Henryfocoyo:The attached screenshots below should answer some of your questions.
|
smasher1:This is not practicable in an economy with inflation rate of over 30% per year. In less than three years the value of your savings will reduced by more than half. Saving in Naira would actually lose you money in value terms. The best thing to do in such an economy is to invest or store your assets other instruments , ie foreign currency, commodities, real estate or gold. Avoid stocks, particularly Nigerian stocks, they suffered the same fate of the naira because they are tied to the naira. |
Henryfocoyo:E be like say APC don't inflict poverty mentality on Nigerians, so much so most people don't even understand what standard living means anymore. A family of 4 adults living on N500k for 2 months cannot live comfortably and eat anything they like. With that family income you would probably be living in a room and parlour in poor suburban neighbourhood, eating poor quality food that lacks protein on a diet of 101, flying danfo for transportation to work or business (that's assuming no school fees is involved). A single egg is now now 300, a loaf of sliced bread is N1500. So how much will breakfast of eggs and bread with tea cost for a family of 4 adults? What's about a meal of beans and dodo, mind you derica of beans is N2500. A small bunch of plantain is N1500. We have not even considered cost of other ingredients like oil, pepper, etc., and gas to cook the beans. Rice and meat/chicken nko? The cost is the same. The N250,000 per month would barely be enough to feed well alone, not to talk of other expenses. I am sure if you guys should contact malaria or typhoid, na agbo or prayers you go use take cure am, because hospital bill for ordinary malaria and typhoid pass N10k per person. Original augmentine capsules now don reach N15k. If dem admit any of una for hospital for one night, just hold 50k. Live a comfortable life and eat whatever you like indeed. |
Sharpsharp00123:That's why I asked you to look at the title of the thread before commenting. No one is saying many Nigerians are not living on minimum wage. The issue is at which income level one can be considered rich. |
Sharpsharp00123:Check the title of this thread to get an understanding of the subject matter. You are not considered a rich person or middle class by international classification of those terms if you are earning less than 500k in Naira. When we consider you rich you are assumed to own and drive a car at least, live in low or medium density neighbourhood like Ajah, lekki, surulere, Ikeja or at least Festac. Now how much do you think a decent 3 bedroom apartment with running water, good roads and electricity in Lekki, Ajah or Ikeja cost? Your 500k would barely pay for 1month. How much will you use to fill your tank? How much do you think a decent school in those areas cost? |
SoftSport:It's not misleading. That's the reality of the Nigerian economy today. A family earning less than N500k (which is less than $300) per month is considered poor by today's economic matrix. Except you have no children or other defendants, live in a single bedroom apartment in a poor neighbourhood, eat very poor quality food, no vehicle or generator, etc., you quality of life would be quite low. When you consider the average cost of feeding an average family of 5, paying house rent for 2 bedroom flat in a fairly good neighbourhood, paying school fees for 2 or 3 children quarterly, paying for band A electricity or running a generator a few hours a day, maintaining just one vehicle, transporting to and fro from work or business, you will realise that 500k per month would not just be ebough. |
flyinnizam:Have you never heard of pulling down the ladder you used in climbing to the top in order to prevent others from using the same ladder? |
Afrowits:Monopolise a product no one else is producing? Shebi the government say Port Harcourt refinery go begin operating this year, abi the billions spent on rehabilitation don waste? So it is good for Nigeria to continue to spend billions of dollars importing refined petroleum products? Shebi una talk say dollar go come down after we start producing them locally? E be like say una dey enjoy am as dollar done pass N1700. |
Ten06:Read the book below to understand the goal of US and its financial institutions.
