiring charging everyday.

That's why we are saying the 5 days is misleading. He should have simply stated the distance covered on a single charge.

5 days is nothing.

How many kilometers was covered should be the point.
5 days ko, 5 years ni. It is a matter of how many kilometers the car can run on a full charge before requiring recharge.

The man said that a full charge will carry him 350km to Lagos. From onitsha to Lagos is over 450km. Then to charge the vehicle from empty to full charge will take 6 hours. Who will wait 6 hours to fill your car with current?
Where are the charging stations in case you run out of charge away from home?
Before we can start using electric vehicles, charging stations needs to be built in strategic locations.

Yes, but still very, very active in manipulating the economy
How?
He had never received any contract from any government since he left office.

He was forced to take up defense minister portfolio under Obasanjo first term. He refused to up the appointment until he was forced to. Obasanjo insisted that he would not appoint anyone else for the post.

The only business he involved himself in since he left office was the oil business. He even has oil assets in 4 other African countries including Benin Republic.

Dangote to open gas stations?
Refineries in the world need about 3 Months down payment to have liquidity so they can do forward payment for crude.
Dangote will only open gas stations when all Nigerian vehicle users can pay their 3 months petrol demand to his station, how possible is that?
I don’t think if there is any marketer other than NNPCL capable of that. He needs NNPCL more than NNPCL needs him.
Refineries are globally a low margin business. I don’t know who corrupted our brains that it’s a highly profitable venture.
Lols, majority of Nigerians think downstream business is tomato business.
Flesh and blood did not reveal thus secret to you but the holy spirit. Refinery business around the world is not a profitable business, unless of course you secure a source of cheap crude, either by stealing or other underhand tactics.
Why dangote decided to pump in billion of dollars into the refinery business instead of other more profitable and less volatile business is a mystery to me.

Dangote that NNPC refused to sell crude to and had to resort to importing from Brazil at international price is the one you want to sell petrol to you at 50% landing cost?

QED

The real Indigenes just CONFIRMED that there is a DISTINCT DIFFERENCE between a Yoruba & a Lagosian!

Lagos Colony doesn't believe it should necessarily be under SouthWest.

One can then deduce that, Many, not all, Yorubas from Southwest hv really bitten more than they can ever chew in Lagos Colony
The irony is that if the country should revert back to the regions, the real lagosians would prefer to be an independent territory instead of being subsumed under the wider Yoruba tribe. It was Gowon that merged Lagos colony with the wider Lagos from the western region in 1967.

You talk as if Lagos belongs to you, Lagos is NO MAN'S LAND, and that's why every Nigerian should lay claim on it.

The Yorubas may be controlling the political power in LAGOS and Igbos the economic power, then the north the security, it doesn't make anyone the owner of LAGOS.

Where was all those idiots claiming Lagos when Lagos was being built with our oil money?

Nonsense.
You people are the ones causing all the problems in Lagos with your outlandish and stupid egocentric claims. Igbos do not control the economic power of lagos. With his refinery in lagos Dangote alone controls more economic power in lagos than all igbos. Lagos was already an economic powerhouse before igbos started migrating to lagos enmass after the end of the civil war.
How are the north controlling security in Lagos? Except you mean it's maiguards that are controlling the security of Lagos.

Just a heads up for those who haven't been following, this is all happening after the US said Iran is supplying Russia with ballistic missiles.

And, by the way, the US(plus those who have been supporting Ukraine with weapons) has been a bit restrictive on how Ukraine can use their weapons to strike deep into Russia. But now that Iran and Russia have made their move, there's chat about removing those restrictions and letting Ukraine use those weapons however they like. So, watch this space, things might get interesting!

Cry all you want, iyalojas have been collecting levies for centuries before the formation of Nigeria. It's part of the culture. Same you are supporting IPOB/ESN sit at home in your region.

The Iyaoloja would collect the levy and nothing you IPOB can do about it. Worse case scenario, you will shout and call your IPOB and you would land in jail like the clown below.
What separates the Iyaoloja forceful extortion of traders from Bandit/Boko Haram extortion of villages and to towns in the north? What law empowers a single iyaoloja from collecting levy in the whole of Lagos State or even south west?
If it was Oba Akinolu thar nominated Folashade Tinubu as the Iyaoloja if Lagos, her jurisdiction should not extend beyond Lagos Island. Oba Akinolu's jurisdiction is Eko/Lagos, it dies not extend to Ikeja, much less Ikorodu or Badagry.

This is simply Banditry in another form.
