Racoon, Abacha looting the country is a difficult narrative to change, no matter how they try, the truth though glaring is extremely difficult to change!
Reasons: If you say Abacha never stole, then which money have you been collecting
If you claimed that advisers advised him to stash the money in other countries then why was the monies not properly documented
How many of those so called foreign leaders stashed money in Nigeria
Saying that Abacha's loot is an asset is like saying that Deziani's loot is also an asset, Evans loot should also be called an asset e.t.c
It will take a hardened criminal worse than Abacha to say that he didn't steal!!! |

Omooba77: “They have constituted themselves as judges. They have sacked the traditional and political institutions there, so there are no judges at all.
“The bandits now settle disputes between people. They resolve quarrels between husband and wife and so on.”
He said the situation in his area was quite lamentable because they had been talking to the Federal Government and sending the resolutions of their meetings but the government had not come to their aid.
He added, “If you look at the situation in that area, there is no farming because if the bandits find you on the farm, they will shoot you.
“If you sell a cow, the following day or at night, someone will come and collect the money.
“The Nigerian Army is not helping us. We are really having challenges in that area. If we call the Nigerian Army to come to our aid, they will come but they will not go after the bandits.
“They will complain that the weapons being used by the bandits are more sophisticated than theirs.
He said, “We are not sure that the Senate resolution would make much impact because this is just one of the resolutions we have been passing and nothing has come out.
“As a citizen of this country, a situation where my people will be sleeping and someone will just knock on their door and command them to surrender whatever they have is a problem.
“They would seize their wives or children and then kill the breadwinner. It is really pathetic.” It's in the South that the Nigerian Army have enough weapon!!!
The North is upside down yet the Federal Government is not saying or doing anything about it
To think that the Federal Government wanted to declare state of emergency in Rivers State
The rubber stamped senate resolution couldn't even help so what exactly are they paid for
Abacha made sense once in his life: he said and I quote " if a crime continues, it's because the government have a hand in it" and I can't help but agree more!!!

chipower: You should stop narrating falsehood.
For the purpose of keeping the records straight, the issues for determination at the Supreme Court was not ownership of the disputed land. It was the inability of the Plaintiff to appeal. The Plaintiff could not appeal the judgement of the High Court, Awka delivered by late Justice Obiora Nwazota because the records of proceedings were certified to be missing. In delivering its judgement, the Supreme Court though it ruled in favour of the respondents on the four grounds of appeal formulated, it, however, noted, more importantly (per Galumje JSC), that ''The loss of the record of the appeal is a factor that has vitiated and rendered the judgement INVALID.'' He went further to ask, ''Is there a way of enforcing the judgement in the absence of the record of the case?'' And the clincher, ''... it is in the best interest of the parties to go back to the trial court and sort out this mess.'' Experienced legal minds both in the Bar and Bench have interpreted the judgement of the Supreme Court as not granting any ownership to neither of the parties. If the Supreme Court had referred the parties to the High Court ''to sort out the mess'' what was the authority relied upon in holding the view that ukpo people won.
The Supreme Court judgement was clear. It rendered the judgement of the high court INVALID because of THE MISSING RECORDS. Consequently, SC directed both parties to go back to high court to argue if there is a way to enforce the judgment or not. ie TO SORT THIS MESS OUT. ie Mess brought about by the missing records.
On what grounds should any party claim victory in this matter? If you think that Ukpo won at SC, why would the Supreme Court order both parties to go back to the high court. To go there and do what? Play ludo or what? I don't understand. Maybe you can explain better. I still insist that the matter is not a community clash Let the court sought out their irregularities The demolition took place based on the order of the court Go to the court and argue it out!!! |

A letter from the Nigeria High Commission in Nigeria, dated May 20, 2020 with the reference number: NHC/OTT/ADM.56/I with the head: Update on the Flight Postponement,’ and made available to our correspondent, said that the government opted out of the Air Peace arrangement because the Canadian Government expressed reservations concerning the granting of the necessary clearance/landing permit for Air Peace to fly into Canada, due to safety concerns. Took my time to read the inconsistencies, gibberish oozing from the mouth of our president and you will want to gift Trump a trophy or calling him lifeless!
The write-up lacks substance, the type of jist that cannot even emanate from the beer parlor
What's Air Peace fault You admitted that they were the cheapest, They charged $1, 134 while Ethiopian Airlines charged $2, 500 for the same exercise.
What right have the Canadian to dictate to the Nigerian Government the airline to use to evacuate her citizens
If the Federal Government is taking over, with what With the varnished Nigerian Air
So many inconsistencies with lack of solid plans, believe me that this might mark the end of this project!!!
I spit on this government!!!
Can they consistently ever get anything right

Besides, the properties of the two Nweke brothers are not part of the land in dispute. The land in dispute is called Agu Abba, a very large sparse of farmland.
Why demolishing your fellow man's property? There's no smoke without fire. Is their property the only one in the village If it was forcefully taken the the owners have the right to get it back!!! It's called justice |

When contacted, the Anambra State Police Commissioner, John Abang, said what he knew was that Ukpo people had a Court judgement against Abba, adding ” perhaps, it was what they wanted to enforce today.
OP, why make it sound like a community clash
The matter was before the court and the ukpo won! The Nigerian police was with the bulldozer. So, what's the problem
Besides was the man (Nweke) not the same man mentioned not too long ago the one forcefully collecting people's land in Chimamanda's home town
I might be wrong but if I am right, congratulations to the people for getting justice in the law court!
I hope this serves as a deterrent to those forcefully taking people's land