|
trutharena:Is there still a middle class in Nigeria? What will you estimate the average income of what can be universally termed middle class family in Nigeria would be today? |
ivolt:Another schematics to avoid paying taxes and submitting audited accounts. What do you call the millions of schools fees and other expenses being paid by each student? Donations, offerings or grants? |
Namaster:It's not just schematics, it's deceit to deceive the gullible and ignorant. Why should he earn wages from the university? Is he a staff or lecturer in the university. A Councillor is not a staff of a university. He is the major shareholder (if not the only shareholder) of the university, so what he shares is profit or dividend. |
AmazonTopaz:It was not Hamas that made the two state solution difficult, it was hardliners on both sides. In fact Hamas took advantage of the hardliners to get power from more moderate PLO, just like Benjamin Nathanyahu (a hardliners on the Israeli side) took advantage of the hardliners to gain power. Hamas and Likud Party are two sides of the same coin - hardliners not ready to concede any concession to the other. Yitzhak Rabin and Yassar Afafat were more moderate and were negotiating a permanent peaceful solution to the conflict under Bill Clinton's administration. They signed the Oslo 1 and 2 accords,(for which both were awarded the Nobel Peace Price). But hardliners in both countries rejected the Oslo accords. Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated and Yassar Afafat died (suspected assassination), since then the chance of any peaceful solution died. |
bemeruca:Numbers 31:17-18 can never make sense to me. “17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.” “18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.” So also Hosea 13:16 16 The people of Samaria are guilty as charged because they rebelled against their God. They will be killed in war, their children will be smashed to death, and their pregnant women will be ripped open. How many percent of Saudis are Christians? What are you even arguing? Christianity is growing in Israel as well as Islam. Christianity in every Arab country is shrinking. Aside from arabia, every other country that is Islam was conquered by the squadChristianity is growing at 2% in Israel the land of Christ? Is that not a paradox? Arabia the land of Mohammed is 98% Muslim as it should be. |
bemeruca:Understatement of the millennium. The old testament is replete with violence. From Genesis to Malachi, it one violence to another including God ordained genocide. Only 2% of Israelis are Christians and there is an uneasy relationship between Christians and Jews. A lawmaker even proposed a bill banning Christians https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.timesofisrael.com/with-tensions-high-anti-christian-protesters-rally-outside-jerusalem-event/amp/ https://m.jpost.com/christianworld/article-761906 |
raumdeuter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WChPpImsBx0?si=W4gImo0fxNxTbST- This is from BBC |
raumdeuter:Israel does not recognize Palestinians right to live in their homeland and you support them |
bemeruca:You always jump to hit quote without bothering to read and comprehend what was written. Where did you see the attack on Christianity or Boko Haram? Where should I post from? CNN, BBC, Foxnews? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh83jIwZjyY?si=6iqwSEtEOF9zSEit |
raumdeuter:It seems you have no idea on the genesis of the conflict and just jump into Israel defence blindly, either due to religious reasons (which I don't really understand as the Israelis hate Christians and blacks as much as the Arabs), or due to listening to too much Jewish controlled media. I am first a humanist, I hate to see sufferings in this world. I can never support killings, murder and exploitation under whatever guise. Secondly I am an atheist, I find the Abrahamaic religions to violent and exploitative, it is skewed again the week and powerless of the society - the poor, women and children. And lastly I am a liberal, I believe in the principle of live and let live. Watch this video to learn about the situation in Gaza before this current round of conflict. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNV2oArb7K8?si=yUY8yFplvT6jUTII |
raumdeuter:I hope you are not tone deaf, as the post above summarise the whole thing. Isreal and Palestinians have been in a state of war for decades. Conflicts had broken out on a regular bases almost on a yearly basis since the occupation of large swaths of West Bank and Gaza. The Palestinians have been under occupation by isreal who give then no rights whatsoever. They cannot vote, they cannot hold passports, they cannot leave the enclaves provided for them by Israel, nothing can come in and out of West Bank and Gaza without the permission of the Israelis. In fact these places are regarded as the largest open air prisons in the world. Obviously, you would expect violent reaction from the Palestinians. One of the paradoxes in the world is that the same people supporting Israel indiscriminately bombing Palestinians homes, hospitals and schools will be the same people that would criticise the Nigerian government if they carry out the same policy in Aba, Umuahia or Enugu, should the government start going after IPOB or Unknown gun men for killing Nigerian soldiers and policemen by bombing homes and hospitals. |
