Everyday it seems, we are harassed by images of beauty queens, billboard models and Video vixens who mostly share one thing in common - their light Skin tone ! The belief that lighter skinned ladies are given preferential treatment because they are considered more attractive than the darker skinned is definitely enough to drive one to the edge, More so, it seems the guys are more attracted to light skinned ladies leaving the others no choice but to resort to bleaching or skin whitening treatments as the case maybe, What's your take on bleaching? Why do you think some people bleach? Do you prefer the lighter or darker skinned? |
"The best Love is the kind that Awakens our Soul and makes us reach for more, the best love is the kind that plants fire in our Hearts and brings peace to our minds" That's a piece from the film "the NoteBook" *A sweeping love story told by a man (Garner) reading from his faded notebook to a woman in a nursing home (Rowlands), The Notebook follows the lives of two North Carolina teens from very different worlds who spend one indelible summer together before they are separated, first by her parents and then by WWII. "Its a film Ripe with feeling and lush with physical beauty, it's a love story that swings confidently between age and youth for all those Nairalanders craving big, gooey over-the- top romance this is a must-see Now back to why we are here. .. After watching seeing this film it got me thinking about how people Fall in Love and then something happens that they get to separated' I know It's normal not to forget your first love But I've got to ask this question Is a person's first Love the deepest/Greatest, or can one still find a Greater Love out there . ..

Nigerians are just too religious. You ask someone in an elevator, "Are you going down?" And they'll be like, "God Forbid! I am going up in Jesus name, Amen!" ![]()

Truckpusher:There's nothing like a simple life oo o, But sadly most peeps want to fit in some how in d society, Even if it means displeasing themselves" That reminds me of one dude that always comes around one cafe, with just shorts a palm and a plane white polo, With his small stature you'd think he's one errand boy like dt, not until he sent one of the boys there to go get him something in his car, well you know d rest, the guy came back with solid gist about the man's car been the latest in town, that was when we payed attention to the man's phone and watch . .. quite expensive and his palm pure leather ![]() My point tho is that some people will rather opt for comfort and a simple lifestyle rather than try to fit in with social standards* |
The cinematographer for the upcoming Jackie Chan movie Skiptrace drowned on Wednesday after a vessel carrying the crew capsized off Lantau Island, Hong Kong reports the South China Morning Post. Film industry sources named the drowned man as 51 year-old Chan Kwok-hung. Hong Kong police said the vessel capsized 100 feet from the shore, with seven crew members able to swim back to the shore after the accident. Tragically, Chan Kwok-hung did not make it, and was found unconscious and later declared dead at North Lantau Hospital. According to the SCMP report, Jackie Chan was not believed to be on board the vessel. Police are said to be investigating and interviewing the seven survivors. Read more Jackie Chan's Action Title 'Skiptrace' to be Co-Financed By Shanghai New Culture Media Chan Kwok-hung was a 20-year industry veteran and had previously worked with Hong Kong directors Stephen Chow, Jingle Ma and Chan Chi-ying. Tenky Tin Kai-man, chairman of the Movie Production Executives Association, told the SCMP that Chan Kwok-hung was well-loved by colleagues, adding that the accident was a tragic lesson on safety for those working in the industry: “We had a discussion of whether we should revamp our safety guidelines earlier this year, but this accident happened before our revamp." Tin also said his association was working on raising money for Chan Kwok-hung’s family. A U.S.-China co-production directed by Renny Harlin, Skiptrace stars Jackie Chan, Fan Bingbing and Johnny Knoxville, who replaced Seann William Scott. The story, based on an idea by Chan, centers on a good Hong Kong detective (Chan) whose niece (Bingbing) gets into trouble with a crime syndicate run by a man the detective has been chasing for a decade. The cop is forced to track down the one person who can help save the niece — a fast-talking American gambler (Knoxville) — and bring him to Hong Kong after a trek across China. Actually it's not like I've been robbed but got these two experiences of which I was present" The first Was when I went to spend the night in one of ma guyz house, somewhat a kinda "face me - I - face you setting" it was late so basically after the jive we to sleep only to wake up early the next day to hear that some Robbers have been sneaking into houses to steal food whether cooked or uncooked . .. The story was kinda funny sha The second Was the day I was returning from church, it was dark and late in the night, had to take a shortcut, a lonely path, which I've heard so much about, how pple get their stuff snatched on nights like this, there was this guy walking in front in a rather slow pace, so that got me suspicious, the path was quite lonely, but I was ready for anything tho, The path led to an express way where one could actually board a bus or bike, so I was anxious to get to the end, this guy in front got to a point and brought out his phone and faked a call (I guess)as he walked, I slowed down and watched him closely, He continued till he got the end of the path, and acted like he was waiting for a bike or something, I got to the spot where he was and passed him, it was like coming out a T junction, so I just moved further away from the guy as I waited for a bike too while I watched him from the corner of my eyes, NB: he was still making the call, Suddenly a bike came out of no where. .. it was like a flash tho* cause all I saw was a bike carrying two guys ride past me at high speed almost loosing balance, and the guy who was making the call screaming, Theif Theif !! Inquiring further I got to understand that the guys phone was snatched right from his ear as he was making the call, Well I couldn't do anything cos I too was petrified at the scene, well I thought may b I could have kicked the guys down on the bike if I saw them early enough well I didn't, told the guy sorry from a distant and walked away from d scene to get a bike somewhere else" |
