Shame, man's inhumanity to his fellow man.... Eccl 4:2~3 "Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive. Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun" |
thelastPope: I didnt insult you! I only questioned your intellect because of your reply. If you feel insulted, I am sorry.Question my intellect? "Oooo Serious" Funny you...For your information i'm quite intelligent (I think? lol) But seriously, they have been doing these kind of things since..... and its obviously not new, i don't know why this is different? I guess its because its Lagos State sha...there are parts of Imo that i dear not kill a snake (even if it crawls under my bedsheet) and parts of Oyo i dear not walk after 7pm for most part of the month... Let Lagos enjoy its culture too....lol |
thelastPope: Stop spewing this backwardness my friend! Is weekend a tradition? So our observance of saturday and sunday as work free days is tradition? Your free education is questionable honestly!I really wonder why u would insult me? Nonetheless i would advice you to petition the Oba of Lagos or other Obas in Yoruba land to have such customs removed from our culture as it is backward, the same way an european feels prostrating for ones parent is backward.. |
thelastPope: What nonsense 11th century history or tradition is that? I thought you all want to modernise the SW? I thought you are building a mega city? So when you finish eko atlantic city and it becomes the new Dubai and people from all over the world move there, you will ask them to close their shops because someone died? Why cant you make up your mind if you want to move into the future or return to the prehistoric flintstones?Tradition is tradition, if all shops in eko atlantic must be closed in that case, it should. Do u know weekend in UAE is friday and saturday...and in saudi its thursday and friday. Thats their tradition, we Africans should learn to respect ours. If an Iyalode dies in a Yoruba land (like Lagos) all markets under her is shut in memoriam |
I benefited from the free waec tinubu stated above was inspired by his late mother....i remember my teachers back then chasing us around my school, infact begging just to snap pictures as the state had already paid our waec and neco fees...flash forward few years to my kid brothers in private school....i never knew those exams cost that much! Thanks for that at least... RIP Ma |
Alcheringa: whc engring discipline did u study? & did u do any rlatd professnal courses?Mech Engrn, and No...... |

Its very funny, we need not insult ourselves..are we being paid to post 'winning' comments. well as a Lagosian, and a graduate of the public school system up to tertiary, d system has really improved. U would hv to go deep inside d state to see few schools still as bad as that. |

Whether its "rolling codes" or "quasi-static equilibrium code" lol...It can be intercepted and manipulated. We have very smart young folks in the world with work stations in their basement and nothing to do but hack with it. Someone once noted that hacking an iphone is as easy as finding a continuously moving pin in a dark room...but its been done regardless Also a famous scientist is credited to have said "Harnessing nuclear energy can be compared to targeting a bird in a country with very very few birds"...nonetheless its been done So guard ur cars in whatever way you can, 100s of the finest engineered 2012 bmw's were stolen last year using very easy tricks... |

dozzybaba: During an argument, someone once proclaimed no Easterners is richer than the Adenugas and Dangotes. We now know why, their friends in government virtually handed over Nigeria's commonwealth and economy to them. It is even more annoying that most of them got the oil blocs for FREE. If the oil had been in north we all know the southerners won't get a single drop. Northerners with all their oil blocs can not take away their almajiri's off their street and educate them leaving innocent Southerners and Xtians to suffer deaths, they are only good at fighting GEJ and allocation of Oil derivations to the Niger-Delta. Asari Dokubo, Ateke tom, Ankio Briggs and co wake up from your slumber, ginger our boys, we'll fight this injustice to an irreversible conclusion. This time we'll take everything including our sovereignty. It is all or nothing.Sorry to rain on your parade my dear, but all those dudes u mentioned: Asari, Briggs, et al...are all part of the people with the stolen oil wealth, so they will pay little attention to you...(I guess you haven't head of Moni-polo oil coy)... My dear don't be tribalistic or allow yourself to be fooled... Buhari is the only person amongst d lot that can tame these monsters... Fyi: I'm a southerner |
Calm down youngies...GEJ can't do nothing to stop these people, in my few years only one person is just enough 'among' the contenders...although there are many others in Nigeria who aren't contenders... This one person is no doubt "Buhari"... You guys keep clamoring GEJ, and I just keep laughing...I was at a restaurant in a very high-brow area of Abj last week and I over head a meeting between "Oil traders" (I'm not talking palm oil)...there's a way oil oil is traded that doesn't favor anybody here lol...except of course you are a powerful Nigerian (esp: northerner) ...no doubt the SS big boys are having bigger pies now with gej's support...but how does this boil down to you. Ps: vote someone that would favor the common wealth and not just few people close to him or her. *sorry about any typo resulting from my keypad* |
PDP is a party with "least" values in comparison to APC, ACN, APGA,etc...Only in Africa would a people support such a party. I am not saying the other "guyz" are angels per say. But we need a party that has intellectuals like Fashola, Corrupt free individuals like Buhari, Politians like Tinubu, Shekarau, Fighters like Oshiomole, etc in Aso rock for a change. Believe me this is better than Gbenga Daniel, OBJ, GEJ, Atiku, Anineh, Tukur, Odili, Ibori, etc that the PDP has produced. Please do this (support change) for the future we share as a nation, and not for immediate gains. Its a well known fact that PDP shares money to attract people. This is the case in Ogbomosho where Akala (PDP) hails from, they all love Akala for his money sharing....and despise, the current governor Ajimobi (ACN) for not "sharing money". Unknown to them the money Akala shares will eventually finish, but a government that builds institutions and facilities like BRT/LAMATA in Lagos, OYES in Osun, bridges in Ogun and Modernisation in Edo would be better of in the long run. This is not to take anything away from former PDP leaders that did try, like Donald Duke...but these are rear cases that find it difficult to rear their head in a party like PDP. ...Thoughts of an Old Man... |

U'r a smart one Mr Redson... Whether Igbo, Hausa, Delta, Yoruba, Nupe, Tiv, Irobo, Itsekiri...they're the same. Just strive personally to be better persons... Ask not what your country would do for you, but what you would do for your country-JFK Anybody that has seen war won't pray for it for anybody...pls ask these UK returnees to leave our enterprising Igbo brothers alone (Not the lazy keyboard one's here on Niaraland) redsun: It is the evil tricks the corrupt leaders are using in nigeria, divide and conquer. They brainwashed them into hating their fellow country men and women that are in the same precarious situations like them,so that they can distract them from coming to terms with reality and focus their attentions on the irrelevants. |
I was there when IBB told u that...lol Funny boy... Rayhut: Yorubas and hausas, fulanis hate the Igbos, they will we say that igbo are the one pushing drugs, doing robbery, rituals, atrocities of all kind but when Igbos want to leave Nigeria for them, they will start to catch cold, some are trying to recruit thier self into army to fight igbo succesion bid even IBB said publicly this year in the media that at the age of 70 that he is ready to fight the igbos and make sure they did not breakaway. The truth of the matter is that the rest of Nigeria cannot do anything without the igbos.if igbos breakaway with thier enterpreneurship Nigeria will be worst than Somalia,Chad and Niger that is why they can lay down thier life at all cost to make sure that igbos remain in Nigeria, why is it that nobody fight when Ogoni land declair their independence and when Bakasi ppl was giving away. |