raumdeuter:October 7 was not an isolated incident. Isreal and Palestinians have been kidnapping each other for decades. It has always been tit for tat. It was just that hamas took up up a notch by kidnapping hundreds of Israelis instead of the usual 1 or 2. There are thousands of Palestinians in Israeli jails, the Palestinians usually use the captured Israelis as bargaining chips in exchange for their own prisoners. What do you think was the aim of Hamas for invading isreal and holding hundreds of hostages? I hope you don't think their aim was to capture Israeli lands. As I said I am sure MOSSAD allowed the invasion take place. The invasion involved over a year of planning, it was not spontaneous. |
IMAliyu2:Exactly. I believe what Israel is doing in Gaza and the West Bank can be regarded as low grade or covert genocide. Of course you don't expect them to indiscriminately start bombing the Palestinians without any excuse or just ship them to gas chambers like the Nazis did in WW2. They need to start a war in order to have justification for bombing Gaza and West Bank, thereby driving the Palestinians away from the land. Israel often look for triggers to prod the Palestinians into violent reactions in order to look for excuses to start bombing apartment buildings, schools and hospitals. This Israel does by expanding settlements into occupied territories or arresting Palestinians and locking them in Israeli jails. There is no way Benjamin Nathanyahu will tell the world that he was not aware of the October 7 invasion of Israel by Hamas commandos. MOSSAD that had infiltrated the Iranian security agencies and Hezbollah could not infiltrate the less òrganised Hamas? Tell thar to the marines. Isreal just needed a justification to once and for all drive the Palestinians out of West Bank and Gaza. |
Trippledots:Yes it's still serving me well. I actually use it to run 4 shops attached together. Two shops house a betting shop with 6 computers, 12 monitors, 2 TVs and 2 ceiling fans. My office with I standing fan and a mini desktop computer and monitor. The whole adugbo (area) also charge their phones, powerbanks, etc in the shops in times of prolong black outs. I hardly use my generator except if nepa takes light for 2 days straight and the sun refuses to come out. |
Yungmil:N2 million then (that was October last year). Now you will require between N3 - N3.5 million to install the same configuration - 4kva and 12 nos. 15kw panels . |
basilico:Secure Hash Algorithm kwa? You guys just throw around terms you have no clue about. Secure Hash Algorithm is the cryptographic function used in blockchain technology to secure the integrity of the blockchain. Bitcoin uses SHA-256 as its cryptographic function. Using blockchain technology for recording votes will be a very cumbersome affair. |
bemeruca:A fetus is not regarded as a person A baby needs to be born to qualify as a baby. I don't still understand what you are arguing about. |
bemeruca: On Friday, the Broward Sheriff's Office stated that homicide detectives had arrested 34-year-old Emmanuel Prevaly on the charge of killing an unborn child by injury to the mother.I honestly don't understand what you guys are still arguing about. This is first and foremost a report by a reporter on the case. It is not a charge sheet detailing the crimes the criminal is being charged with. Then secondly, the report emphasised Killing of an unborn child . It never used the word murder or homicide. It never used the word baby. An unborn child was killed. |
raumdeuter:You are using the correct term now, murder of a fetus and not murder of a baby. |
bemeruca:It's the mother that gives it the Homicide status, without the mother it is simply termed abortion. If a person kills a baby without killing the mother it could never be termed single Homicide or murder. |
bemeruca:It is not a baby until it is born. That's why we start counting its existence on this earth aka its birthday on the day it left its mother's womb, where prematurely or on full term or even extra term. That's why a pregnant woman says I am expecting a baby or I am going to have a baby. No way a fetus can be termed a baby. |
IjeBos:Exactly. Their argument against abortions is purely religious, but the cloaked it in "philosophical" arguments. This nebulous human intrinsic value is one of such arguments. For example, when chairman Mao Zedong came to power in 1949, he encouraged large families and outlawed abortion and the use of contraception, urging women to produce offspring who would boost the workforce and the ranks of the People's Liberation Army. This policy caused the Chinese population to double from 500million to 1 billion in 30 years. When Deng Xiaoping took over the reins in 1978, he realises that to achieve economic growth, he had to control the population, and therefore restrict the population to 1.2 billion within the next 20 years. He hereby instituted the 1 child policy. This resulted hundreds of millions of abortions and forced sterilisation of both men and women. China achieved all its goals but has now created a new problem - aging population with no young ones to take over. They have reversed the one child policy once more. Without the one child policy, China's population would be closer to 2 billion by now. Intrinsic Human Values indeed.

bemeruca:MOSSAD knows everything and entrenched in Hezbollah and other terrorist organisations, October 7 happened with MOSSAD not having a clue. Can you explain the irony? |
